It was a tropical island that was not marked on any map and seemingly unknown to the rest of the world. It had been abandoned for some time now, as all that had left behind by the previous inhabitants were large elaborates ruins and vast riches that were locked away deep inside. While devoid of a single inhabitant, the island itself was still lush and green making it feel like a little piece of paradise with the impressive structure of the ruins themselves still remaining a marvelous sight to behold despite their current condition. But recently, the lost island was finally discovered as a vast pirate crew made up of strange beings who had settled on it and now covered almost every inch of it. Small creatures armed with spears known as "Pirate Gooms" and other kinds of minions paced around and hid about on the look out for intruders. Not only were they on patrol through out the island, but many of them were scattered about the vast chambers and hall ways of the ruins themselves.

They were none other than the Brown Sugar Pirates! Thought to have been disbanded many years ago, this pirate crew lead by their lady captain were still quite active contrary to what others believed. Rather than cause a commotion and make themselves known, they instead opted to do steal things in private and not leave a trace of their existence behind when they were done.

Deep in the ruins, many kinds of golden and bejeweled treasures were being carried out little by little, with one of the last being a large treasure chest. A sultry red haired pirate looked it over, having made sure to bypass and disable all the various booby traps of this temple while also making certain that this heavy chest was safe. She was their leader: Captain Syrup! After her inspection, she gave a hand signal to a bunch of pelicans. With a rope wrapped around the treasure chest, the pelicans held onto the other end and took flight, trying their best to lift it with their combined strength. They finally managed to lift the heavy chest off the ground, now they just had to carry it all the way to Syrup's ship: The Sweet Stuff, and they'd be ready to go.

SLASH!

Just then, a scimitar was thrown out of seemingly nowhere, cutting through the rope and causing it to fall back onto the ground with a loud thud! Syrup and her crew were taken by surprise, as the scimitar spun around in mid air before turning back the opposite direction like a boomerang.A woman with pale purple skin wearing a large pirate hat and a skull face-like top that exposed her navel leapt into the air and caught the boomerang-like sword, doing a flip on her way back down and landing on her feet. This was a pirate one who Captain Syrup had never seen before. It seemed this clever girl had managed to bypass the other pirates patrolling the island and made her way into the deep depths of the temple. She had to admit, she had guts, but she was definitely not of sound mind if she had come here all by herself."Well well, what do we have here? It seems we have ourselves an uninvited guest! What's the matter, sweetie? Are you lost?" Captain Syrup asked, not at all intimidated by the woman that stood before her."Yeah yeah, don't get cute with me. I may have gotten here a bit late, but I'm not just going to sit back and let you take everything! Normally I'd just come down with a heavy assault on this entire place and blow you up, but I'm feeling generous today. So why don't you and your goons leave this place and sail somewhere else?" She explained, then changing tone as she gave a coy smile. "Besides, I don't wanna damage any precious merchandise..." She added.

"That's a rather generous offer, but I can tell you're lying through your teeth... You have no intention of letting us simply walk away, and you're probably going to sink our my ship the or even plunder it yourself. The second I turn around, you're going to literally stab me in the back." "Oh come now, do I look like a liar to you?" Risky Boots asked, smiling with her eyes half closed in a flirtatious manner.

"You wouldn't be much of a pirate if you weren't. Believe me honey, I've been in this game much longer than you have, so I KNOW how this works... Tell me, does the name 'Captain Syrup' ring a bell for you?" She asked.

"Wait, you're Captain Syrup? You were actually a big deal in the pirate world for awhile! ... But then you disappeared... You must have really lost your edge if you're still at it and no one cares anymore."

"Oh no, I've actually been doing quite well for myself! I just prefer to work behind the scenes these days and take things when no ones looking... that, or sending some hopeless drone to do my dirty work and then taking everything for myself. I don't really mind if no one thinks I exist anymore, especially if it means I can get away with anything."

"HA! You just don't want a reputation because you're afraid you'll pick a fight with the wrong people and they'll come chasing after you again! A real pirate not only makes sure that everyone knows their name, but makes sure to defend their title so everyone FEARS it! Like me! I'm Risky Boots: Queen of the Seven Seas!"

"Queen, huh? Well your highness, I'm sorry to say that we're not going to give up with out a fight... Besides, you're not only out numbered, but you're also surrounded!"

"Is that so?" Risky Boots then snapped her fingers. Shortly afterwards, several small skinny black creatures crept out of the shadows and revealed themselves, some clinging to the walls while others poked their heads from out of their hiding places. These were Risky Boot's very own tinkerbats, and it seemed Captain Syurp and her crew were now the ones surrounded.Several of Risky's tinkerbats got behind her now ready to receive their orders. Meanwhile, several of Syrup's very own pirate gooms went to her side, ready to defend her from their opponents. The two pirate Captains stood across from each other and smiled. Both were intrigued to see just what the other had in store, both were already thinking ahead of how to one up each other, and both were confident that they'd win. They intended to not just take each other down, but take everything that belonged to the other and leaving them with absolutely nothing... possibly not even their lives.

Rather than get their hands dirty, the two women immediately stepped to the side lines as their minions charged into each other instead.

The pirate goons went in with their spears aimed straight forward, immediately piercing the Tinkerbats before hoisting them to the side. They then set their sights on Risky Boots and charged for her next, only to be ambushed from above as another wave of Tinkerbats came down equipped with swords, slashing down on the goons and taking them out.

Another group of pirate goons dashed on in, while the Tinkerbats stacked up on top of each other like totem poles, standing on top of one another in groups of three. They each pulled out pistols and aimed them straight forward, showering the goons with round pellets and blowing them away one after the other.

However, a group of moles with sun glasses known as a "Guraguras" stepped out into the open, taking cover behind their large spiked balls like shields. They then rolled them forward into their foes, knocking over the stacks of Tinkerbats like mere bowling pins as they toppled over one another with several getting crushed by the spiked balls themselves!

The ones that survived took out their cutlasses and charged the now defenseless guragura's, only to be met a barrage of boomerangs smacking them across their heads, which then circled around and were caught by short duck pirates. From above, a bunch of wolf-like pirates poked from out of holes in the wall, taking out glass bottles and flinging them at the Tinkerbats. The bottles shattered upon impact, knocking out their designated targets little by little.

Bombs fell from seemingly nowhere and landed in the feet of the Tinkerbats, blowing them up with small but potent blasts. It seemed a bunch of pelicans were dropping explosives from above. The Tinkerbats that survived continued to plow through, taking out small battering rams and smashing into the enemies before them, while others began climbing on stone pillars to reach enemies on higher ground, pulling out brown glass bottles of their own and flinging it in their direction, successfully knocking a few the pelicans out of the air and a few and bottle throwing gaugau's out from their hiding spaces.

The crew members who were struck found themselves plummeting down to the ground below, now woozy from the damage and surrounded by more Tinkerbats. The pelicans retaliated by firing out spiked fish projectiles from their mouths while the gaugau's fought off the incoming Tinkerbats with knives, but they were soon over whelmed at the Tinkerbats dog piled on top of them one after another.

Back up immediately arrived as penguins and small hooded wizards took aim from the side lines. The penguins flung glass mugs of beer at the Tinkerbats, which caused them to stumble around as if they were intoxicated. Meanwhile, other Tinkerbats found themselves getting hit by orbs of magic, causing them to shrink down and become more vulnerable as they were trampled by more incoming pirate goons. The intoxicated Tinkerbats could only defend themselves by belching as they found themselves being showered by more explosives and projectiles from above.

They were being taken out at such a rate that it wasn't long until Risky Boots and the other Tinkerbats found themselves out numbered.

"Things don't seem to be looking good for you, sweetie. Just look on the bright side: In the very least no one will hear of your humiliating defeat. I can make sure of that!" Syrup said as her crew mates plowed through the Tinkerbats and making their way towards the purple pirate.

"What? You really think this is all I got? Believe me, there's a LOT MORE where they came from!" Risky Boots exclaimed, then snapping her finger.

Explosions were heard in the distance, before-

CRASH!

A cannon ball bigger than Risky Boots herself smashed through the ceiling, landing directly on top of the ground of incoming enemies that were about to jump her, crushing them underneath. The cannon ball stuck up have way from it's crater, as it appeared to lightly open up, revealing a Tinkerbat who hopped on out, and then another, and then another, and then another! It wasn't a mere cannon ball, but a pod filled with Tinkerbats!

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

More cannon ball-like pods smashed through the walls and ceilings of the temple, knocking over stone pillars and crushing more groups of Syrup's minions upon impact. As they crashed, the ruins crumbled as Captain Syrup shook in place momentarily, clinging to one of the walls in an attempt to retain her balance.

Tinkerbats armed with mechanical wings took into the air, knocking the pelicans out of the sky with dive bombing attacks while others ganged up on the wizards, slicing them in two with their cutlasses and revealing them to be nothing more than two pirate goons stacked up on each other. The projectiles from Syrup's crew kept coming, but no matter what it seemed there was no end to the Tinkerbats. No matter how many they managed to defeat or immobilize, they seemed to be gaining numbers too quickly! But how?

BOOM!

A Tinkerbat had just thrown an explosive barrel into a group of crew members, blowing them up and sending them flying in different directions, momentarily startling Captain Syrup once more.

However, she remained calm and collected, now analyzing the battlefield. She looked back at the several pods scattered through out the temple, and noticed that Tinkerbats were still popping up from them. Either those pods were bigger on the inside than they were on the outside, or they were some sort of spawning vessels that were actually producing more!

She signaled for two of her larger crew mates to join the fight: A Pirate goon that towered over her wielding a trident, while the other was a large bird with a jolly roger on his belly known as "Bobo". On her command, the giant spear man charged on foot while Bobo took to the air.

The giant spear man plowed through numerous Tinkerbats, while their weapons and projectiles were being deflected by the trident he held before him. He knocked away numerous Tinkerbats before getting to his desired target: The giant pod. He immediately began to thrust his trident into it, striking it repeatedly until it finally exploded and finally eroded. He then made his way to another pod, about to continue his assault.

Up above, Bobo maneuvered around the winged Tinkerbats, flapping his wings and blowing them away with a powerful gust of wind. He then spit up smaller birds known as "watches" which intercepted other incoming enemies and acted as meat shields to protect him from incoming projectiles. Bobo made his way over to one of the pods, clenching his large talons over it as he slowly lifted it from the ground. Once airborne, he carried it over above another pod and dropped it. When the two collided, they both blew up before disappearing.

Once again the battle was turning in Captain Syrup's favor, as once more the tinkerBats began to slowly die down in number where as more of the brown sugar pirates began making their way to the battle field and joining. Risky Boots grew annoyed, but it didn't matter, she could easily signal for more pods to be fired their way! She didn't even care if she brought this place down: They could always dig through the wreckage later!

Just then, an annoying sound pierced the skull bra lady's ears (Just Like Marx Soul did to ME).
Risky Boots found herself covering her ears from a sudden high pitched ringing that filled the air. She grunted her teeth, barely able to think as the noise pierced her ears, disrupting her concentration as well as the coordination of herself and her Tinkerbats. She looked around, trying to figure out where the source of that unbearable noise was coming from while her Tinkerbats continued to drop like flies. Captain Syrup and her crew seemed unaffected, continuing their assault as if nothing was happening.

Unable to control her Tinkerbats, Risky Boots was confronted by Syrup's pirate crew who were armed with their spears, knives, and boomerangs. The purple pirate had no choice but to fight back, pulling out her scimitar and swinging it to keep them at bay. A bomb was dropped at her feet from one of the pelican's above, which detonated before she could get out of the way.

BOOM!

It sent her flying back into a wall, her vision and hearing absolutely rattled by both the explosive and the noise that polluted the air. Risky rose back up, noticing among the commotion that several pirate goons were now hoisting the treasure chest from earlier over their heads while Captain Syrup sat on top of it. She waved good bye to Risky Boots as they began making off with the treasure, about to leave Risky and her Tinkerbats to the mercy of the black sugar pirates.

Now Risky Boots was mad. It was time to suck it up, ignore the pain, and both find the source of that noise and take down her target.

Risky Boots dashed, accelerating at such speed she left a series of after images behind as she held her sword out in front of her. While moving at such speeds she not only avoided all projectiles being flung and shot her way from different directions, but also skewered any unlucky enemies that stood in her way, taking them all out one after another in a row.

However, her dash was cut short when she finally ran into the giant spear man, who swung his trident before him and knocked Risky Boots back. Risky Boots landed on her feet with one hand on her ear while the other held her sword. She didn't have time to fight this guy: her enemy was getting away!

The giant spear man charged towards Risky Boots, only for the nimble pirate to leap above him. She then held her sword below her, and came plunging down on his head. After piercing her enemy, the giant goon flipped upside down, revealing it's vulnerable underside like a turtle that had been flipped onto it's back.

Not allowing her enemy mercy, the queen of the seven seas took to the air a second time, this time pulling out a cannon from seemingly nowhere and aiming it down below her. She then fired off three cannon balls consecutively in a row at the large helpless minion, finishing him off as he exploded into a small puff of smoke.

With that obstacle out of her way, Risky Boots finally managed to intercept Captain Syrup and her pirate goons, blocking off their escape route She pulled out her pistol, aiming it with one eye closed as she held the side of her head with her other hand while trying her best to focus. The ringing was still filling the air, and it was only getting worse. Captain Syrup remained in place with a sly smirk on her face.

"My, you're really persistent! But really darling, how do you expect to hit me when you can't even see straight?" Syrup asked.

With out answering, Risky Boots simply pulled the trigger, while Syrup leapt off the chest gracefully into the air and landed on her feat unharmed. However, it seemed Syrup wasn't actually her target: the large black pellet that had shot fourth from Risky's pistol had hit one of the pirate goons carrying the chest, knocking him off balance and prompting the others to lose their footing and fall down as the chest they carried over head was dropped to the ground. Before they could pick it up again, Risky Boots dashed up to them and sliced all three of them in two with her sword.

The captain of the brown sugar pirates decided to turn tail and run down a nearby hallway in the temple, while her rival pursued her on foot and left the treasure chest behind, determined not to let her escape. Unknown to her was that once the two exited the large chamber, another trio of pirate goons hopped on out and began once more carrying the treasure chest over head with Risky Boots being none the wiser.

Captain Syrup jogged fourth, leaving her pursuer in the dust as Risky tried using her trademark boots to perform a speedy dash after her, but even with that she could barely catch up until Syrup seemingly disappeared before her in the following chamber. Meanwhile, the ringing noise itself only got worse, growing louder and louder as Risky Boots got closer to the incoming room. She tried her best to ignore the pain as she clenched her teeth and continued charging forward.

She soon made it to a large dim chamber further in the temple, now finding herself standing on a large stone bridge with what appeared to be a pool of lava far down below. She found not Captain Syrup, but instead some sort of strange human sized alarm clock with hands and feet and large skull on it's face. It just stood in pace, continuously ringing it's bell and creating that irritating sound.

With out hesitation, Risky had flung her blade in it's direction and impaled it, finally putting an end to the noise. She then dashed towards her target, grabbing her sword by the handle before violently gashing it upwards and splitting the clock in two. The two halves of the clock fell back as it's gears and springs spilled all over the ground.

The Queen of the Seven Seas stood in place, taking deep breaths as she stared down at her now fallen enemy. While the air was silent, she could still hear a ringing in her ears which left her slightly disoriented. While Captain Syrup seemed to have gotten away, in the very least that noise was no longer an issue.

As the ringing slowly died down, she heard the sound of foot steps coming from behind her. Not allowing her stalker to get the drop on her, the purple pirate immediately turned around and hoisted her scimitar through their body!

STAB!

Much to her surprise, it wasn't a Captain Syrup or even a pirate goom, but rather a walking fuse-lit bomb with a skull painted on it's body that walked on two feet. She also realized the fuse was still burning away, and before she could react:

The explosion sent Risky Boots over the edge of the stone bridge, now plummeting towards the lava below. Thinking fast, she grabbed her large pirate hat and held it open. Upon being caught in the air it expanded, now acting as a parachute as she slowed down her descent.

Below her was a large glowing pool of magma, but instead of panicking she once more took note of her surroundings. Lucky for her, there was a small stone platform for her to land on, which she made her way towards. She descended on top of it, before wiping the sweat off her brow as the scorching hot air of the lava surrounded her, though it wasn't something she hadn't encountered before.

Risky then jogged in place, before actually dashing forward at top speed! Rather than sink into the lava before her and burn, she was instead running on it's surface! Thanks to her boots, she made her way to the stole pillars that held up the bridge above her, jumping onto one before kicking off and jumping up onto another and then gaining height by jumping up onto another in an impressive display of acrobatics.

In only a matter of seconds she made her way back up and with one final jump she landed back in the middle of the bridge itself. Despite this, she was still in danger, as she found herself surrounded by more Pirate Goons. Hovering above them was a strange black contraption with a large skull face with an gaping open mouth on it. Sitting in the cock pit and piloting it was none other than Captain Syrup herself.

"YOU! Quit hiding behind your crew and come fight me face to face like a real pirate! Let's settle this captain to captain!" Risky Boots exclaimed as she pointed her sword towards her opponent.

"Sorry, but unlike you, I actually detest senseless violence. I much prefer to settle my disputes through other means. Besides, why fight you if I don't have to?"

"Once I knock you out of that rusty tin can of yours, YOU WILL!"

The pirate goons attacked from both sides. Risky Boots threw her sword like a boomerang, taking out the goons on her left while taking out her pistol and shooting down the ones on the fight, taking them down one by one.

The lady pirate in the flying machine dropped what appeared to be another walking skull faced bomb like the one from before. Rather than let it get close, the purple pirate kept it at bay with her pistol, shooting at it and knocking it over on it's back. Before it's fuse burnt out, Risky rushed up to the bomb and kicked it as hard as she could back up at Captain Syrup herself!

Seeing it coming, the captain of the brown sugar pirates swerved to the side, avoiding the bomb before it continued plummeting to the lava below.

BOOM!

Upon exploding, a massive tower of fire rose up, breaking through from under the bridge and nearly incinerating both women, separating them as they got away a safe distance to avoid it.

With her opponent at bay, Syrup then pressed a button on her control pad, making a pirate goon drop down before her. Risky meanwhile took aim with her pistol and began shooting upward at Syrup, but the pellets merely bounced off the metallic exterior of her craft.

"Darling, do you really expect those little things to-" before she could finish, one of the pellets nailed her right between the eyes. While it wasn't lethal, it definitely stung, making her momentarily flinch.

Risky Boots then ran up to the pirate goon that had been dropped before her, hopping off it's head like a makeshift platform and bouncing up into the air. She then came down at break neck speeds, dive bombing like a falcon and coming down full force into Syrup herself, slamming into the mech and actually knocking her out of it!

Her vehicle went plummeting to the lava below, while Risky Boots herself landed back on the ground, across from now vulnerable Captain Syrup.

"I admit, I under estimated you. I thought you were nothing more than a violent brute, but you're actually a rather clever gir-"

"OH, CAN IT!" Risky shouted, pulling out her pistol and aiming it towards her adversary. Captain Syrup stood in place with her hands up in the air, seemingly at the purple pirate's mercy. "Look at you, you're completely unarmed! No gun, no dagger, nothing! You call yourself a pirate? You're nothing more than a glorified cat burglar... but you know what they say: There's more than one way to skin a cat" Risky spat off as she held up her blade in an intimidating manner. However, Captain Syrup merely gave another confident smile, as if she had an ace up her sleeve.

"Ohoho! But you see, that's where your wrong: I do have something!" Syrup chuckled. It appeared that she was standing in front of something, and she was currently in the process of tapping it with her foot.

"Wait, what is that? What are you doing?" Risky asked, but her opponent refused to answer and instead just gave her another smug smile. The purple pirate growled, about to take out one of her rival's eyes with her next shot, only for a large puff of smoke to suddenly appear before her. The environment around them appeared to be changing, with everything became a blur for a few seconds before it all cleared up again.

Risky Boots had found that her and her opponent had changed location, and were now settled on the very top of the ruins themselves! From their high distance, they had a clear view of the rest of the entire island below, including Syrup's ship docked at the beach.

Risky's view of the island was then blocked off by a large figure forming before her, as the smoke cloud formed into a massive round man in wearing a red open vest, hat, and puffy pants that floated up before her. Risky Boots backed away slightly, as the giant man looked down at her with a large scowl on his face.

Captain Syrup stepped to the side, revealing that behind her was a large genie lamp! She had activated it by rubbing it with her foot, summoning this man. This could only mean one thing...

"Allow me to introduce Denpu, my very own genie!" Captain Syrup announced.

"Oh great, ANOTHER genie wearing red that's getting in my way... and this one's not a runt!" Risky thought, but her frustrated expression quickly turned into that of a confident smirk, much like her opponent's. "I don't know how to tell you this, but you're not the only with with a genie, you know..." Risky Boots said, then pulling out a magic lamp of her own.

Captain Syrup's eyes widened, as Risky Boots rubbed the lamp itself.

"HEAR ME, GENIE OF THE LAMP! I COMMAND YOU TO APPEAR!"

With that, a dark red cloud of magic appeared before her, forming into another genie. This was much smaller compared to Denpu, and instead took the form of a human sized girl that looked like a dancer. Like Risky Boots, she wore dark purple clothing and had light purple skin, only she had green eyes and a long red pony tail.

She was the extracted genie half of Risky's rival and nemesis "Shantae", other wise known as Nega-Shantae.

"Oh, she's just adorable!" Captain Syrup said in a slightly condescending manner.

"Don't under estimate her because she's a runt! Go on, show that tub of lard what a REAL genie can do!" Risky Boots commanded. Nega Shantae took off on foot after her target.

"Denpu, be a dear and take care of this problem, will you?" Syrup asked. Denpu nodded and floated towards Nega Shantae, the two meeting in the center of their roof top.

When they got within range of each other, Nega Shantae immediately started things off by doing a belly dance, while the large floating genie before her extended his arms outward and formed small fire balls in his hand. He then dropped them, the fire landing before traveling along the ground itself, which zipped over towards the smaller genie about to burn her feet. She quickly went up in a puff of smoke and transformed into a small monkey, jumping over the incoming flames and leaped up towards Denpu, then performing a mid air dash in his direction with the speed of a bullet.

However, she merely bounced off Denpu's tubby stomach, and landed back on the ground. Denpu held out his hands again and dropped more fire balls onto the ground with propelled themselves into his small transformed opponent, this time hitting and burning her, forcing her to revert to her original form. Both Captains stood across from the fight watching, both of them rather confident in the abilities of their genies.

Nega Shantae began dancing again in place again, while Denpu used his magic to spawn a miniature version of himself which floated above her, ready to throw another fire ball on top of her. In another puff of smoke, the genie girl leapt into the air above the mini-Denpu, now in the form of a mermaid. She spun around like a wheel as she remained suspended in the air briefly, spraying a flurry of large bubbles in multiple directions. Instead of merely popping, these bubbles exploded like bombs upon impact; taking out the mini-Denpu while the rest blew up on the ground below or exploded upon hitting Denpu himself.

Like the tank he was, Denpu was not phased by these explosive projectiles going off, until one in particular landed in the face, causing the tubby genie to stumble back and remain stunned for a few seconds. Nega Shantae landed back on the ground, poofing back into her original form as Risky toot note of what had just happened.

"Alright, looks like we found his weak spot. Just keep aiming for that fat noggin of his and bring him down!" Risky commanded.

Denpu shook his head to regain his composure while Nega Shantae swayed her hips as she danced in place.

The small red haired genie poofed into her next form: An elephant. It charged straight towards Denpu while he formed another pair of fire balls in his hands. He dropped them onto the ground which then pursued the incoming elephant, but before it hit her she abruptly disappeared in another cloud of smoke!

Denpu floated in place dumb founded for a second, before the magical elephant re-appeared above him. She plummeted, coming down hard on his head and smashing his face with her large elephant feet. Denpu found almost being knocked out of the air while the elephant in question reappeared across from him and returned to her original form.

Risky Boots burst into laughter while Denpu rubbed his head, his hat having fallen off revealing a large cartoon-ish bump underneath. Captain Syrup frowned, realizing that Risky's genie was trickier than she thought. What she lacked in size she made up in with her speed and power thanks to her animal forms. She thought back to the battle, recalling just what Nega-Shantae was doing before she transformed. She immediately figured it out, and made sure to let Denpu know.

"Denpu! you have to attack while she's dancing! That's when she's vulnerable!" She instructed. Denpu nodded and retaliated by once again materializing another clone, only to follow it up with several more which spread out and floated all around, giving him more control of the battlefield.

Nega-Shantae ran back into battle, while the small genies above her tossed more fire from above. She ran through them, dodging and jumping over any that came her way with a series of acrobatic flips and jumps. Once she got within range of her opponent, she stood in place and began dancing again to initiate her transformation, but this time Denpu was ready.

The large genie wasted no time and had already chucked another ball of flame on the ground, which then flew towards his smaller target. Before she could finish, she got pelted with fire balls from not just Denpu, but also from his surrounding miniature clones. She went up in smoke not from her magic, but instead from the fire that collided with her.

Despite the damage she had taken, Nega Shantae was still standing, and immediately used her magic to once again transform into her elephant form, charging in before performing another teleportation.

Not wanting to fall for the same trick twice, Denpu propelled himself backwards, narrowly avoiding the incoming Elephant who nearly fell on top of his head. She was then once again pelted with with fiery attacks from different directions upon landing, reverting her back to her previous form.

"HEY RUNT! Don't waste your time on him! Take out the smaller ones first!" Risky called out. Hearing her master, Nega-Shantae danced once more, this time transforming into her mermaid form and once again leaping from a cloud of smoke into the air in her mermaid form. With another mid-air flip came another shower of explosive magical bubbles, all of which that spread in multiple directions and blowing up as they took out the surrounding mini-Denpu's one after another.

But before she could land back on the ground, the mermaid found herself ensnared by the giant hand of her opponent. She was now helpless, her head now sticking out of Denpu's closed fist as he began gripping her as hard as he could, crushing her. The small genie struggled to break free, but it was no use. Denpu's hand then glowed as it materialized another fire ball while it was gripped around his enemy! Nega Shantae burst into flames in his fiery grasp as she yelled out in pain, much to the shock of Risky Boots herself.

Denpu then chucked the small Genie as hard as he could into the stone floor, leaving her to burn away from his flames. Captain Syrup felt victorious, but then she glanced at Risky Boots who was still smiling. If her opponent was anything like her, this meant that she had to be hiding something.

Nega Shantae rose back up and began spinning, blowing off the fire on her body as she began drawing in strange red magic from around her and charging up on energy. Now powered up, Nega Shantae immediately began dancing in place, While Denpu began his counter attack of once again making a bunch of miniature clones to counter.

However, she immediately transformed into her monkey form much quicker than Denpu anticipated, and dashed towards him. The clones retaliated by once more bombing her with fire balls from above, but this time she was moving much faster too! Zipping through the fire balls thrown on top of her, the monkey then leapt up into the air and hopped on the clones one after another before then leaping up to Denpu, dashing into his face like a small living bullet.

She then latched onto his face, savagely clawing and biting before Denpu pried her off, but the small monkey quickly slipped through his grip and jumped off, landing behind him and transforming back to her previous form. Denpu held his face in pain for a moment before turning around, only to see that Nega Shantae swinging her hips once again.

It seemed not only had her speed increased, but her attack power had doubled!

Denpu's clones floated before him in formation, ready to attack and defend him, but their small target transformed sooner than they expected. She poofed back into her mermaid form and leapt into the air, spinning like a wheel as she delivered another barrage of bubble bombs. This time, she remained airborne longer than before, creating more bubble bombs than Denpu and his clones could handle! His miniature selves were all blown apart one by one, while several bubble bombs hit Denpu directly in the face and all exploded one after another.

The large genie was finally knocked out of the air and onto the ground where he laid on his back, shaking the temple roof upon his collapse.

As Denpu tried to regain his composure, his enemy started up another dance, this time turning into her elephant form. She then teleported above him, and with out mercy, came crashing down on his skull!

"DENPU!" Captain Syrup yelled.

But by the time her genie saw it coming, it was too late to react.

SMASH!

The elephant then teleported back into the air and came down again!

SMASH!

and again!

SMASH!

and again!

SMASH!

She came down once more, this last attack much harsher than the last:

SMASH!!!

The impact of her landing caused a small shock wave that crushed Denpu's head, leaving it cartoon-ishly flattened.

Captain Syrup stood in place with her eyes widened, not believing what she had just witnessed.

The rest of Denpu's body deflated like a balloon before he turned back into a puff of smoke and retreated back into the safety of his lamp. Meanwhile, the battle ground around them started to blur and change, as they all found themselves being teleported back into the previous chamber: The stone bridge over the lava pit.

[Music Stop]

Now, Captain Syrup found herself right across from Risky Boots and a powered up genie, and all she had left were her wits. All Risky Boots had to do was give the word, and that dancing genie of hers would tear Syrup apart.

"Ohohoho! Well, how did you like that, Syrup?" Risky said, quite pleased with the result. While Shantae's genie abilities were a huge hinderance to her in the past, she was quite satisfied to finally see them used for her own benefit.

Captain Syrup raised her hands in the air and stood in place, trying to think of another way of escaping. Once more, she smirked with her eyes half closed, ready to work her charms.

"I have to admit, your genie IS impressive! But tell me, can she grant wishes?" Captain Syrup added.

"Well she certainly made my wish of taking down your blimp of a genie, didn't she?" Risky retorted.

"No no, I mean ACTUAL wishes! As in, shower you with all the riches you could ever want? You do seem like the type of girl who would appreciate the finer things in life after all! Don't you like the idea of a genie who could provide you with wealth, power, and all the shiny things?"

Risky Boots was actually intrigued... She signaled for Nega-Shantae to stand down, wanting to hear what her enemy had to say.

"Go on..."

"Well, my dear genie is not exclusively loyal to me, but merely anyone who rubs his lamp. He'd have no problem offering you a wish of your own if you gave his lamp a friendly little pat!" The captain of the brown sugar pirates explained.

"Hold on, my genie absolutely pulverized your genie! And besides, why would you even want to just hand him over to me?" Risky inquired.

"Oh, just because my genie is too tired to fight, it doesn't mean he doesn't have a wish or two in him at the moment. Besides, I know when I'm licked... You beat me fair and square... My genie is now yours" Captain Syrup then, then kicking over the large lamp that housed her genie over to her opponent.

Risky Boots cautiously looked over to Captain Syrup who still had her arms raised in the air, showing that she was indeed unarmed and out of tricks. Whether or not her enemy was being honest, the purple pirate was obviously not going to let her enemy leave alive anyway. Besides, if he attacked, she had Nega Shantae on stand by to put him in his place a second time.

She approached the lamp slowly before finally rubbing it with her palm.

The lamp started shaking, followed by a large puff of smoke coming out which reformed into Denpu himself. He floated above her with his arms crossed and a happy smile on his face. Despite haven't been brutally beaten a mere moment ago, he appeared to be in pretty good shape. Risky Boots stood by with Nega Shantae by her side, just in case he'd would try anything funny.

"Greetings, I am the genie of the lamp-"

"Look, let's skip the small talk and jump straight to the wishes, shall we? And don't try twisting my wish into something ironic or anything stupid like that! Other wise, you'll have to answer to HER again" Risky Boots threatened as she motioned to Nega Shantae, who looked up at Denpu with her eyes still glowing red. A bead of sweat went down Denpu's face upon seeing her a second time.

"Oh no, I would never think of betraying you! I'm an honest and professional genie! So tell me, what is it that you'd like?" Denpu asked.

"Alright tubby, while the idea of a vast fortune is definitely appealing, first I'd just to test your loyalty... I wish you'd banish that master of yours to the deepest darkest depths of the ocean!" Risky Boots said.

"Alright, it shall be done!" Denpu said, as Risky's smirk grew into a large sinister smile. She looked over to Captain Syrup who seemed... strangely content despite the wish that had just been made. Denpu put out his hand and held his palm open, as if he expected Risky Boots to put something there.

"That will be 66,000 gold please!" He said.

There was a dead awkward silence that filled the air as Risky looked at his hand before looking back at genie floating above her, cocking her eye brow.

"... what?" She asked.

"Well if you can't afford that, then how about 10,000 gold for a bird house?" He suggested. With that, Risky Boots became infuriated.

"I DON'T WANT A LOUSY BIRD HOUSE! I HATE BIRDS! WHAT KIND OF GENIE ARE YOU!?!" She shouted.

"Well unlike most genies, I don't limit myself to a mere three wishes and instead grant anyone who rubs my lamp as many wishes as they want! For a small price of course!" Denpu explained.

"Are you kidding me? You call that a small price? But you obeyed HER earlier and didn't ask for a payment! I swear, if you don't make due on that wish, I'll-"

"Well Captain Syrup paid me in advance for protection before hand. Also, sorry, but I don't respond to threats! If you don't have any gold on you, then I'm afraid I can't give you anything." Denpu said, standing his ground as he crossed his arms. He then turned back into a puff of smoke and retreated back into his lamp.

Now Risky Boots was enraged. She then grabbed his large lamp with one hand and dragged it behind her as she made her way to the edge of the lava bridge.

"H-Hey? What are you doing?" The voice from inside the lamp asked. Risky Boots ignored it and continued making her way.

"Wait! I can still give some really nice things! Maybe your own comfy log cabin! Want something bigger? How about your very own castle? Not convinced? Then how about your very own planetoid with your face on it? I'll even give you a discount! 99,998 coins! How's about it?" Denpu negotiated from the confines of his lamp, but Risky Boots already made up her mind.

She then chucked the lamp off of the edge of the bridge, sending it plummeting to the molten lava below. It landed, with Denpu still begging and still trying to negotiate from inside. His voice was soon silenced when the lamp completely enveloped by the lava. The lamp sunk down seep down into the lava below where it and Denpu would never be seen again...

"Worthless cheapskate!" Risky said under her breath "And as for YOU-" she turned back to Syrup's direction, only to see her opponent wasn't standing there anymore!

"Wow, such a lovely lamp! It would be a shame if something happened to it!" Said a familiar voice. Risky Boots looked behind her, only to see the red haired pirate was now standing by the edge of the bridge holding another magic lamp! It looked suspiciously like the one she kept Nega-Shantae in.

Upon checking her pockets, Risky realized that very lamp was missing! It seemed while she was distracted by Denpu, Syrup had snuck behind her and snatched with out her being the wiser!

"What? But when did you..." Risky Boots noticed Captain Syrup dangling the lamp off the side of the bridge as she dangled it from her pinkie finger in a condescending manner. "You wouldn't!" Risky Boots shouted.

"Oh, don't worry, sweetie! I'm not gonna destroy it! I actually have other plans... So tell me, does your genie have a name?" Syrup said, now looking the lamp over before looking back at her enemy in a sly manner.

Risky swallowed nervously, looking over to Nega-Shantae who was now looking right back at her with her eyes glowing in a menacing manner.

"Well, I suppose that doesn't matter anyway... Alright genie, I want you to make sure our little friend here doesn't leave this chamber... I hate to leave you two kids alone, but I have to be on my way now. Play nice!" Captain Syrup said, then bolting for the exit and making her escape.

"NO YOU DON'T!" Risky yelled, about to pursue her.

However, before she could shoot her target, Nega-Shantae had already taken the form of a mermaid, jumping up into the air and sending a barrage of bubble bombs all over the place.

They exploded just over where Syrup had escaped, closing it off with layers of rubble while also destroying a large portion of the bridge right in front of it, preventing Risky Boots from following.

Risky Boots turned to face her new opponent: The magical genie half of her nemesis. Despite the fact that she was miles away from Scuttle Town, Shantae was still some how making problems for her, which made her all the angrier.

As much as she enjoyed the idea of destroying part of her enemy, she still couldn't let Captain Syrup get away with this!

Risky Boots found herself trapped and at the mercy of "Nega-Shantae" who was in her red glowing powered up state. Meanwhile, her new rival "Captain Syrup" was getting away. With the only exit sealed, all she had was the stone bridge under her feat and the boiling lava below. The very genie that served her only mere minutes ago had turned on her master in favor of Captain Syrup who currently held her lamp.

Nega-Shantae had already completed another dance and poofed into her elephant form. She charged into her former master who darted away in the opposite direction. All Risky could see ahead of her was another dead end on the opposite side of the bridge with no windows or openings on the walls themselves. The long chamber was illuminated not from the light of the outside, but from large torches that lined up on the walls along with a glow from the bubbling magma below. Even if there was a chance for escape, Risky had no time to think of an exit strategy: all she could do was keep moving.

The elephant teleported above the pirate and came crashing down in an attempt to crush her under it's weight. The quick pirate used her boots to dash as fast as she could to stay out of the range of the large tusked pachyderm who smashed through the bridge on her way down. Rather than continue to plummet to the lava below, she teleported above Risky again and tried to smash her several more times, leaving the bridge covered in holes while Risky narrowly avoid each attack with her non-stop dashing.

The constant crashing and damage to the bridge lead to large chunks of it breaking off and falling to the lava below, creating another gap between the two. They were now separated by the missing section of the bridge between them, with the red haired genie reverting back to her standard form before she started another transformation dance.

Risky Boots whipped out her pistol and fired off several shots in genies direction hoping to nail her with a few pellets while she was still dancing. However, the genie completed her speedy dance in a mere moment before she leapt up into the air now in mermaid form while the pellets whizzed right below her and bypassed her entirely.

Risky grit her teeth in annoyance, as the mermaid began to spin like a wheel in mid air, conjuring up a flurry of large bubble-like bombs that flew in random directions. Upon landing they went off with one explosion after another while leaving large holes on not only the bridge, but even the walls of the chamber that surrounded them. All the purple pirate could do now was dodge each and every one of them as best as she could.

As the smoke and dust clouds settled settled, Risky took a moment to quickly look around. The bridge she stood on top of felt like it was going to break apart and fall into the lava below, while the chamber itself looked like it was going to cave in and kill them both. Fortunately, it seemed that there was still a chance she could avoid all that.

One of the genie's explosive bubbles had blown open a number of holes in the walls around them. Among these holes was one that revealed a beam of sun light shining through. It no doubt lead outside! This was it! This was her way out!

However, it was still out of reach for her, since she still had to get over a large gap and bypass the lava below to get to it. Having no choice, Risky got a good running start with her quick dash before leaping off the side of the bridge. The rest of the bridge itself finally gave into all the damage it had sustained and it finally collapsed to the lava below while Nega-Shantae appeared to go down with the rest of it.

Large chunks of stone fell from the walls and ceilings, which Risky Boots also narrowly avoided during her escape. While still mid jump, she pulled out her cannon and aimed it below her. She fired it off three times in a row, bypassing the laws of physics by propelling her up slightly with each blast and helping her to gain further distance in the air. Quickly putting it away, she then grabbed her hat and held it open, gliding the rest of the way till she was in range of the opening on the wall.

She managed to grab onto it, now dangling from the hole in the wall before she pulled herself up before crawling through it. She had finally escape!

Now on the outside of the ruins and back in the tropical forest, she took a quick breather before looking back into the hole she had emerged from. A large portion of the bridge had collapsed to the lava below with the rest following and coming down until nothing was left. Nega-Shantae was nowhere to be seen, so it looked like she had plummeted to a molten fiery fate.

"Alright, looks like the runt's better half is gone... Good riddance! Now all I need to do is figure out where I am before-" her words were interrupted by a small red monkey who leapt onto her face and began violently scratching and clawing at it!

The purple pirate violently pried the monster off her face and spiked it onto the ground. She then started viciously stomping on it beneath her boots several times before finally punting it like a foot ball.

Upon landing to the side, the monkey transformed with a puff of smoke, revealing itself to be Nega-Shantae! It seemed the genie had used transformed into her monkey form and used her agility and climbing ability to escape by pursing Risky Boots outside with out her knowing.

"THAT DOES IT!" She exclaimed, Now seeing red, Risky Boots charged like an enraged bull with her scimitar pointed before her. She then plunged her sword into the genie's belly before she could start dancing again.

The genie had ceased swaying her hips for a moment as she looked down to see that her former master had impaled her.

"Oh, I'm gonna enjoy this..." Risky said while sporting a sadistic grin. While the one she had stabbed wasn't exactly the guardian genie of scuttle town, it was still some what satisfying to destroy something that looked like her and was also part of her.

Swinging her blade with all her might, she violently gashing the genie and left her nearly bisected in the process. Risky felt a brief moment satisfaction as she watched her enemy fall onto the ground lifelessly. There was no blood or entrails that poured out from the genie's large wound, but merely smoke; smoke which continued to pour out from her wound as it appeared to be exploding little by little like a series of small fire works going off one after the other.

The genie went up in smoke as the last explosion made her body go off like a bomb, forcing the pirate back and causing her to hit her head against a palm tree. She immediately got back up and dusted herself off. Lucky for her, Nega-Shantae was still pretty damaged after her fight with Denpu, which allowed the pirate to take her down as quickly as she did.

Now that little annoyance was out of the way, Risky Boots now had a moment to scour her current area and figure out where she was on the island. Before she could go looking for her opponent, she decided it was time to bring in the big guns. With no time to rest, she went off to look for her vessel and her crew.

Meanwhile, on another part of the island:

The Brown Sugar Pirates were now getting ready to sail off, as the remaining minions made their way back to the ship while others gathered up all the loot they had acquired and were now bringing them back to the ship little by little. Thanks to the interference of Risky Boots and her Tinkerbats resulted in many casualties and distractions, thus delaying them from shoving off sooner.

Their captain "Maple Syrup" stood on the side lines, giving instructions to stay vigilant for intruders making sure the others stayed organized and carried the loot back to the ship in an efficient manner. So far, everything seemed to be going as planned, and it wouldn't be long until they were ready to leave.

Just then, Captain Syrup heard something in the distance: it sounded like the sound of stomping, as if something big was coming their way. As it got closer, the ground began to lightly shake, actually causing a few of her minions to trip and accidentally drop some treasure on the sandy beach. They scrambled to get back up and retrieve what they had dropped, becoming frantic at what could be approaching.

Could there have been some monster on the island they didn't know about? Unlikely, considering they made sure to check every inch of this island for anything of interest. Perhaps it was a creature that had laid dormant underground and had only now finally awoke? Either way, Captain Syrup signaled for some of her crew members to bring over one of her machinery, just in case. In the very least, she could by her crew some more time.

Finally, a large mechanical beast stepped onto the beach! It looked like... a large pirate ship with mechanical legs and a face? In actuality, it was Risky Boots's modified mechanical ship: The Steam Powered Oceanic Tinkertub. It roared like a beast, causing a bunch of Syrup's pirates to purposely drop some of their loot and scrambled to the ship instead.

"Awwww, what's wrong, Syrup? Leaving so soon? I believe you have something that's mine... in fact, you have a LOT of things you might wanna hand over!" Said a familiar voice. There, laying on the side of the ship in a rather casual manner was Risky Boots!

The large mechanical ship towered over the captain of the brown sugar pirates, but she still stood her ground. She clenched the genie lamp she had stolen from Risky Boots... What happened to the genie though? Had Risky Boots managed to destroy that one too? Syrup shook her head in disappointed... that was now TWO genies she lost in a single day... Despite being intimidated, she immediately recovered her poise.

"Oh my, that's quite a large ship you got there! Did you make it yourself? My my, I guess you're not as much of a brute as I thought you were if you can build something as sophisticated as this! Though it does seem a bit... loud and clunky..." Syrup commented.

"It's still much more powerful than that pathetic excuse for a tin can you paraded in earlier... which by the way, I already trashed... and speaking of which..." Risky Boots looked over to Syrup's ship.

This wasn't good: If Risky destroyed Syrup's ship, it would not only be harder for her to get away, but it would also mean losing all the riches she and her crew had acquired!

Lucky for her, help was on the way. Her large bird crew mate "Bobo" had just flown in carrying a large round robot that looked like a giant robotic pirate goon holding a spiked shield known as a "Mecha Kuri". At the same time a group of pirate goons carried in a black cube-like air craft with skull face painted in the front and a bright antennae sticking out from the side.

With out hesitation, Captain Syrup jumped into the small hover craft and it immediately floated up into the air. She positioned herself right on top of the Mecha Kuri while the rest of her crew mates retreated. She then fired a beam of electricity from the underneath her flying machine, which struck an orb on top of the robot's head. It was now activated by the surge of electricity and began marching in place: Ready for action.

While the Mecha Kuri marched on the ground, Syrup remained airborne in her air craft. Despite these machines at her disposal, they were both still dwarfed by the sheer size of the tinkertub, which caused Risky to burst into laughter.

"Ohohohoho! You're kidding me, right? THAT'S what you're gonna try to take me down with? That pipsqueak?" She laughed.

"Now now, don't you remember what you told me when our genies faced off? Not to underestimate yours because she was a runt? Perhaps you need a refreshing reminder that size doesn't matter..." Syrup said.

The mecha kuri charged forth, ramming it's spiked shield into the robotic legs of the tinkertub. Rather than cause any damage, it merely bounce back every time. It seemed it wasn't strong enough to do any real harm. Risky Boots watched in amusement, looking down at what was a mere wind up toy compared to her tank of a ship.

The Tinkertub merely kicked the smaller mech and sent it flying a few feet back. The cannon mounted on it's deck suddenly fired off several times making a row of explosive cannon balls came crashing down. The mecha kuri dashed fourth keeping it's spiked shield before it as it avoided several incoming cannon balls, only for the last one to fall right on top of it and explode upon impact.

The mecha kuri emerged from the smoke unharmed, still dashing forward as it took off into the air like a rocket thanks to a thruster installed underneath. The Tinkertub struck back by opening it's bow like a mouth and shot out a large retractable anchor on a chain which knocked the robot out of the air and back into the ground.

Surprisingly, The small mech refused to stay down. It resumed dashing forward while the Tinkertub retaliated with another shower of cannon balls. The mecha kuri appeared to be slowing down, only narrowly missing the bomb-like cannon balls that rained down upon it. Unlike last time, these cannon balls were actually small pods that house Tinkerbats inside. Upon exploding, the several Tinkerbats popped out and began to latch onto the mecha kuri and dog pile on top of it, all while hitting it with small hammers in an attempt to dismantle it.

Soon the mecha kuri stopped moving entirely and was now buried under a blanket of Tinkerbats. Captain Syrup meanwhile floated over them in her hover craft. With it, she shot down a beam of electricity that not only electrocuted the Tinkerbats, but also re-energized the her robot! The Mecha Kuri turned a bright heated red and threw the Tinkerbats off it's body with ease, sending them flying in different directions before charging a few of them down with it's shield and splattering them like bugs hitting a windshield.

This little mech was definitely stronger than it looked, especially with Syrup backing it up. Despite this, Risky remained casually lying on the side of her ship and didn't lift a finger. She confident that her Tinkertub was more than a match.

The now heated mecha kuri made it's way to the Tinkertub, which countered by once more opening in the front, revealing an explosive barrel. Before it could launch the barrel and send it rolling to it's small target, the mecha kuri rammed itself shield first into the barrel. This caused it to detonate prematurely and blow up in the Tinkertub's mouth, actually damaging it!

The Tinkertub stumbled backwards before it leapt high up into the air away from the sandy shore. It then landed in the water, now sailing along back and fourth as the cannons aimed at the island. It then opened fire, with cannon balls once again raining down on the mecha kuri. All it could do was scamper back and fourth while shielding itself from the onslaught.

Like before, some of the cannon balls blew open to reveal Tinkerbats, which the mecha kuri managed to make short work of: Either by taking off a few feet into the air before coming back down and crushing them under it's spiked feet, or by simply charging them down with it's shield. However, it wasn't long until after the mecha kuri began to power down a second time and slow down until it was immobile.

Captain Syrup attempted to come to it's aid by flying over to it. Before she could get within range, an explosive cannon ball landed in front of her downed mech. The explosion blew it out of her reach before a second cannon ball followed, this time hitting Syrup's hover craft and causing it to fly back while spinning out of control!

The Tinkertub then leapt from the ocean and back onto the beach, landing right on top of the now dormant and vulnerable Mech which was flipped onto it's side.

The Mecha Kuri was smashed to pieces upon being crushed by the much larger ship, much to the delight of Risky Boots. Upon seeing the pieces of the small mech sticking out from the sand, she burst into laughter one more.

"So much for size doesn't matter!" she cackled.

Meanwhile, it seemed that during their fight, the brown sugar pirates had already made their escape and were starting to set sail. Risky Boots then turned her attention towards Syrup's ship, ready to pursue it or just sink it if she had to!

A beam of electricity struck down on Risky from above, giving her a painful jolt that surged through her body and left her hollering in pain. She rolled onto the deck of her Tinkertub, her clothes now burnt and tattered from her electrocution. Turning her head up, she saw that Captain Syrup was hovering over head, still piloting her small rectangular air craft.

"I do admit, that ship of yours is more impressive than I thought. I'm sure you worked very hard on it! It's really a shame I'll have to destroy it... I can't have it coming after my 'sweet stuff' after all!" Syrup threatened.

"DESTROY MY OCEANIC TINKERTUB? I'd like to see you try!" Risky Boots retorted, now back on her feet.

The Tinkertub took a few steps back as it's large mechanical eyes looked up at Captain Syrup before it roared aggressively. It retaliated by firing off a series of cannon balls into the air, all of which air borne captain maneuvered around via hovering. Finally, the ship opened wide and shot out the large retractable anchor in an attempt to knock her out of the air, only for the small target to sway to the side.

While it was reeling the anchor back into it's maw, Captain Syrup reached down into the cock pit of her small hovering vessel and pulled out what appeared to be a bomb that was about as big as her! It had a skull face painted on it, as well as a lit fuse. She then chucked it into the mouth of the Tinkertub just before it closed, and she immediately began flying away.

"You probably might want to run, Sweetie!" She said as she flew off, waving her fingers in a dainty manner at her rival as she made her escape.

Having seen the bomb be tossed into her Tinkertub, Risky knew there wasn't any time to spare! She immediately jumped off the side of her ship and began running away, dashing with the power of her boots to gain as much distance as possible. Sensing Risky's alarm, a large group of Tinkerbats followed her out, also getting as far away as they could before the bomb went off. Some took to the air to fly away with the aid of metal wings, others dove into the near by water to hide from the explosion, and others just took cover behind what ever they could find along the beach.

The Tinkertub meanwhile tried to cough the bomb back up, but to no avail...

The bomb detonated inside of the Tinkertub, blowing it into flaming piles scrap and ash that went flying all over the island. Even though Risky had gotten a distance away, the force of the blast still caught up with her and sent her flying even further away before she found herself covered in a thick veil of smoke.

After a few moments of silence, Risky Boots finally emerged covered in ashes and coughing from the smoke cloud that was dying down very slowly. She made her way to the beach, only to see there was almost nothing left of her Tinkertub but a large fiery crater, and any pieces she could find were either still covered in flames or were just unrecognizable mangled pieces of scrap junk.

The fire wasn't the only thing that was burning: The sight of all this left Risky Boots completely enraged as she she shook her fist and grit her teeth. She was about to fall on her knees and scream, but she immediately got ahold of herself. She was not going to give up, and she was not going to let Captain Syrup get away!

A few Tinkerbats also emerged from their hiding places and made their way back to the beach to meet their captain, while several winged Tinkerbats landed back down on the ground. While many Tinkerbats had survived, many more had been obliterated by the explosion. All she could do was look over the destruction before turning her sights back to Captain Syrup's ship, which was already too far away for her to get to with out boat of her own.

Looking over to the remaining Tinkerbats and taking count of them, she immediately began thinking of a plan. They just all looked up at her, awaiting further instructions while others looked shaken up or tuckered out after such a shock.

"You two! You're gonna carry me over to Syrup's ship! Anyone else with wings is gonna follow me! The rest of you are gonna have to swim for it! NOW MOVE IT!" She commanded.

Two of her winged Tinkerbats lifted her by the arms and took flight, carrying their captain while being accompanied by two more winged Tinkerbats. It wasn't a lot, but for now they would have to do. The rest pulled out glass bowl helmets and stuck them on their heads. They then scurried over to the ocean, having no choice but to swim as fast as they could if they wished to make it to catch up to both their captain and Syrup's ship.

At this point, treasure was the last thing on the vengeful pirate's mind...

The Brown Sugar Pirates celebrated their victory aboard the large ship known as "The Sweet Stuff". Despite having lost quite a few members to Risky Boots and her Tinkerbats, Syrup's crew mates remained lively and abundant as they gathered on the deck. They opened the treasure chests like presents on Christmas morning before taking a handful of gold and happily throwing it into the air, while a penguin passed out large frothy mugs of beer among their crew mates with many of them already getting happily drunk.

Captain Syrup meanwhile sat down and looked over some of the shiny coins, jewelry, and artifacts, estimating how old they were and just how much they could possibly be worth. While she'd rather her crew start taking count and inspecting their wealth, she figured after all that had happened that maybe they deserved a little break.

The celebrations continued for some time, before the ship itself came to an abrupt halt and was no longer moving. Strange, she hadn't given any orders to drop the anchor, especially not in the middle of nowhere. They hadn't even gotten far away enough from the island. Perhaps one of her crew mates had dropped the anchor by accident due to intoxication? Either way, it was some what alarming.

"What happened? I gave no orders to drop the anchor this early! We're still a long ways from our next destination. I know you boys are having fun, but you can't be so reckless!" She scolded as she shook her head.

The pirate goons, Gaugau's, D.D's, and the other crew mates looked at their captain and then each other, slightly confused. Just who was responsible?

Just then, black orbs fell from above and landed either at their feet or on top of their heads and scattered along the deck. Immediately they noticed the lit fuses on top, revealing that these were bombs.

Before the crew mates could spread out, the explosives had already went off all at once, immediately taking out a bunch of them while others scrambled to get back up and counter attack. Captain Syrup sprang up and looked above the chaos, seeing a bunch of flying Tinkerbats flying above the ship with their mechanical wings and circling around it like vultures. They then pulled out another sent of bombs and drops them all on top of the crew below, further thinning their numbers as more were taken out.

Captain Syrup knew that if these things had gotten this far, then Risky Boots herself may not be far behind... she might even already be aboard the ship! She gave instructions to several close by Pirate Goons to ready something for her on a different section of the ship, which Captain Syrup herself retreated to get something of her own, leaving the rest of her crew makes behind to fight.

The wizards shot blasts of magic, the Guragura's tossed up spiked balls, the D.D's threw boomerangs, the Gaugau's threw knives and glass bottles, and the pirate goons chucked spears. Most of their projectiles could barely reach due to the Tinkerbats being out of their range, while others were merely dodged, before more were blown away by more explosives going off in their faces.

Several Pelicans took into the air to counter these air borne threats, but the tinker bats dive bombed the incoming avian pirates and hit them hard enough to send them back down. It seemed they had the upper hand, before they found themselves being blown back by a powerful wind. It turned out they were coming from Bobo: Syrup's very own giant bird crew mate who generated such wings by flapping his powerful wings.

While the Tinkerbats were disoriented, Bobo spat up several smaller birds known as "watches" from his mouth. They flew towards the Tinker Bats to attack, but then they were immediately all abruptly shot out of the air one by one by large round pellets. The pellets also hit Bobo on the back his head, annoying the large bird opposed to doing any real damage. He turned around to the source of the shots, only to be met with another pellet hitting him right between the eyes, further angering him.

There she was: Risky Boots, hanging from one of the ropes rigged around the sales. The now enraged avian flew down towards her, attempting to swipe at the pirate captain with his large talons. The athletic pirate evaded with a high vertical back flip right over his head while he claws merely tore through the ropes instead of his original target.

She then latched onto his back when she came back down, and the large bird began struggling to shake her off while flying back into the air. No matter how high he flew or how violently he jerked his entire body, Risky refused to let herself be thrown off!

Before Bobo could cough up some watches to assist him in his time of need, he felt a sharp pain in his back that caused him come descend in an erratic rate like an air plane about to come down for a crash landing. Falling down into the ship and the brown sugar pirates desperately trying to get out of his way, Risky Boots leapt off his back before he crashed head first into one of the spars of the ship.

Bobo was no longer moving, and protruding from his back was Risky's sword. Risky Boots walked up to him and pulled the sword out of his back, before turning around to see what remained of captain Syrup's pirates. While many were trying to put out the fire caused by the bombs the Tinkerbats had dropped, others grouped up ready to charge down Risky herself!

Rather than waste her time with such fodder, Risky took a look around and noticed the spar that Bobo had crashed into and noticed it was cracked and damaged. The purple pirate grinned before pulling out her scimitar, and with one powerful slash, she sliced straight through the spar! She then quickly got behind it, and with a powerful kick it the entire mast ended up falling onto the incoming group of enemies.

Most of them found themselves either crushed underneath the wooden pillar, or being smothered and held down by the large sales or all the rope connected to it.

"ALRIGHT SYRUP, ENOUGH HIDING BEHIND YOUR LACKEYS! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME, AND THERE'S NOWHERE FOR YOU TO RUN! IF YOU DON'T COME OUT AND FACE ME CAPTAIN TO CAPTAIN, I'M FIND YOU MYSELF AND SKIN YOU ALIVE WHEN I DO!" Risky yelled, calling out her nemesis for one final show down. Risky Boots panted, she was actually starting to tire out from this long tedious battle.

"Aaawww... what's the matter, Risky? Did you miss me so much that you came all this way just to see me again so soon? I'm touched... Don't worry, I'm here... I'm not the type of lady to keep my guests waiting!" Said a familiar voice.

Captain Syrup descended from above, now piloting a third air craft that looked like a large flying tea cup with a glass dome on top of it. One top of said dome were a pair of antennae that had a visible stream of electricity running between them. Like all her previous mechs, it sported a skull face in the very front, while Syrup herself piloted it from the inside with levers and buttons.

"OHOHOHOHOHOHO! A giant tea cup? REALLY? After all of this, that's the best you save for LAST? You make this WAY too easy..." Risky taunted. At first she was disappointed that once again her opponent was hiding behind another one of her inventions instead of fighting her face to face, but she couldn't help but be amused with just how silly this final weapon of hers looked.

"Easy? Darling, please... I can see from here that you're starting to run out of steam. It's amazing that you've come this far, but I know how to deal with more persistent individuals like yourself... I always have a backup plan, and unlike you I've yet to even break a sweat this entire fight."

"Me? Running out of steam? Trust me, I'm just getting started! And besides, of course you wouldn't be tired, you just keep having someone or something fight for you instead of actually getting down and dirty REAL pirate! I may have my Tinkerbats and my artillery, but unlike you, I'm not helpless without them! But the second I tear you out of THAT... you'll be at my mercy!"

"... Well, I can't lie... I admit, without my crew and my machines, I probably wouldn't last very long in a fight. I've never been much for combat, which is why I prefer to act behind the scenes. I mean, why fight some one to get what I want if I don't have to? But I guess now, I have no choice... Sorry, but after all this, I refuse to leave empty handed."

"That makes two of us, and the second I shatter that tea cup of yours, I'm taking your head as a trophy!"

"Careful, Sweety... This tea cup is still boiling hot!" Captain Syrup then pressed a button, and a stream of flames shot from beneath her air craft.

Risky Boots looked up at her opponent's hovering mech. This was the end of the line for both of them: No crew mates to back them up, no genies or robots to fight on their behalf, and nowhere for either of them to run.

It was time to finally end this.

Captain Syrup descended down upon Risky Boots as a large stream of flames flared from underneath the tea cup like a flame thrower. Risky Boots immediately began running away while Syrup gave chase. As she kept blasting the flames, the wooden deck of the ship became charred leaving long blackened lines along it.

The violet pirate hopped onto one of the barrels and hopped off into the air, pulling out her sword and ready to strike the tea cup's glass dome from above. However, her blade was caught between a small electric field on top of it, violently electrocuting her before she was blown away. She dropped her sword as she flew back, leaving it stuck between the wooden planks.

While Risky was down, Maple Syrup hovered her tea cup right above the sword itself and blasted it with flames, though despite her efforts it remained in tact instead of melting or being burnt to ashes. When Risky herself regained her composure, she saw her enemy coming towards her. In a daring maneuver, the queen of the seven seas dashed towards her, and right before her opponent let loose another blast of flames she slid right underneath, narrowly avoiding getting singed before she was reunited with her sword.

Upon grabbing her sword by the handle, she found herself yelling in pain before pulling her hand back: It was burned. Seems Syrup took the liberty of heating Risky's sword making it difficult to grasp with out feeling pain.

"What's the matter? Too hot to handle?" Syrup quipped.

"YOU..." Risky didn't know what angered her more: Getting burned, or that terrible one liner. Either way, she pulled out her pistol and opened fire, with one pellet after another hitting the glass dome. Though not being too potent, they merely bounced off.

"Really? That little pea shooter again? Oh come now, you don't really think that's going to help you now, do you?" Syrup said. Risky Boots didn't pay attention, and she just kept firing one large round black pellet after another in a fit of rage. Syrup flew in closer, ready to give her enraged enemy a face full of fire when she was close enough.

Out of nowhere, several Tinkerbats jumped onto the sides of the glass shaped dome, clinging to it and completely blocking off Syrup's view. Seems Risky's little trigger happy fit was nothing more than a distraction so these little guys could get the jump on her! Unable to see where she was going, Syrup tried shaking them off, but it was no use.

The Tinkerbats then took out what appeared to be small hammers and began smashing them against the glass, already cracking it. Maple Syrup was actually starting to worry as she nervously bit down on her finger, trying to think of a way out of this.

Next thing she knew, the glass dome had fell to pieces while the Tinkerbats finally fell off. While she could see again, with out the glass or electric field on top of it, she was now exposed and vulnerable. Worst of all, it looked like her enemy had gotten away.

There was no time to look for her though, since the small group of Tinkerbats immediately began flying right back up after her. Pressing another button, she summoned a strange green spiked explosive with a skull face painted on it which hovered in the air briefly before it was launched over to the Risky's flying minions:

It detonated, successfully taking out two of the four Tinkerbats by blowing them to ashes. Two more were still flying towards her, so all she could do was maneuver around them and try to take them out as soon as possible. While she steered her ship out to avoid them dive bombing from above, she knew that chances are this was just another distraction so that their captain could ambush her.

She decided to ascend to greater heights in her hover craft, doing so in order to not only avoid the tinker bats, but also to better scout her ship from above in hopes she'd not only be able to spot her opponent, but stay out of her range as well. Summoning another spiked explosive, it homed in on one of the tinker bats who desperately tried to out fly it.

It was blown out of the air. Good, three down, one to go. The last one latched onto the bottom of her flying machine and tried to dismantle it to make it fall out of the air. Syrup however wasn't about to let that happen, and with the flick of a switch a large burst of flames erupted from underneath, incinerating the little gremlin before it could do any real damage.

They were all gone now, so now she could get back to searching for her original target. She continued looking down at the ship from above. While the sight of all the damage that had been done to it bothered her, she ignored it to prioritize Risky's whereabouts. Perhaps Risky Boots decided to run inside the ship and go after her treasure? Maybe she was still somewhere in the deck such as in a barrel and was going to ambush her the moment Maple descended?

Captain Syrup readied another spiked bomb which floated by her side as she continued scoping out the area. Maybe Risky Boots decided to jump over board and retreat? No... she knew better: Some one like her would not come this far just to give up. Upon further inspection, she noticed that the sword she had over heated was now missing: Either it was cooled off or Risky found some other way to handle it with out getting burned.

She saw some one from the corner of her eye and immediately turned her vehicle towards their direction, only to see one of her surviving crew members was emerging from underneath one of the falling sales: It was a hooded wizard, still clinging to their magic trident-like rod. They dusted themselves off before looking up at their captain, and then turning their attention towards something else. They then used their rod to point something out to Syrup, warning her about something.

Captain Syrup turned around a second time to get a gander at what the wizard was pointing at. She saw what appeared to be something sticking out from behind what remained of the broken spar from earlier... It was Risky's large pirate hat! Syrup cautiously descended trying not to get too close, readying the floating spiked bomb on her side. Seemed like a very amateur mistake: Allowing one's self to be exposed like that.

It was obvious this was nothing more than a decoy: Most likely the hat was placed on top of something and purposely positioned that way. She decided to play her rival's game and kept slowly approaching. Her wizard minion then tossed the rod and pulled out a sword. They then leapt into the air, ready to come down on Syrup and strike her down from behind!

Too bad that while she was still in the air, Syrup fired off the spiked bomb at her attacker from behind which detonated right in their face:

The wizard's robe flew off her body as she plummeted back down onto the desk, revealing that she was none other than Risky Boots! She got back up, but she stumbled to stand while her clothes were in burnt tatters while her long violet hair was now unraveled and exposed. Looks like her plan for a sneak attack had failed.

"Nice try, Bootsy... but I know a thing or two about the art of misdirection. I do applaud your efforts: You are certainly much more clever than I thought you were!" She said, summoning another bomb. Risky Boots took heavy breaths and clenched her shoulder, looking tired and hurt. It looked like she was now at her opponent's mercy.

"Any last words, Sweetie?" Syrup asked.

"Yeah... TEA TIME'S OVER!" She exclaimed, much to Syrup's surprise. Just then chucked her scimitar at Captain Syrup at the last moment, but the airborne pirate simply hovered to the side to avoid it and immediately returned fire by letting loose the homing bomb. Risky tried to run away, but the explosive pursued her.

Taking out her pistol, she took aim while running and fired off another pellet, successfully knocking the bomb out of the air and rendering it dormant as it landed on the ground. She then turned around and ran back towards the bomb, getting a good running start before she kicked it like a soccer ball right back at Syrup herself!

No problem, nothing the captain of the brown sugar pirates wouldn't navigate around. Unfortunately for her, she over looked something:

Risky's sword had come around like a boomerang, cutting Captain Syrup's shoulder and making her flinch! She was left with a bleeding stinging cut on her arm, but it was nothing more than a scratch: Nothing she couldn't walk off. However, that moment of distraction was all it took for her to not swerve her air craft out of the way in time.

The spiked bomb exploded when it made contact, heavily damaging her tea cup shaped air craft and making her accidentally descend. Before she could bring her ship back up, Risky Boots rushed on over, catching her boomerang-like blade before she went in for the kill. However, Syrup managed to make her ship ascend again, avoiding Risky's attack from hitting her or her air craft.

"I admit, I have to stop under estimating you... But I can tell just by looking at you that you've run out of tricks." Syrup said. Her air craft was smoking, but it was still functional enough to continue the fight. Pressing a button, another green spiked bomb floated to her side and hovered next to her.

Risky Boots looked tired, but she remained standing with her scimitar clenched firmly in one hand and her pistol in the other. Both women looked at each other, actually smiling. It looked like the two both knew something that the other didn't, almost as if they both had back up plans ready. They didn't know what the other had planned, but it wasn't like they had time to figure that out anyway.

About to send the bomb flying Risky's way, Syrup noticed something peculiar about the bomb itself.

It looked like it had been struck by a harpoon... and it looked as if it were going to detonate prematurely.

Uh-oh...

The explosion blew Syrup knocked her out of her air craft, making her go flying until she hit side of her ship, having nearly gone over board in the process. The air craft itself was now in pieces on deck and now a smoking mess of scraps. Upon opening her eyes, Syrup saw she was surrounded by tinkerbats: All of which were wearing fishbowl helmets and wielding harpoon guns. One of them was reloading, indicating he was the one who sniped her bomb and detonated it prematurely.

It seemed the rest Risky's minions had managed to make their way to the ship via swimming and climbed aboard. Risky Boots stood before all of them, once again pointing her scimitar forward as she had her cornered. At this point, Syrup had nowhere to run other than jumping over board, and for all she knew there were more Tinkerbats waiting for her in the ocean below.

"Well well well... Looks like you've run out of machines, run out of help, and run out of places to go... and meanwhile, the only thing I've run out of is patience with how pointlessly long this has all dragged out!" The Queen of the seven seas exclaimed.

"I have to say, I'm disappointed... not at things going like this, but in you. Here you went on about how you're not helpless even with out your crew mates, but here you are relying on them to save you at the last moment..."

"Oh that's rich! Heck, that's actually hilarious coming from you! Just because I'm not afraid to fight face to face, it doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to go in with out a back up plan!" Risky exclaimed before she burst into laughter.

Captain Syrup looked over the edge of her ship from the corner of her eye, and she spotted something of interest: It seems one of her pirate goons was signalling her, hanging on the edge with what appeared to be yet another contraption. Syrup decided now was her chance... even if she couldn't defeat her opponent, she could still escape!

While her enemy cackled, Syrup jumped back and went overboard! By the time Risky was done laughing, she had just only now realized her opponent was gone!

"WHAT?" She exclaimed, then leaning off the rails of the edge to see where she went.

There was Syrup, climbing inside inside of what looked like the top half of a submarine that had surfaced. Seems before their last battle, Syrup had instructed three of her pirate gooms to ready her submarine for escape just in case things didn't work out with her mech.

"Bon Voyage! You can have this old vessel if you want, Bootsy... I got plenty more at home. But I'm keeping the valuables!" Syrup said, blowing a kiss at her enemy before sealing the hatch. The Submarine then dove into the ocean below, with the treasure now stocked inside of it.

"NO!" Risky yelled, before looking back at her Tinkerbats. "WHAT ARE YOU ALL JUST STANDING THERE? DON'T LET HER ESCAPE!" She ordered. The Tinkerbats immediately jumped overboard themselves and dove after the submarine, giving chase.

While the submarine left the sweet stuff behind, Syrup and her goons saw that the remaining tinkerbats were already in pursuit. No matter, Syrup still had some remaining back up herself!

A small group of pirate seals known as "Goboten" came to her aid, swimming around the submarine and blocking off the Tinkerbats. Armed with harpoon guns of their own, they fired them while the Tinkerbats fired back. While some Tinkerbats fought back, others continued to maneuver around the harpoons and attempt to catch up to the Submarine, not wanting it to get too far.

Tinkerbats and Goboten alike found themselves being impaled by harpoons as they were taken down one by one. They attempted to maneuver around the incoming under water projectiles coming from the opposing teams, with a few Tinkerbats succeeding in slipping through an opening. The small group of Tinkerbats latched onto the submarine, climbing around it while others continued chasing it from behind.

The seals took aim at the Tinkerbats who had gotten away, but some found themselves skewered before they could pull the trigger. The few that lived long enough to fire either missed or only managed to take out one or two. Two of the remaining Tinkerbats fired their harpoon guns at the submarine from behind with most of their spears merely bouncing off it's thick metal exterior. However, some of spears found themselves getting embedded into the rudder behind it, preventing the blades from spinning and keeping the submarine itself from going any further.

Meanwhile, inside of the submarine, Captain Syrup sat along side her three faithful pirate goons as they all tried their best to get the submarine working again and resume escaping. Trying her best to stay calm, Syrup pondered as she looked over the control panel while another one of her pirate goons looked through the periscope to see if they could figure out what exactly was going on.

Tugging Syrup by her pant leg, the crew mate urged Syrup to have a look through the periscope as well. When she did, she saw that right on top of the hatch were the Tinkerbats... and living up to their name: They were tinkering. Pulling out some tools, they were working on opening the hatch itself by slowly disassembling it. Noticing the hatch was now starting to leak, Syrup instructed her pirate goons to pull it down from the other side to keep it from opening.

It would be a few minutes before they could force it open, which gave Syrup a few more moments to think. The problem was that she couldn't think of anything. She looked out the window and saw that her goboten were falling fast. For every Tinkerbat they managed to shoot down, the Tinkerbats shot down two more before helping to disassemble the sub.

She dashed to the control panel, trying to increase all the power of the rudder so it could hopefully destroy what ever was stuck inside of it and resume spinning. The rudders increased in strength, slowly breaking the harpoons between the blades. After half a minute had gone by, the blades spun began spinning with enough force to not only smash the harpoons, but also suck up and grind up any Tinkerbats who were trying to dismember it like a blender.

Unfortunately it was too late: The hatch was finally opened as tons of water began pouring in and completely filling the sub. The pressure sucked in the Tinkerbats themselves who were helpless against it's pull, while Syrup and her pirate goons themselves were soon completely submerged. The submarine not only flooded, but it was sinking fast.

Having no choice, Syrup began swimming out with her pirate goons following. They swam up through broken hatch and made their way up to the surface and leaving her submarine and all the treasures stored inside to sink into the watery depths below.

However, one of her pirate goons found itself being impaled by a spear, much to her dismay. There were still Tinkerbats bats left over! While it was only a handful, they were still armed with guns while Syrup and her goons had nothing. Syrup looked upward and noticed what looked like either a small life boat or some sort of drift wood. Even if it wasn't much, for now she didn't have much of a choice.

Her swimming accelerated as she made her way upward, her two remaining pirate goons acting as last minute meat shields as they themselves were skewered one after another. Narrowly avoiding some more incoming harpoons, Syrup finally surfaced and gasped for air.

With out thinking, she climbed aboard the life boat, taking a few deep breaths. Before she could think of another method of escape...

A familiar cannon was being pointed into her face. It was Risky Boots, who was also aboard this life boat. She sported a rather sadistic smile on her face while panting like a mad woman ready to snap. This time, she wasn't going to let Syrup escape! Syrup stumbled back, now seated at the edge of the small vessel. She knew that there were still armed Tinkerbats waiting for her below, and she there was nowhere else for her to run on such a dinky little boat.

She was trapped... all she could do now was hope she could talk her way out of this one.

"Now Sweetie, let's not do something we'll regret!"

"Oh believe me, regret is the LAST thing I'll be feeling after I'm done with you!"

"You may think that now, but what if I told you I knew the location of other lost islands like the one where we met? That it was just one of several islands said to be filled with valuables from ancient artifacts worth a fortune to entire troves filled with riches, and even legendary relics that could grant great power?"

"You really think I'm gonna fall for that? After EVERYTHING you put me through?"

"Look, darling... You've destroyed all my inventions, you've sunk my ship, all my crew mates are gone, and I am completely unarmed... What threat am I to you? Now that I don't have anything, I couldn't possibly pursue any of those on my own! But if we work together, they could all be yours! And even if you don't believe me, there's a rather high bounty for my capture that won't be worth anything if I'm dead. So taking all that into consideration, wouldn't you say I'm worth more alive?"

Risky Boots withdrew her canon, before extending her hand to actually help her enemy up. Syrup gave a sigh of relief... good, she brought herself some more time. If there was one thing she knew, it was how to manipulate greedy fools like this... who knows, maybe Risky would be of use to her in the future, and when she'd least expect it she'd take everything from under her nose just like she did another infamous treasure hunter.

Syrup's eyes widened... while Risky had helped Syrup up with one hand, she used the other to drive her sword straight through Syrup's torso.

Syrup was speechless from both the shock, and the pain, while Risky then put her lips near Syrup's ear:

"Let's make ONE THING clear... NO ONE CROSSES ME AND GETS AWAY WITH OUT LOSING SOMETHING..."

She then ripped her sword out of Syrup's body, who fell onto her knees biting her lower lip as she tried to keep from screaming. Not wanting to bleed to death, she tried negotiating one last time.

"Wait... you can't don't do this... Do you realize what the fortune you'll never have if you do?"

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT TRASH! If those islands you mentioned exist, I'll find them myself! I don't need some has-been's help! And as for that bounty of yours? NO AMOUNT OF MONEY IS GONNA SATISFY ME MORE THAN THIS!" Risky roared as she pulled out her cannon and aimed it right in front of Captain Syrup's face.

Syrup's eyes widened in fear as she tried to back away, but she had nowhere to go.

"WAIT! NO-"

The last thing Captain Syrup saw was a flash of white as Risky Boots shot her head clean off at point blank range. Her headless body stood on it's knees for a second or two more before it limped to the side. While it dangled lifelessly on the edge of the life boat, Risky shoved the headless bleeding body off into the ocean with her foot, and the corpse just floated lifelessly before being pulled away by the current and sinking.

The queen of the seven seas then slouched back down and took a deep relaxed sigh. She actually felt rather relieved, as if she had just removed a painful thorn from her side. However, such a feeling was brief as her smile immediately turned into a frown. During this fight she had lost her ship, a majority of her Tinkerbats, and now the treasure she was fighting for was at the bottom of the ocean.

While she was happy that her enemy had been vanquished, there was no time to celebrate.

With Syrup's ship's deck now on fire, her submarine having sank with the treasure still inside, plus Risky's own Tinkertub still being in pieces back on the island, it was time to start salvaging and rebuilding.

Risky Boots looked over to her Tinker Bats who's heads were poking out of the water and surrounding her life boat, awaiting instructions as they stared blankly at her.

"Well? What are you waiting for? GET TO WORK!" She shouted.

It would be awhile before she was ready to set sail once again.

Antasma: HOLY CRAP!  That was a long one... And wow, that last part was... actually kind of brutal... guess making some one walk the plank isn't my wife's style, huh?

Spooky: Despite Captain Syrup not being much of a fighter, she was definitely more than capable of giving Risky Boots a run for her money. She had a larger variety of crew mates and vehicles to aid her. Add to the fact that her manipulative nature, stealth, her tendency to avoid direct physical confrontations, and her cartoony durability allowed her to last as long as she did.

Antasma: But that still wasn't enough to assure her victory. To understand why, let's compare everything they had to offer:

Crew:

Antasma: When it came to their crews, the tinkerbats clearly had the upper hand. While they may have been weaker individually and weren't as varied as the rest of Syrup's crew, they made up for it with sheer number, weapons, and versatility. Not to mention that since they act as an extension of Risky Boot's will and behave like a hive mind, that gave them the edge in team work. While Captain Syrup did have two crew mates that were too strong for the Tinkerbats themselves to handle, they were nothing Risky couldn't handle herself.

Spooky: And while it is possible for Risky's tinkerbats to be turned against her, that can only be done with dark magic: Not only would Captain Syrup not know about this weakness, but she had no way to exploit it since she lacks the ability to use dark magic all together.

Genies:

Antasma: Nega-Shantae was a much better combatant than Denpu due to having more offensive abilities and also being quick enough to avoid most of his attacks and continuously assault his weak spot.

Spooky: Now one would argue that Denpu is technically more powerful than Nega-Shantae due to his power to create large structures like castles and entire PLANETOIDS, which are synonymous with dwarf planets such as Pluto. While that's till technically smaller than our moon, it's more than possible for Denpu to take down Nega-Shantae if he was able to pummel her with that kind of force! Buuuuuut...

Antasma: First of all, Denpu only displays such feats of creation after he's payed in gold in exchange for a wish. Second, Denpu's planetoid creation feat isn't as impressive as you might think, considering that the planetoid he created for Wario was not that much bigger than Wario himself.

Spooky: Won't lie though, having a little planet in the sky with your face on it WOULD be kind of nifty. Even if Denpu went all out and destroyed Nega-Shantae, Risky Boots could still technically seal him up in her own magic lamp, since killing Nega-Shantae would leave the lamp vacant for another Genie to be enslaved. Since the lamp was made for the sole purpose of enslaving genies, chances are Denpu would be powerless to resist. Heck, Risky Boots could even take down Denpu with the tinker tub or just do it herself if she had to!

Machinery:

Antasma: While Syrup's air crafts were formidable due to their ability to attack from above and she had three of them to choose from, they all pailed in comparison to the Oceanic Tinker Tub which was more powerful and more versatile than all of them combined. On top of that, it was more than possible for Risky Boots to take down Syrup's air crafts by herself with out the aid of her tinker tub. Not to mention some of vehicles such as her get away car or submarine don't have any real combat capabilities.

Spooky: Not helping is the fact that Risky's Tinkerbats are not only good at building things, but due to their mechanical expertise they can also more than likely take machines apart, meaning it was possible they could dismantle some of Syrup's mechs and vehicles if given the chance.

Weapons:

Antasma: When it came to weapons, Risky's arsenal was larger and helped her counter everything Captain Syrup could throw at her... with the exception of Syrup's giant bomb. While it has technically more destructive than anything Risky Boots had and was powerful enough to destroy the Tinkertub, that's pretty much all she had.  Not only was it dangerous to her as well since she could be caught in the explosion if she's not careful, but once she used it, it was gone. She had no other weapons to defend herself with, which is weird considering you'd think she'd at least have a sword or something... while Risky has no real limit for the amount of times she can use her pirate gear.

The Captains:

Spooky: Finally comes Risky Boots and Captain Syrup themselves! Physically, it's a little more difficult to compare their abilities. In terms of strength, Syrup is strong enough to lift and throw a bomb as big as herself, while Risky Boots can pull out and hold up a cannon that's also her size. Speed? Captain Syrup can out run the likes of Wario on foot even when he's charging, meanwhile Risky's boots allow her to dash quick enough to make after images.

Antasma: Durability? That's also a tough one: my wife has taken beatings from Shantae who's hair whips are strong enough to take down large monsters and break through steel, yet Captain Syrup can get back up after receiving beatings from Wario who's shoulder tackle can break stone walls with ease. They can both walk away after being caught in up in explosions, and while Risky Boots was able to walk away after being tortured by the pirate master who is said to be island level, Captain Syrup survived being blown up with enough force to be sent flying over a city "Team Rocket" style.

Spooky: So in terms of their physicality, it's debatable... but when it comes to fighting ability? Risky Boots obviously takes this. She could easily mow down most of Syrup's crew mates and as we stated before: Was strong enough to take on her air crafts with out need of her Tinkertub. Captain Syrup meanwhile is completely defenseless outside of her hover crafts and has no way of fighting back, meaning all she has to rely on in the end is her wit.

Antasma: Speaking of wit; as for intelligence? They're also pretty even. Both are cunning, manipulative, deceptive, are good at stealing, are skilled with machinery, and know how to make escapes. Captain Syrup's main advantage is that she's sneakier and often uses her brains opposed to brute force to get the job done. Risky meanwhile is nowhere near as subtle and often makes it a spectacle when ever she steals something due to her desire to be well known.

Spooky: Basically Captain Syrup prefers to work behind closed doors to assure she goes unseen, while Risky Boots will blow the place up and make sure everyone knows she's there. This might make it seem like Syrup is the smarter of the two, but Risky can change her approach to something similar if she has to and be just as subtle if it means victory. Just because Risky's more hot headed, it doesn't mean she's a brain dead brute by comparison.

Antasma: Even if Syrup could trick Risky Boots once or twice, it wouldn't be long until Risky caught on and stopped falling for it, meaning that Syrup's last option would be to bail... But despite all of Syrup's possible means of escape, all that would do is prolong the inevitable.

Spooky: Risky Boots is not only incredibly persistent, she still thinks on a similar wavelength to Captain Syrup herself. This means that even if Syrup tried to get away, Risky could figure out how to cut her off or even catch her. Yes, Risky Boots is prone to rage and is more vicious and sadistic, but that still doesn't seem to hinder her thinking in battle... If anything it just makes her more dangerous!

Antasma: Captain Syrup may have been able to keep her cool during most of the fight, but in the end she still lost her head.

Spooky: The Winner is Risky Boots!

Antasma: And you know what THAT means!

Risky: Antasma, sweetie, I'm waiting!~

Spooky: Next time...SSS Journal 59!

Viger: Antasma will see you all next time, and as always, toodles!
