Junko: You know... it sucks to have memories that don't belong to you. Once the memories of your dead friend or relative start to become your own, that's when you're no longer yourself... you're nothing more than a shadow of the past. But it's not like there are many guys that can understand that... well... except these two.

Ann: Kasumi Yoshizawa, also known as Violet of the Phantom Thieves.

Junko: And Cloud Strife, the mercenary of AVALANCHE.

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!

Kasumi was jumping on top of chandeliers in the ballroom of a large, bright castle before jumping down, landing on one knee. She stood on her feet and looked around.

Kasumi: Now... where is that treasure?

Cloud: Hey you...

She turned to see Cloud behind her with his sword over his shoulder.

Cloud: It isn't safe up here. Especially for a thief.

Kasumi: Hm? Well... I can say the same.

She drew her sword and pointed it at him.

Kasumi: For a mercenary...

Cloud: Hmph... alright then... bring it on!

Cloud dashed at Kasumi and swung his sword and Kasumi quickly blocked it before taking out her gun. He quickly jumped to the side as Kasumi nearly shot him. She spun around and started firing bullets at him. He blocked the bullets with his sword until she was out of ammo.

Kasumi: Crap!

Cloud unleashed a giant fireball that Kasumi quickly dodged. She dashed at him and they both swung their blades rapidly, clashing over and over again. Cloud went for a heavy downward slash and Kasumi quickly jumped to the side to dodge it. She went for a swing of her own but Cloud dodged it and swung his sword again. Kasumi flipped back and Cloud went for an upward swing, cutting the chandelier and causing it to drop down on Kasumi.

Kasumi: Cendrillon!

She summoned her Persona and it kicked the chandelier, blowing it to pieces.

Cloud: What?!

Kasumi looked at Cendrillon and they both nodded before dashing at Cloud. He unleashed a giant burst of lightning down on them and they dodged it. Kasumi swung her blade and Cloud dodged it before getting kicked by Cendrillon and being knocked back. She then fired two blades of light at him. Cloud swung his sword and deflected both of them. He then dashed toward Kasumi, dodging three bursts of energy emerging from the ground under him.

Cloud: Take this!

He leaped up and went for a powerful downward slash. Kasumi quickly went for an upward slash and they clashed again as Cloud quickly went for a chain of three slashes, paralyzing Kasumi.

Kasumi: Geh! My... power...

Cloud: Now I got you!

He swung his sword quickly as he was about to cut her head off. She quickly broke out of it and deflected the attack with her sword as  Cendrillon unleashed a heatwave that sent him flying. Cendrillon flew after him as he landed on the side of a pillar and jumped at it. He swung his sword but the Persona kneed him in the gut. Cendrillon then evolved into Vanadis. It grabbed Cloud by the face and threw him into the ground hard enough to make a crater. It then flew back to Kasumi's side.

Kasumi: Let's hope for a beautiful dance, Vanadis!

Vanadis unleashed a bunch of light beams at Cloud, who quickly recovered and ran to dodge them. The beams caused the area around them to erupt in explosions as Cloud swung his sword, unleashing a single blade beam that split into three. Vanadis went for a powerful kick and countered all three as Cloud dashed at Kasumi and unleashed a burst of ice that froze her solid. He then went for a powerful swing of his sword that shattered the ice and sent Kasumi flying through a pillar. She crashed to the ground and got up holding her head.

Kasumi: Ow...

Cloud took a blade out of his sword as he held both blades and dashed at Kasumi. He swung one of the blades and Kasumi blocked it as he swung the other. She dodged his attack and went for a strike of her own as he went for another swing. They clashed and jumped back before dashing at each other again.  They started clashing all over the ballroom at high speeds before Vanadis went to attack him from behind.

Cloud: Enough!

Before it could, Cloud spun around and formed a tornado that knocked both Kasumi and Vanadis back.

Cloud: It's about time I end this.

Cloud stabbed his sword into the ground and summoned six meteors that burst through the walls and aimed toward Kasumi. They blew up on impact and destroyed the entire floor causing the two of them to fall into the next floor. As Kasumi fell, the pieces of Cloud's sword circled around her. Cloud flew down and grabbed each blade, striking her mid-air in every direction. Once he got his 13th strike in, he was right above her, going for a swing to finish her off.

Kasumi: PERSONA!!!

As his blade was inches away from her face, Kasumi fused both her Persona and summoned Ella, who unleashed a burst of dazzling lights that knocked Cloud away and sent him flying under her. He fell straight to the ground and started to get up. As he did, Kasumi started jumping from rubble to rubble before throwing her sword down straight into his chest. He fell to one knee as Kasumi landed on her feet with large chunks of rubble falling around them.

Kasumi: Dazzle us... Ella!

Ella appeared right behind her, healing her as she dashed at Cloud. She quickly kicked the blade straight out of his chest as it flew into the air. He swung his sword at her but she dipped back to dodge it.

Kasumi: Saw that coming. 

She caught her blade and Cloud ran at him, but Ella sent several more swords down at him, stabbing him straight through the back. He coughed up blood and looked up to see Kasumi in the air.

Kasumi: Payback time!

He quickly swung his sword but Kasumi had already appeared behind him.

Kasumi: A perfect ten.

She sheathed her blade as his head fell clean off and his body dropped to the ground.

Kasumi: Phew... what a workout.

Ann: And scene.

Junko: That ended pretty well.

Kokonoe: While Cloud had more in his arsenal and was far more experienced than Kasumi has ever been, Kasumi had the advantage in every other category. 

Ann: Kasumi was much stronger and faster. And while Cloud has taken on stronger opponents in the past, so has Kasumi just way stronger.

Junko: Yeah, while Cloud can take a sun blowing up in his face, Kasumi can take hits from a guy who can destroy entire galaxies and Persona Users like her have been known to survive the Big Bang! And while she couldn't put any status effects on him, he didn't have many to put on her that will exploit her weaknesses.

Ann: And let's not forget that she can absorb any temporary summoning he uses him, which will only make her stronger.

Junko: And with all that Kasumi ended it with a dazzling final fantasy!

Kokonoe: The winner is Kasumi Yoshizawa.
