Dear Readers,

I know many of you have been loyaly and patiently awaiting an update to this book, and I think I owe you all at least some explaination.

Whether you've been following this story since the day I started it, or if you've only just gotten into it now, I just want to take a moment to thank you for your support and encouragement. I started this fanfic when I was young, bored and inexperienced, and since starting it I have grown in more ways than one. I'm older, I like to think I'm a little wiser, and I also like to believe that my writing style has changed, hopefully for the better.

Just over a year ago I moved from England to Germany, and the first few months were hell. I hated it, and I felt alone and scared. Things got better for a little bit, but then the world changed, and the pandemic took hold. Since then, my mental health and motivation have taken a tumble, and I've been really struggling for a few months. Because of this, I didn't have the time or the energy to keep putting in the same level of care and thought into this, or my other, fanfics.

Don't worry - I'm not discontinuing Death At My Will, or any of my other stories. Right now, however, I am on an indefinite hiatus. I don't know when I'll be back, but I think I ought to lead by example and take care of my mental health before diving back into this with fresh eyes.

I know I've left you all hanging for months and months, and I can understand if some of you are frustrated or annoyed at the lack of updates. Trust me, I've been in your position too. All I can ask of you at this point is to be patient and bear with me for the time being.

I do have loads of ideas for the story in the future (some of them thanks to a fabulously dedicated viewer and friend), so I hope when I come back, I'll be able to do so with a big exciting bang. I'm also probably going to be going back and editing all of the existing chapters when I have time, because looking back at them... Man I was fucking cringy.

Thank you once again for your continued support. I was absolutely fucking stunned to come back to Wattpad after several months avoiding it to see this story had wracked up over 7k (I had to double check that, I thought it was only 5k!) reads. I never imagined I'd even get a hundred, so this big a number is... Astounding. I'm so so honoured you guys like this (pretty crappy) story 😂

In short; my deepest apologies for the incredibly long and totally unannounced hiatus, but it's probably going to be going on for a little longer. I will slowly be working on updating new chapters and editing old ones, but as I said - the process will likely be slow.

Thank you for reading my story, and for sticking with it even after all this time. You have seriously no idea how much it means to me that even now, I still get notifications telling me new people are commenting and voting on my story. It means the world to me.
