Moro vs Tirek
Dragon Ball vs My Little Pony
Connection:
Both are powerful, imposing, cunning, manipulative, and deceitful antagonists that boast an animalistic design based on bovidae (goat and bull respectively). That were drained of their magic and imprisoned centuries ago by powerful, benevolent, divine protectors (The Grand Supreme Kai and Princess Celestia respectively)
Both would escape from their imprisonment centuries later, harboring a grudge and an intense hatred for the ones' who imprisoned them, desiring to enact revenge on them as well as a lofty goal of total conquest
Both are evil sorcerers who most noticeably possess the unique ability to drain people of their life force. Gaining their victims' powers in the process
They undergo several transformations throughout their arc by absorbing more energy, including starting from an old, decrepit form, and becoming more youthful before finally entering a prime state
Both would recruit a powerful ally in the form of a being who was once a cosmic threat (Seven-Three and Discord respectively), who they would later betray and steal their power (Moro paralyzed and ate Seven-Three, while Tirek betrayed Discord and stole his magic) beginning the final stages of their power)
Both would engage in a climatic final conflict with the protagonists, that would eventually end with the heroes harnessing the power of others to defeat them once and for all (Goku harnessing ki from his allies to defeat Moro and Twilight and the Mane Six unlocking Rainbow Magic from the friendship they harnessed)
Both are also loosely based on hellish figures from biblical-adjacent works (Moro being based on the Canaanite god Moloch while Tirek's original incarnation from G1 was based on the Satanic Minotaur from Dante's Inferno)
