Kokonoe: The life of Cloud Strife was far from what you would consider normal. Born in the town of Nibelheim, Cloud grew up alone, raised only by his mother and considering himself superior to the other town kids. His only friend was Tifa Lockhart, yet after an event that claimed the life of Tifa's mother, Cloud was forbidden from seeing his friend ever again. Developing an anger problem, Cloud swore to Tifa underneath Nibelheim's water tower that he would become strong by joining the elite force SOLDIER, and emulate the great hero, Sephiroth.

Junko: And man, once he joined SOLDIER he did some badass shit! He survived the destruction of the entire moon, defeated a dragon that could fly between planets in 12 seconds, and most importantly... killed Sephiroth who turned crazy evil! Man... he must have been such a badass!

Kokonoe: Or so he thought...

Junko: Yep. Turns out Cloud never survived a badass moon explosion, he never beat a badass dragon, and most of all... he was never the SOLDIER he always wanted to be. Too bad... he just wasn't cut out for the job.

Ann: Yeah, turns out instead of Cloud joining SOLDIER, he befriended the 1st Class member, Zack Fair. Zack and Cloud went on countless adventures together with Zack mostly saving Cloud's life on multiple occasions. 

Junko: Then they got captured, Zack died, and Cloud took Zack's sword to literally stab Sephiroth in the back! He threw that bitch into the Lifestream and didn't turn back! Hah! Let's hope that guy doesn't come back stronger than ever... oh wait... 

Ann: Anyway, while Cloud did survive... the combined effects of Mako poisoning and the trauma caused by his friend's death caused Cloud to undergo a mental transformation, impressing Zack's own memories and battle style into his own, and erasing any memory of Zack himself. 

Junko: And so he traveled thinking he was a badass and became a badass! He eventually joined AVALANCHE to go against the government that he betrayed! And he was a perfect member too! The guy was super strong!

Junko: He can slice through skyscrapers with no issue at all! He's easily capable of damaging Reno and Rude, who can survive a 150-kiloton bomb exploding in their faces! He once even struck Sephiroth hard enough that the metal Sephiroth was standing on was cratered!

Kokonoe: He should be comparable to Ramza, who is superior to Vaan, who in turn defeated Gilgamesh. 

Junko: I knew that guy was all over Fate, but I didn't know he traveled beyond that too!

Kokonoe: Not the one from Fate... this Gilgamesh is capable of keeping up with Bartz Klauser and crew, who at that point have overpowered at least one of the crystals that were keeping the two halves of the FFV universe together.

Junko: Oh. Well, Cloud can still take some pretty heavy damage. He's been stabbed, cut, bludgeoned, burned, frozen, shot, poisoned, etc!

Ann: He should be comparable to Zack, who can tank Bahamut Fury's moon-busting Exa Flare. And as far as speed goes, he can easily dodge bullets and lightning.

Kokonoe: He can keep up with Sephiroth and his speed is superior to other faster than light characters like Barret Wallace, Red, and Zack himself.

Junko Still, Cloud has a dry, ironic wit to him don't you think?

Junko: He usually displays a cold demeanor towards those around him. When he held that 1st Class SOLDIER persona, he was arrogant and cocky. 

Ann: Yeah, but now that he's found his true self, he's a lot more concerned for the planet and his friends!

Kokonoe: Cloud is an expert swordsman and a decent hand-to-hand fighter. H has immense willpower and a very high pain tolerance.

Junko: He also really knows how to ride a bike and snowboard.

Ann: He's also good at using Materia.

Ann: Think of it as crystallized Mako that Cloud can use for various purposes.

Junko: The Green Materia allows him to use various magic, letting him control elements, create shields, heal himself, or even stop or slow down time!

Kokonoe: The Yellow Materia grants Cloud access to special moves while the Blue and purple Materia grants various support abilities. There's also the Red Materia that lets him summon various creatures to aid him in battle.

Ann: Cloud has wilded plenty of different swords, but his best weapon is the Fusion Sword.

Ann: His go-to weapon replacing the Buster Sword, the Fusion Sword is an assembly of six different blades suited to a variety of combat situations! The blades can be assembled into one Buster Sword-Esque blade for extra power which is primarily used for crushing, but strong enough to slice solid concrete and endure blows from Sephiroth's Masamune!

Kokonoe: The main sword is the First Tsurugi, which is the sword he typically uses. And yes... it can be used with one hand.

Ann: Then there's the Hollow Blade. This one doesn't have an inner core, but is essentially a thick sheet of metal; can be used as a second blade for dual-wielding or as a projectile weapon.

Kokonoe: After that are the Back Blades. Two identical-sized longswords, one straight-edged and the other saw-toothed.

Ann: And finally, the Side-Blades, which are identical dagger-like blades that can be used as off-hand weapons. They're essentially only used to add extra force when the Fusion Sword is assembled.

Junko: He also has a bow that negates any status effects except time stop, slowing time down or any insta-kill attack.

Ann: Oh, let's not forget Cloud's Limit Breaks. His first one is Braver

Ann: A level 1 Limit Break where he leaps into the air and unleashes a downward slash!

Junko: He's got another Level 1 Limit Breaker called Cross-Slash!

Junko: Where he slashes his opponent thrice! It has the potential of paralyzing his opponent so he can do whatever he wanted to them after!

Ann: Moving from level 1 to Level 2 he has the Blade Beam.

Ann: This unleashes a single blade beam that splits into three upon impact!

Kokonoe: The other Level 2 attack is Climhazzard!

Kokonoe: Where Cloud impales his foe, then leaps, running his blade along his opponent.

Ann: Now onto Level 3! With my favorite, Meteorain!

Ann: Where he spins his sword around, then swings it down, firing off six meteors to crush his foes!

Junko: And finally the Finishing Touch!

Junko: He spins around and unleashes a tornado! If you ain't strong enough, you're gonna get insta-killed!

Kokonoe: But there is a Level 4 Limit Break that's even stronger. His signature technique, the Omni-slash.

Kokonoe: He splits the assembled Fusion Sword into its six pieces, then assails the foe from all directions with each blade totaling up to 13 hits, then finishes by striking from above with the main blade.

Ann: With all this power, it's no wonder he can keep up with his world's heavy hitters. But he does have a few weaknesses.

Kokonoe: While a smart and skilled fighter in his own right, tends to prefer overpowering his foes through sheer brute strength over tactical magic attacks while also being brash and quick to anger.

Junko: He's also suffering from some pretty bad PTSD! But don't be too cocky around him, this is one kid you don't wanna mess with!

Cloud: The combination of Jenova cells, Sephiroth's strong will, and my own weakness are what created me. Everyone knew that. I'm... Cloud... the master of my own illusionary world. But I can't remain trapped in an illusion anymore. I'm going to live my life without pretending.
