Adam: Godzilla has fought a wide variety of Kaijus and mechas throughout his franchise, ranging from the likes of Biollante, King Ghdiorah, MechaGodzilla, Orga, Gigan, Megaguirus,etc. But today, we're pitting two of his strongest foes from the Heisei and Millennium eras.

Vanessa: Such as Monster X, the Xiliens' most powerful weapon.

Adam: And Destoroyah, the Living Oxygen Destroyer.

Vanessa: He's my dad, Adam, and I'm his daughter, Vanessa.

Adam: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find who would win..... a DEATH BATTLE.

Vanessa: In the mid-20th century, the Earth Defense Force, or EDF, has defeated every Kaiju on the planet, except for the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla.

Adam: After an intense fight, along with an avalanche, the Gotengo managed to contain Godzilla in an icy tomb. With Godzilla seemingly defeated, peace was brought into the world and the EDF grew even stronger.

Vanessa: For several years, the EDF has easily defeated multiple threats. But out of nowhere and without warning, several Kaijus attacks at once. Aliens called the Xiliens warned Earth about an asteroid called Gorath was coming and going to destroy Earth  unless all their weapons are aimed at it.

Adam: But when it was revealed that the Xiliens were controlling the monsters, planning a hostile takeover and Gorath actually being nothing more than a hologram, a man named Shinichi decided to to call Captain Gordon, the same man who fought Godzilla in the past. Knowing that Godzilla is the only one who can stop the monsters and the Xilien's, they decided to free him from his ice prison and lure him around the world to defeat the mind-controlled Kaijus.

Vanessa And Godzilla whooped multiple Kaiju asses, defeating the likes of Kumonga, Rodan, Ceasar and that ripoff Zilla. That is, until it the real Gorath appeared and heading for Earth. And what did Godzilla do? Use his Atomic Breath to slow it and and tanking it the city busting asteroid head on!

Adam: But to everyone's surprise, Gorath is actually a vessel for X's secret weapon..... Monster X!

Vanessa:..... Monster X? Really? I know Super Saiyan transformations just has the name "Super" and just adding numbers on them but come on, you could've named him with something better! Like Titan X or even Omega X.

Adam: That's not a bad idea.

Adam: Names aside, Monster X is a force to be reckoned with. He possesses incredible strength and knows martial arts, which can explain why he can match the King of the Monsters in close quarter combat.

Vanessa: He also has limited levitation and can fire yellow electric beams form his eyes and shoulder eyes.

Adam: But if X is pushed to the limits, he can bust out his most powerful form yet, Keizer Ghidorah!

Vanessa: That's actually a fitting name considering Keizer means "Emperor" in German, a higher position than a king.

Adam: As a Ghidorah Keizer possesses the power to manipulate gravity, though his own version, the Antigravity beams, are stronger than even the likes of King Ghidorah.

Vanessa: And while it was never shown in Final Wars, Keizer obviously can fly and lift heavy opponents like Godzilla with his telekinesis.

Popup: Keizer has the ability to fly in the IDW comics, but is never shown in the movie due to the limitations of the suit.

Adam: Monster X is easily of Godzilla's strongest opponents. He's matched the King of the Monsters in combat and tanked an Atomic Breath to the face without much damage. And Keizer Ghidorah is considered the strongest Ghidorah of them all, trumping the likes of King Ghidorah and DesGhidorah. Well, unless you include the anime version.

Popup: While Ghidorah Void is without a doubt the most powerful version, its powers and origins are far too different from its Showa, Heisei and Monsterverse counterparts. Not to mention the only reason he's untouchable is because of a stone that anchors him to that universe's reality. Once it was removed, Godzilla Earth was able to easily kill him.

Vanessa: And that King Ghidorah monster? He's responsible for the mass extinction of the dinosaurs in the Cretaceous Period and wiped out the civilization on Venus and nearly choked Godzilla with his necks. And his Antigravity beams send Godzilla from the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge.

Adam: Monster X has defeated Mothra and tanked Kiryu's Absolute Zero Cannon, which can destroy objects at an atomic level. Keizer Ghidorah via telekinesis has lifted the 55,000 ton Godzilla and tossed him around.

Vanessa: Keizer also flew from the middle of Manhattan to the Statue of Liberty in a few seconds. Given that the distance of 9.4 miles and takes 19 minutes to travel, to cover that wide of a gap in several seconds, Keizer must've flew around 6,768 miles per hour. That's over 8.8 times the speed of sound.

Vanessa: Shockingly, as powerful as he is, X nor Keizer are not without their faults. While Keizer is strong, his potential isn't fully shown compared to his inferior form Monster X.

Adam: Keizer Ghidorah also loses his agility upon his transformation. And like King Ghidorah, Keizer Ghidorah's heads can be easily decapitated as shown during his fight with Godzilla.

Vanessa: And he was ultimately defeated by Godzilla at the end of Final Wars when he sends Keizer into space via Red Spiral Ray, which causes him to explode.

Adam: But one thing's for sure, Monster X is certainly one of the deadliest Kaijus Godzilla faced without outside help.

Destoroyah eradicates DEATH BATTLE

Adam: In the year 1954, a giant radioactive monster called Godzilla rose form the waters and decimated Japan. Any attempts to defeat him was useless, until a man named Dr. Serizawa created an extremely powerful weapon named the Oxygen Destroyer.

Vanessa: As the name implies. Fearing it's own existence proved far deadlier than any nuke the world could make. Fearing mankind would use this, Dr. Serizawa destroyed all knowledge of the Oxygen Destroyer and killed Godzilla along with himself.

Adam: But unbeknownst to everyone, the Oxygen Destroyer has accidentally mutated a Precambrian colony of prehistoric crustaceans underwater. While it was in its microscopic form, Desotroyah eventually grew big enough to pose a threat to Japan.

Vanessa: After a while, Destoroyah has tangled with Junior in both its Aggregated and Flying Form before being forced to retreat. But he returned with a badass intro and an all new form.

Adam: This Kaiju is damn pure evil incarnate, even going as far to kidnap Junior, drop him unto and killing him with his Micro-Oxygen attack.

Vanessa: *Horrified* Junior, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Adam: With his son dead and reaching his melting down, the mourning and enraged Godzilla engaged Destoroyah in a no holds barred death battle, heh, see what I did there? 

Vanessa: Boooo!!!

Adam: *Ignores Vanessa* Though his opponent was mutated from the weapon that killed him in the first place, Godzilla's increasing power eventually let him severely injure Destoroyah and with the help of the military, killed him once and for all.

Vanessa: But like any good Godzilla villain, Destoroyah returns, more deadlier than ever. And this Kaiju's english name isn't called Destroyer for nothing.

Vanessa: As a Kaiju mutated from the weapon that killed the 1954 Godzilla, it's no surprise that Destoroyah possess an arsenal similar to that of the weapon. He can fire Micro-Oxygen Beams or inject them with it, breaking down their cells and adding to his own.

Adam: As a crustacean Kaiju, Destoroyah is packing very tough armor. He's tipped with spikes all over his body, has a pincer tail and that has a vice grip that won't let go and has large demonic wings. And if you think they're simply for display because Destoroyah's too heavy, think again bitches! He can fly.

Vanessa: Destoroyah has the ability to split himself into his multiple forms. He can overwhelm opponents in numbers with his Aggregated forms. His Flying Form gives Destoroyah an aerial advantage and possess super strength and durability in his Final Form.

Adam: But his most powerful attack is the Oxygen Destroyer Chest Beam. Though not shown in the movie, this chest attack is powerful enough to cut off Godzilla's tail and one of his spikes.

Popup: This was cut from the movie since it was more focused on Godzilla's meltdown. But it has been used in the Godzilla vs Destoroyah manga.

Vanessa: By the grace of Lord Zeno. No wonder Destoroyah is a truly terrifying Kaiju to face in battle, and all of that power comes from the weapon that killed the first Godzilla.

Adam: Destoroyah ranks among the deadliest foes Godzilla has faced, a title only shared by the likes of SpaceGodzilla, all variations of MechaGodzilla, King Ghidorah and Gigan. He's one-shot Mothra with little effort and killed Godzilla literally in Hell.

Vanessa: Desotroyah is one of the two Kaijus besides SpaceGodzilla to attack Godzilla not just physically, but emotionally as well. This is shown when Destoroyah was willing to kidnap Godzilla Jr and kill him in front of Godzilla's eyes.

Adam: And though he did cough up blood, Destoroyah has withstood Burning Godzilla's Super Red Spiral Ray on several occasions.

Popup: The Red Spiral Ray is known for one-shotting other powerful Kaijus like SpaceGodzilla and severely damaging Super MechaGodzilla.

Vanessa: He also dodge Godzilla's Atomic Breath in his Flying Form, which, by the way, can tag SpaceGodzilla who can travel in outer space. And in the manga, Destoroyah has even sliced the moon in half.

Adam: Destoroyah also managed to defeat Burning Godzilla in melee combat. A weaker version of Godzilla in the Heisei era has lifted and threw the 150,000 ton MechaGodzilla.

Vanessa: And though he is weak to extreme temperatures, the fact Destoroyah traded blows with overheating Godzilla and win the majority of their encounters is a testament of his immense strength.

Adam: But Destoroyah is still far from being the most invincible Godzilla villain in the Heisei era. He is extremely vulnerable to freezing weapons, which is likely due to the temperature liquifying Destoroyah's micro-oxygen in his body.

Vanessa: Take the time when he was killed by Kiryu's Absolute Zero Cannon which can freeze enemies inside out at an atomic level.

Popup: Ironically in Godzilla Unleashed; Destroyah is stated to be resistant to freezing attacks despite the movie canon directly stating cold to be his greatest weakness.

Adam: He was also defeated by Godzilla on numerous occasions.

Vanessa: Ironically, Destoroyah is also the first Kaiju to be killed by the military that did not include a mecha. Adding insult to injury is that fact this was before the the 1998 Zilla film came out. Grrrrr, you win this round you stupid reptile.

Adam: Destoroyah's size also makes him slow and bulky on land, so don't expect him to dodge attacks from the likes of Rodan and Mothra. He even lost to the Anguirus, a physically weaker Kaiju who had the help of the military.

Vanessa: But considering his feats and powers, you're gonna need for than measly ice weapons to bring this Destroyer down.
