Jack: Greed. One of the most terrible of the Seven Deadly Sins. And when it came to greedy conquerors, these two are the most terrible of them all.

Emma: He's Jack Andros and I'm his girlfriend Emma Nemetrix.

Jack: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win..... a DEATH BATTLE.

Jack: In a distant realm known as the Negative Zone, everything was run by a mysterious substance known as dark matter. This was required for all of the civilians to survive, and so they began to flourish due to the abundance of dark matter.

Emma: The main race of icky creatures, the Tyannans, seeded spores on distant planets to keep themselves alive. To do this, they built big-ass factories that destroyed the environment faster than our modern day stuff.

Jack: One day on a sporing mission, the Tyannans' main ship crashed onto the distant planet of Arthros when it got annihilated by a massive meteor. The dying species decided to spore the area to keep their legacy running. Many, many years later, one of the spores evolved into a beast.

Emma: Digging throughout the wreckage of the ship, this disgusting creature found a helmet loaded with all of the information on the aliens' tech, and donned the name, Annihilus.

Emma: Annihilus is capable of flying with his two wings, which are near indestructible and can fly way faster than light. He has a natural force field, which is capable of blocking attacks from afar. He's got Life Absorption, which makes him capable of sucking the life out of somebody!

Jack: He is capable of directly using dark matter to manipulate regular matter and is capable of being reborn no matter many time he's been killed. But he wouldn't be without his most deadly weapon: the Cosmic Control Rod. He's capable of manipulating all forms of energy, shooting fire and ice, summon portals, augment his powers, fear broadcasting and many more.

Emma: One handy trick his little rod has is the Symbol of Authority. This allows the Cosmic Control Rod to travel back to his neck whenever it snaps off, kinda like Thor's Mjolnir!

He has mind-controlled Vision despite having infinite knowledge and has overpowered multiple members of the Avengers, including the Incredible Hulk.

Emma: The same Hulk capable of matching universe busters like of Sentry and Thor. Speaking of which, Annihilus has matched Thor in the past and killed Quasar, a being capable of shattering stars with his Quantum Bands.

Popup: While the fight took place much earlier in Thor's life, meaning he's not as powerful before than he is today, he's very much capable of handling Thor in the present.

Jack: Thor has thrown Mjolnir across the universe and back in under a minute and then flew across it himself in mere seconds, clocking his speed at 2 quintillion times FTL.

Emma: He's also overpowered The Thing, who has shrugged of a blast from Galactus' planet shattering Power Cosmic and broke Invisible Girl's forcefields. And Annihilus himself is tough enough to endure a blast from the Power Cosmic-which was powerful enough to destroy 3 solar systems.

Weaknesses

Annihilus is extremely paranoid and believes that essentially everyone is out to steal the Cosmic Control Rod from him

On rare occasions, he has let the Rod from his sight, and it has fallen into someone else's hands (Losing the Rod has sent him into a near panic)

In addition, Thanos revealed that Annihilus is an unskilled tactician, as he is always thinking that the usage of an "overwhelming force" could solve all of his problems

Emma: Of course, Annihilus is far from perfect. He has become over reliant on the Cosmic Control Rod that he freaks out if he loses it. It's also Annihilus' bread and butter, so separating or outright destroying it removes many of his powers.

Jack: And we can't forgot he almost prioritizes brute strength over strategy and has been defeated by both the Fantastic Four and Avengers on multiple occasions. Yet, even though defeated many times in the past, Annihilus' legacy of death, destruction, and despair is certain to leave his foes one way: Annihilated.

Jack: The vast cosmos, although most of it undiscovered, would require a type of law and order if ever colonized. Luckily, the Immortal Guardians of the Universe tapped their infinite power into blessing certain individuals with immense power to do good or wreak havoc.

Emma: That's where the Lantern Corps started! You know them- Hal Jordan, Thaal Sinestro, Star Sapphire, and even motherfucking Leezle Pon for crying out loud!

Jack: These corps ran on many emotions: Will, Hope, Mercy, Love, Death, Rage, Fear, and Greed. They were all contradicting elements, yes, but this balanced out the living properties in the whole multiverse.

Emma: Unfortunately, they battled all the time like an old married couple! One leader usually started these disputes, with his orange clothes, cow-like face, and hideous Frank Drebin laugh... Larfleeze.

Jack: Larfleeze can manipulate the greed in somebody, making them turn against whoever the serve and steal things for their own. And being a Lantern, he can create energy constructs like other Lanterns to aid him in battle.

Emma: Larfleeze has got a tricky little ability that allows him to turn anybody he killed into his own minion. He's got cloning abilities to boggle his opponent's mind, energy manipulation to control any type of energy around him, and weapon creation to make any tool he needs for battling foes at any occasion.

Jack: He can steal and copy the abilities of other, control one's size, change the temperature of the environment and with the Orange Lantern Battery, Larfleeze can summon his entire Corps with the opponents he's slayed over the years being a part of them.

Jack: Larfleeze has defeated the Guardian of the Universe, and had the power go up against the entire Green Lantern Corps on his own and emerged victorious. That includes their strongest members Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan.

Emma: Kyle is strong enough to contain the Big Bang from Imperiex and Hal travelled the universe in under an hour which, when factoring the size of the DC multiverse, puts Hal at 5 quintillion times the speed of light. And this sonuvabitch can hold his own against the likes of Vulthoom, Pre-Crisis Superman and Harbinger!

Jack: Volthoom survived being thrown into a black hole and Pre-Crisis Supes once destroyed an entire solar system with a sneeze and one of Harbinger's clones who was merging entire universe together.

Weaknesses

Blue Lantern Rings are immune to the Orange energy of greed and so are the best weapons against Larfleeze. Larfleeze is still able to fight against Blue Lanterns; but is relatively at a disadvantage

He cannot absorb Violet or Blue energy

As unlikely as this is; Larfleeze is weakened if his Greed calms down as Greed is what fuels him

Jack: It doesn't help that his own minions have sentience and would not hesitate to kill Larfleeze or even steal the Ring for themselves, hence why there's always only one Orange Lantern in the universe. And Blue Lantern Rings are a complete counter to Larfleeze's greed as they give hope.

Emma: But these faults, Larfleeze has proved himself why he's a literal one-man army time and time again. And should he sees something he really wants, god have mercy to the fool that tries to take it away from him.

Larfleeze: NO! That's mine! You can't have it! You shouldn't have come here! So many come here to steal what is mine! You have broken our treaty, Guardians! Now you'll all be mine!

The Negative Zone

The deep, cold depths of the Negative Zone stretched across any spot visible. Pieces of debris, corpses, and multiple rocks float slowly across the area, devoid of life. A conical, clutter of rock floats across the deep depths of the Negative Zone, with a golden throne sitting atop. With his green wings perched and purple armor discharged, Annihilus, the Lord of Death, laid back and saw the perfect, absolutely perfect, silent zone. It all belonged to him. And yet he still wanted more. Clutching his fist and pounding it down on the armrest, Annihilus screamed out.

Annihilus: Auuggh, is there NOBODY who dares to challenge me? Nobody in this endless void?!

Annihilus sat back down and covered his eyes, unaware of someone behind him.

???: Sounds like a cry for help.

Annihilus gasped, and turned around. Behind him was a tall, slender beast clad in orange. Upon his hairy finger rested a tiny, shining ring. Larfleeze was clearly looking for a challenge.

Annihilus: What are you here for, foolish peasant??

Annihilus shouted, pulling himself up from his throne. Larfleeze then sets his eyes one something.

Larfleeze: I want that shiny around your neck- yes! The shiny!

Annihilus realized that Agent Orange was talking about; his Cosmic Control Rod.

Annihilus: No! It's mine! All mine!

Larfleeze clenched his fist in visible disgust.

Larfleeze: Fine then. We will brawl for your shiny.

Annihilus pulled off his garments, and his wings shot up instantly. His Cosmic Control Rod began to glow, as his hands were charged with black energy.

Annihilus: Winner takes all.

FIGHT!

Larfleeze begins the battle by forming a short broadsword in his hands using his ring. He struck with a level stance, but Annihilus created a massive mace in time to block the attack. Sparks flew as the blades clashed, until Annihilus struck Larfleeze back and knocked the mace flying back into the void of space, exploding into golden dust. He gashes at the orange lantern's arm, creating a small, bleeding cut.

Using his visible advantage, Annihilus summoned two burly monsters to charge towards Larfleeze. However, Larfleeze clutched his fist and the beast instantly switch into an orange glow, before rotating around and rushing Annihilus.

Annihilus: A clever one, I see, but you can't match the might of a genius species.

Annihilus cackled, before reaching his arms out and blasting the beasts that originally belonged to him into dust. Larfleeze dashes up to punch Annihilus, who used his quick insectoid reflexes to slug the beast under the neck and grab him by the arm. The disgruntled lantern bit at Annihilus, and proceeded to punch him directly in the face.

Annihilus stumbled back and howled, whilst still holding his glowing mace. He performed an upward slash at Larfleeze, who moved back and grabbed the ball of the mace. He clutched the transparent weapon, before his ring began to glow as he seemingly absorbed the energy constructing the tool. Larfleeze blasts up into the air and channels his orange light of greed to create a whole ragtag gang of clones, who pile on the unfortunate alien conquerer.

Annihilus roars, and fire multiple, glowing lasers that reduced the animalistic beasts down to glowing dark matter before homing in on the confused Larfleeze. Despite his given weakness, the cow-like alien dodged the speeding beams and laughed, before getting clocked in the chest by one and sent hurtling down onto a wrecked ship. The wounded Larfleeze lay on the cold metal, as Annihilus' metal feet clanking slowly approach him.

Annihilus: Now, foolish animal, you will witness true power!

But before he could stomp on his face, Larfleeze's minions appeared and grabs Annihilus by his limbs, immobilizing him and giving Agent Orange time to recover and gain some distance. Eyes narrowing, the Lord of the Negative Zone roars as he knocks the minions of him.

Annihilus: So you have an army?! Two can play at this game!

Annihilus pounded his chest, and almost simultaneously, a huge group of ghoulish beasts appeared right behind him.

Larfleeze cackled in excitement as his army charged towards the opposing side leering above them, and weapons began to clash. Thus commenced the clash of Annihilus and Larfleeze as well. The latter began to morph his arm into an axe, and began to charge toward Annihilus. Seeing this trick coming from a mile away, Annihilus grabbed Larfleeze by the leg and spun him around in the air, going around like a carnival ride.

Eventually, the disgruntled bug tossed Larfleeze into space and dusted his hands. However, the orange lantern flashed a quick shit-eating grin, and the ship they were standing on began to crumble with Annihilus still on top. Screaming while being crushed, Annihilus managed to rip himself out and headbutt directly into the chest of Larfleeze.

Larfleeze: DAMN! YOU JUST WON'T STAY DOWN?!

The frustrated Orange Lantern split into many confusing clones that rushed so quickly that it caught Annihilus off guard. Punches were thrown, and Annihilus was broken up by the dirty grinning clones. One of them managed to get a good hit and managed to clock him directly in the neck.

Eyes glowing with rage, Annihilus ripped the head clean off of the pesky clone and ripped the others into bloody shreds, leaving the real Larfleeze.

Larfleeze: Oh shit!

The Lord of the Negative Zone smashed directly into Larfleeze's face with a punch, sending the unfortunate lantern barreling down to the armies below. In some sort of last-ditch move, Larfleeze picked up the orange soul of Leezle Pon and tossed him directly at Annihilus.....

Leezle Pon: Fuck you! Fuck you, man!

..... before being smashed by Annihilus. The spore creature dives in from behind, but before he can land a punch, the smallpox cell kicks in, and Larfleeze smacks Annihilus into the floating debris. Annihilus' eyes began to glow sizzling red as he fired smoking hot beams. Tracking across the cold void, the beams were soon absorbed by Larfleeze's ring, who then began to glow with a blinding orange light.

His eyes began to flash orange, as he tackled Annihilus head-on and sent them both tumbling through space. In a single swing, Larfleeze managed to lodge a sword into Annihilus' head.

Annihilus: Fool!

An array of tentacles constructed completely of dark matter erupted from the recently formed crack on the side of Annihilus' head. Grabbing Larfleeze, the beast swung the alien around and smashed him directly into a boulder. The squid-like being was snarling heavily, and Larfleeze was grunting in pain and agony. Before being crushed to death, however, Larfleeze used his glowing ring to form a massive pair of scissors to slice off the tentacle he was being clutched by! The hole on the side of Annihilus' head quickly patched up and his eyes flickered once more.

Larfleeze: Not even otherworldly forces can stop Larflee-

The lantern was soon cut off as Annihilus delivered a heavy blow directly in his midsection, pushing him up miles in the air. Seemingly teleporting to the landing spot of Larfleeze, Annihilus punched him directly in the face, squirting blood from his pig-like nose. Falling backwards, Larfleeze was open for attacking due to his injuries. In a hurry, Annihilus immediately darted to close that distance, swinging his sword in a wide arc against his opponent's chest.

Digging into flesh, it would tear a long slice through Larfleeze's torso that would trickle out into the void of space. The stunned Larfleeze feels Annihilus slowly digging at his organs, pushing them all one by one slowly to make the pain last longer.

Annihilus: I will make you die slowly. I will make you rethink your whole life. I will make you wish you were never born!

Evaluating the clear situation, Larfleeze tightly grabbed Annihilus' arm so that his claws would dig into his flesh.

Larfleeze: Clearly, only one of us can do that job. And I won't let it be the hideous bug that thinks he can defeat an Orange Lantern!

Larfleeze ripped Annihilus' arm out of his chest, and blasted him away to give him time to regenerate the missing organs. The clearly pissed Annihilus lifts his arms and molds the shattered rubble into a massive, floating ball that he soon hurtled at Larfleeze.

The alien clawed through it, however, and he dashed towards Annihilus, who was ready this time. He clutched his fist, and delivered smashing blow directly in the eye of the unfortunate Larfleeze! The lantern was blasted back with his eyeball floating outside of his socket, and with blood floating in the air everywhere.

Larfleeze: I cannot lose!

Proceeding to swirl with orange energy, Larfleeze would dart up towards Annihilus, his mighty jump shattering the ground of the vacant planet. He delivered a bone-shattering punch directly in the face of Annihilus, who was then launched backwards, screaming in agony, before crashing into another wrecked spacecraft.

Annihilus: You foolish clown! Have you not realized that you cannot forever keep the mighty Annihilus down? I will have your head!

Trying to fight back, Larfleeze pushed his hairy arm forward and formed a full-fledged Orange Lantern battery right in his fist. He flashed quickly towards the spore overland, and with a single swing, smashed him backwards into a cluster of rocks.

The greedy xenophobic alien flew quickly towards Annihilus, and grabbed his burly throat- not to rip it up, but to steal his shiny weapon. The claw dig deep into the band, and with a single pull, the rod was out of his neck!

Larfleeze: Stupid bug! You could never match me- not in a million years!

Larfleeze cackled as his arms reached for the Control Rod. But before he could claim the weapon, it blasted directly back to Annihilus' neck.

Larfleeze: Okay, that su-

Larfleeze was cut off by Annihilus whacking him in the chest with a large, golden staff. After smacking him in the face, Larfleeze grabbed the weapon and snapped it in two.

Annihilus: Hey! That was mine!

Annihilus bellowed, and he leaped towards Larfleeze with his bands charging a blast. Before he could strike, however, Larfleeze did the same with surrounding cosmic energy, and he uppercuts Annihilus right through the chest with guts swirling across his furry arms. However, as expected, the hole would regenerate and Annihilus would be in perfect condition again, much to the Orange Lantern's anger.

Larfleeze: STOP GROWING BAAAAAAAAAAAAAaCK!

He clenched his fists together to make a forcefield and he tried to ram into Annihilus, who did the same exact thing and countered the expertly created plan. The strengthening forces of both shields created a swirling rampage, sending them both hurtling through the armies and knocking the troops over. Larfleeze would decide to take advantage over his opponent and created a small mace in his hands. The cackling alien lifted it up

The forcefield was completely shattered. "Wha- how did you do that," spoke the confused Annihilus, who was too boggled to realize that a Larfleeze clone was right behind him. "ACK-?!" The clone smashed directly into the chest of the bug tyrant, which tossed him over to Larfleeze. With a determined grit, Larfleeze held Annihilus up for a suplex, and smashed him down directly on a nearby planet. The bug overlord was collapsed on a newly formed crater, as he saw Larfleeze dart down and began punching the Lord of the Negative Zone repeatedly in the face.

Annihilus: Stop hitting me, you rotten cow!

The furious Annihilus tackled Larfleeze and pushed them both out into space again, rolling them down to where the armies were still fighting. Rapidly being punched, the already bloodied up Larfleeze looked as red as a tomato! Finally, Annihilus attached both the Quantam Bands and Nega Bands together on each arm, sizzling his limbs and making him scream. This was not in vain, however, this was because of all the power he had just gained. Punching his fist down on Larfleeze, the cow-like creature blasted away like a beam of light. The singular attack ripped out all of Larfleeze's tusks, leaving them as empty white bones floating with no purpose.

Larfleeze: Grh... gragh... GRAHHH! You can't keep an Orange Lantern down, you fool!

Larfleeze charged a massive energy beam from his fingertips, aiming it directly at his opponent's treasured rod.

However, this was not the end of it, as Annihilus used his telekinesis to completely redirect the massive beam straight towards Larfleeze. He somehow powered his way through the beam, and had his fist at the ready to deliver a crushing blow. Instead, he fell directly into Annihilus' trap! His neck landed directly into his metallic arm, and his eyes began to glow a flashing blue as Larfleeze started to fall asleep.

Location: Larfleeze's Mind

A barren, black void is seen floating around in nowhere. Suddenly, a small astral projection of Annihilus fell down through a portal that had just appeared as he looked around.

Larfleeze: You fool.

When he looked forward, he saw Larfleeze standing with his back turned. Annihilus looked forward and sees Larfleeze standing with his back turned.

Larfleeze: You're in my world now!

Annihilus stood back as Larfleeze rose in the air, forming the terrain of the Orange Lantern's base Okaara.

Larfleeze: Prepare to fall!

Before he had time to react, Annihilus was met by a crushing blow to the face. Grabbed by the leg, he was swung around before being hurtled directly at a boulder.

Annihilus: STUPID COW! I CONTROL ALL WORLDS!

The shattered boulder pieces formed into knives, which all went speeding towards Larfleeze. However, Agent Orange managed to block them all with his arms, at the cost of some of his blood. His ring flashed, and he hit Annihilus so hard that his jaw completely fell off! Suddenly, Annihilus hopped back up and formed a lance in his fingertips before running it directly though Larfleeze's chest.

Larfleeze: Did you forget? I'm in control here!

With a snap of his fingers, Annihilus began to slowly disintegrate. Chunks of him tore apart as he finally felt a new emotion: fear.

Annhilius No, please! I'll give you whatever you want!

That was when Annihilus had a flashback. Larfleeze clearly wanted his family, and he would twist this to his own advantage.

His Cosmic Control Rod began to glow, and everything would disappear with Annihilus no longer in his mind.

Larfleeze: He's gone now!

He saw a creature similar to him standing in the distance with many smaller versions of him facing the same way.

"W-what?" Larfleeze grunted, as he walked slowly towards these figures.

Larfleeze: Br-Brokia? Is that you?

Suddenly, these characters disappeared in thin air as Larfleeze fell to his knees sobbing.

???: They don't love you, you idiotic cow! They're never coming back for you and your foolish greed!

A voice boomed in his head, which was clearly Annihilus. Turns out, he was using his Fear Projection to stay inside of Larfleeze's mind.

Larfleeze: No..... NO!!! I know they still care! I know they still-

Larfleeze stopped his words as he looked down at his ring, flashing on his finger. He realized in the grand scheme of things, nothing mattered to him.

Nothing but his conquest and thirst for everything. He then began to recite the Orange Lantern Corps oath.

Larfleeze: The power is mine, this is my light.

Annihilus: THEY HATE YOU!

Larfleeze: Be it in bright of day or black of night.

Annihilus: THEY HATE YOU!

Larfleeze: I lay claim to all that falls within my sight.

Annihilus: Impossible! I'm losing him?!

Larfleeze: To take what I want, THAT IS MY RIGHT!

Suddenly, Larfleeze's mindscape would seemingly shatter, as the camera pans out to show his fist firmly clenched on Annihilus' source of power!

Smashing it entirely, the glow in Annihilus' eyes would suddenly fade out as he looked horridly in his foe's eyes.

Larfleeze: You keep calling me a cow, huh? Then I'll grind you like it's meat!

Larfleeze dug his claw into one of Annihilus' arms and ripped it clean off, and proceeded to do it even more. Blood splattered all over the area they were battling in, and Annihilus could only watch in horror as his final leg was torn off and tossed into his own dimension.

However, Larfleeze wouldn't make this pain quick. He began to ferociously dig his hands deep into Annihilus' chest before pulling the skin clean off, and then proceeded to rip out his organs: the heart, the intestines, the lungs, the spleen, all gone.

As the light left Annihilus' eyes, Larfleeze barreled his claws through the top of his head and began to pull apart until his foe was split into two, bleeding, lifeless halves. He then dropped the corpse down to space and wiped his mouth.

Larfleeze: Useless.

He darted off in an orange streak.

KO!

* Larfleeze sat on Annihilus throne, inspecting his Orange Lantern Ring.

* Annihilus' split halves floated in the void of space.

Emma: Damn! That was brutal! Wait, I wonder how a dead insectoid would taste?

Jack:..... I'm gonna make you lay off Magister Tennyson's cooking for a month.

Emma: Awwwwww.

Jack: Ahem. This was certainly a odd match to say the least, and each side could've taken a win if the rules were changed at all. However, Larfleeze had too many special options to win the battle.

Emma: Yeah, Annihilus' Cosmic Control Rod may have been an extremely powerful weapon, but it basically paled in comparison to the infinite abilities of the Orange Lantern Ring, for the only limit this baby has is Larfleeze's imagination.

Jack: Despite Annihilus' massively stronger durability, Larfleeze is a tactical fighter, and has been able to deal with instances like this in the past. For example, when he directly fought Parallax, he was able to easily pinpoint a weakness and help the other lanterns take him down with his plotting.

Emma: Besides, Annihilus' much stronger brute force wouldn't be able to take down Larfleeze who survived being hurtled directly into an active black hole and survived a hit from Nekron that had even killed gods.

Jack : However, Annihilus did have one way to take down Larfleeze: Fear Projection. Since Larfleeze is a highly paranoid being, even afraid of an atom's worth of his collection being stolen, Annihilus would be able to easily manipulate this and rip away what he wants millions of times.

Emma: But how? How didn't that stop Larfleeze?

Jack: Well, when Larfleeze temporarily gained the Blue Lantern Ring from Saint Walker, this allowed him to feel the emotion of hope. Hope, permanently implanted in his mind, would give Larfleeze the mind power to realize his material possessions don't matter in the grand scheme- only his rise to power.

Emma: But what about Annihilus' kinesis abilities? Couldn't he just rip the ring straight off his finger or burn him to death?

Jack: Actually, no. Larfleeze and other lantern leaders are capable of willing their rings back into existence with only their minds.

Emma: And burning him to death won't help when Larfleeze and other Ogatooans are capable of surviving temperatures hotter than the sun, as the crust of Ogatoo is literally, well, hotter than the sun!

Jack: Annihilus technically had an infinite amount of soldiers to bend at his fingertips compared to Larfleeze's limited Orange Corps. However, Larfleeze's minions have actually been trained the moment they got their ring to the moment they were killed, unlike Annihilus' soldiers who are only built to be mindless brutes out to kill.

Emma: Basically, Larfleeze's soldiers have developed minds and are generally good tacticians for striking down the mindless creatures. And Larfleeze is also way too fast for Annihilus to hit consistently. Comparing them to Thor and Hal Jordan respectively, Larfleeze is 2.5 x faster than Annihilus. Also, Larfleeze is leagues more experienced due to training for around for millions of years while Annihilus only sprouted from the ground and decided to kill people!

Jack: In the end, while Annihilus was faster, smarter, and overall tankier, Larfleeze had the experience, arsenal, tenacity, and tactics to destroy the Living Death That Walks once and for all.

Emma: Annihilus thought he could wing it, but Larfleeze's victory was just the ring on the finger.

Jack: The winner is Larfleeze.
