Final Fantasy XVI vs Asura's Wrath

Both were betrayed and setup by the people they trusted most as a scapegoat for their plans (Clive's mother Anabella betraying the Rosfields and their Kingdom so she can take advantage of the Phoenix, while the Deities betrayed Asura to get his daughter Mithra which is the reason for making the Deities strong)

Both were thought long dead but came back with nothing but vengeance on their mind (Clive wanting to kill the person that killed his brother while Asura was determined to destroy every Deity that is in his way to save his daughter).

Both learn that vengeance isn't really all that especially if it's man vs god (Ultima being the creator of the world of FF16 and its magic while Chakravartin being the god who controls the world of Gaea)

Both their journeys wouldn't be possible without help from a person they trust (Clive's partner Jill being with him throughout his entire journey keeping him safe as well helping him accept the truth, while Asura's rival Yasha allied him throughout his journey because of him seeing the Deities greed so he installs the Mantea Reactor into Asura which eventually lead to them have one last battle and Asura admitting he always has seen him as a brother)

Both have accepted on their own issues which succeed on their problem they were facing (Clive fighting his Eikon and accepting that he killed his brother while Asura accepting the reason for his Wrath to defeat Chakravartin)

Eventually both sacrificed themselves to get rid of the power their gods were addicted to (Clive sacrificing himself destroying Ultima's creation removing magic from its world making everyone free while Asura destroying Chakravartin which also means killing himself as well so that landscape around him can be freed from Chakravartins and Deities absents and also so that his Daughter can live free from danger)
