Junko: Don't you just hate it when a gaming franchise introduces you to a badass princess, only for that princess to be underutilized because they were always in someone else's shadow?

Kokonoe: Well, these two know that feeling better than anyone.

Ann: Blaze the Cat, princess of another dimension in SEGA!

Junko: And Princess Daisy, princess of Sarasaland in Nintendo!

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

A giant racing track was set as everyone in attendance was cheering loud. Ann Takamiki came up as a judge.

Ann: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Mario & Sonic Death Race 2022! Where our combatants will race all around the world! Introducing first! From Sarasaland, Daisy with her cool-looking motorcycle!

Daisy came in with her bike waving to everyone.

Daisy: HI!

As she waved, her opponent came walking beside her.

Ann: And her opponent! The princess of another dimension, Blaze the Cat! She doesn't get a bike but no worry, she'll be running on foot!

Everyone cheered as Blaze looked at Daisy.

Blaze: Let's see if you can keep up.

Daisy: Hmph.

Daisy got on her bike and started it up.

Ann: On your mark... get set... 

The two of them dashed off. Daisy drove her bike in front of Blake and dropped a banana peel.

Daisy: Whoops!

Blaze ran to the side to not trip over it as she was starting to catch up. Daisy noticed this as she pulled out a Bob-omb and tossed it back at Blaze. It blew up but Blaze managed to jump over both the explosion and Dasiy as she was right in front of her running ahead.

Daisy: Grrr!

Daisy pulled out a red shell and a blue one. She threw both of them and the red shell quickly caused Blaze to trip as the blue one flew above her and smashed her face into the ground. Daisy drove past her laughing.

Daisy: Ha Ha!

Blaze: Grrr!

Blaze flew up and made several pillars of fire in front of Daisy, who was quick to dodge them. Blaze then landed on the ground and accelerated in seconds, boosting straight past Daisy and sending her flying into a grassy field. Daisy quickly recovered and made a large gate of flowers that blocked Blaze's path.

Daisy: Sorry, but you won't be getting away that fast! 

Blaze: Oh? Are you going to stop me?

Daisy smiled and pulled out a bow and arrows, firing at Blaze who dodged two arrows and grabbed the third before snapping it in half. She jumped up in the air and launched herself forward but Daisy pulled out her tennis racket and swung it, unleashing a giant burst of wind that knocked and sent Blaze flying back. She caught herself and quickly shot a fireball that Daisy dodged. Daisy pulled out a rapier and dashed at Blaze, swinging it several times but Blaze dodged all the strikes and made a flaming sword. She swung it and Daisy blocked with her rapier only for it to be easily melted in two. 

Daisy: Uh oh.

The flaming sword disappeared as Blaze unleashed a wave of fire that knocked Daisy back. The princess quickly recovered as she punched the ground and caused massive crystals to burst toward Blaze, who quickly jumped over them, igniting her fist with flames. Daisy saw this and engulfed her fist with crystal as they both went for a punch. As they clashed, they made a massive shockwave around them and a massive crater underneath them. Daisy then went for another punch that sent Blaze flying into the air. 

Daisy: Gotcha!

She quickly got back on her bike and drove off. Blaze stopped herself mid-air and saw Daisy driving off. She quickly flew after her and started shooting fireballs. Daisy noticed this and looked behind her.

Daisy: She just won't give up will she?

Daisy raised up her hand and unleashed a burst of lightning from the sky. Blaze dodged it quickly and unleashed a giant fireball at Daisy. Princess Daisy pulled out a heart and caught the fireball before sending it straight back at Blaze. The fireball blew up in Blaze's face and knocked her to the ground but Blaze was quick to recover and ran back after Daisy. As Blaze started to get closer, Daisy pulled out her parasol and smacked Blaze in the face with it, knocking her back and causing her to run into a tree.

Daisy: Ha!

She smiled and made a sharp turn back on the race track. Blaze recovered as her eye glowed red with flames bursting out. She dashed through the trees and passed Daisy before getting right in front of her bike. Daisy saw this and used a Super Star. She glowed a bunch of colors and dashed straight towards Blaze, who was running back after Daisy with a Fire Boost. They both destroyed everything in their path before finally clashing and causing a giant, colorful explosion that knocked them both back. They both got up from the ground as Daisy threw a turnip at her. Blaze swatted it away and Daisy threw a Javelin. Baze swatted that away too and saw Daisy begin to dance.

Blaze: What the?

Suddenly, Blaze was starting to feel sleepy. Giant flowers came down from the sky and Daisy used them to heal herself as Blaze fell to one knee. Daisy then pulled out a giant mallet and walked toward the sleepy kitty.

Daisy: Take this!

Daisy swung the mallet and sent Blaze flying through a bunch of trees. She smiled and got back on her bike, driving off with a look of confidence. Meanwhile, the Seven Sol Emeralds glowed around Blaze and she started to open her eyes.

Meanwhile, Daisy was driving along the track as she could see the finish line. She started to speed up with a smile on her face before a fireball suddenly hit the back of her bike and blew it up. Daisy rolled on the ground before looking up and seeing Burning Blaze. Daisy got back up more annoyed than happy. She pulled out the Star Rod and started waving it around as Blaz flew at her. 

Daisy: Now I got you!

Daisy unleashed a giant blast of magical energy and Blaze flew straight through it. She then burst through Daisy's body, ripping her to pieces and crossing the finish line. Everyone cheered as Blaze reverted back to her base form and Daisy's body parts were falling from the sky.

Blaze: Hmph. Too easy.

Junko: Well now, Luigi won't be happy with this one.

Kokonoe: This fight was... a complicated one at best. Because Daisy mostly appeared in spin-off games, it actually worked to her advantage in a way... granting her a larger arsenal to keep Blaze on her feet. 

Ann: As far as speed and strength go, we know Daisy is physically stronger but not as durable. But since she mostly appears in spin-offs we could easily say she can keep up with Blaze and other Sonic characters thanks to the Olympic games.

Junko: Buuuut, even if we did highball Daisy to that extent, it really wouldn't have mattered. 

Ann: Right. In the end, Blaze's firepower was far too great and wasn't even close to anything Daisy has dealt with in the past. And the years of experience Blaze has over Daisy made it to where her strength advantage wouldn't be enough to capitalize upon.

Junko: Even then, if we compare her to everyone in the Olympic games it wouldn't matter. Daisy's strong but Burning Blaze takes any advantage Daisy may have and tosses it out the window.

Kokonoe: Since the transformation makes Blaze 3,000 times faster than her base form, it would be seemingly impossible for Daisy to keep up even if we did highball it.

Ann: And even if Daisy did keep up, she had nothing in her arsenal to get past Burning Blaze's invulnerability. Eventually, Blaze would overwhelm Daisy and pick up the win.

Junko: Still, even I gotta admit this catfight was hot!

Ann: How long were you waiting on that one?

Junko: It was for a different battle but since that battle is taking forever to get to, I'll do it for this one instead.

Kokonoe: The winner is Blaze the Cat.
