Both are two of the most iconic protagonists in Shonen Jump Born as powerless kids in a world where superpowers are the regular and even the expected (Asta is born without the ability to use magic and Deku is one of the 20% who are born Quirkless)

Both grow up with a childhood friend/rival who is considered a prodigy and have the same goal as them (Katsuki Bakugou and Yuno Grinberryall and Katsuki Bakugo respectively) and having the same goal in mind (Asta and Yuno vowing to become the Wizard, with Deku and Bakugo voiwng to become the Number One Hero)

Both obtain a special power that they inherit from someone they admire their entire life at the age of 15 (Asta inheriting Lumiere Silvamillion Clover's Five Leaf Clover Grimoire and Deku inheriting All Might's One for All Quirk)

Both had to train their bodies in order to use their power to its fullest (Asta had to bulk up in order to use his swords whereas Izuku had to bulk up in order to avoid exploding)

Despite supposedly failing,  both their power allows them to pursue their dream by passing a test and impressing the people overseeing to allow them to join

Both joined a group that has a motto all about surpassing their limits (Black Bulls and Class 1-A respectively)

Both their  powers eventually evolve and grant more abilities (Asta obtaining multiple different swords with  Izuku obtaining multiple different Quirks). Their powers are the most fit for them due to their previously powerless nature (The anti-magic swords drain mana whereas One for All ages a Quirked User quickly)

Both their powers are sentient (The Grimoire and Liebe for Asta & One For All and the past users for Deku)

Both have an ability that allows them to sense their opponents and incoming danger

Both have an ability that allows them to control the sky with flight

Both worked alongside the former sidekicks of their idols, who searched for a worthy successor for the special powers

At one point, both their arms were damaged severely and would've ended their careers, but they find a way in order to get around this obstacle (Asta got his arms fixed by the Witch Queen whereas Izuku remembered he had legs)

Both are socially and romantically awkward in opposite ways (Asta is loud and hyperactive whereas Deku is timid and reserved

Both proved themselves to be capable of fighting a war against a major army lead by a mastermind (Eye of the Midnight Son led by Licht and the League of Villains led by All For One) who turned out to be a pawn in another scheme (Zagred and Tomura Shigaraki respectviely)

Both also take pride in their respective uniforms

Both rescue a little kid(Maria Adlai and Kota Izumi respectively), earning their respect and recognition
