( Chapter Three )
Derek has little minions now.
NATALIE HATED P.E, MORE THAN SHE HATED DEREK HALE. She couldn't decide if it was because that Coach taught it or just the amount of running it involves which is also why she could never be a werewolf especially with all that running.
The activity was a rock wall and Natalie had gone up before Scott and Allison, going aganist who she unfortunately forgot the name. Allison had shoved Scott's foot off with lasting smirk. Scott falling down to the floor, safe with his harness, Coach started to chuckle, "McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy. Right? All right, next two. Stilinski two, Erica, let's go! The wall."
Natalie observed as Stiles instantly, feeling like a little kid again, speeding up the wall as it was the easiest thing. But once he came down, Natalie watched Erica begin to panic as she was a couple feet in the air. The blonde headed girl started to hyperventilate, crying softly which pinched Natalie's heart.
She pushed people so she could move towards the wall, Scott following her lead. "Erica, its okay," Natalie reassured, "Just slowly let go, I'm right here."
"Erica! Dizzy? Is it vertigo?" Coach questioned, not making the situation any better.
Lydia scrunched her face in confused before saying, "Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out."
Allison grew worried. "Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic," Allison said, reminding the teacher.
"Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff?" Coach angerly groaned, "Erica, you're fine. Just kick off from the wall. There's a mat to catch you.. and a girl, Stilinski one is there."
Natalie rolled her eyes, stepping back away just a little bit as she noticed Erica slowly let go. As she came down, Natalie placed a hand on her lower back, "See, it's okay. You're okay."
Coach added in, "You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. Let's go." Directing to her the nurse's office, the students croweded around her, not making her feel any better.
Natalie ruffled her dark wavy hair that was half up and half down, disappointed in how stereotypical her peers were before she went off to the locker room.
AT LUNCH, NATALIE SAT DEEP IN THOUGHT AS SHE READ A "FUN FACTS ABOUT WEREWOLVES" BOOK. "Scott, when you turn into your little werewolf thing," Natalie voiced, "Do you have three legs?"
Scott was caught off guard by her question, his eyes squinting as he broke a smile. "No, Nat, I do not have three legs, what ever you're reading is probably a myth."
Natalie chewed on her fingernail as she continued to read. At the bottom of the little page, it made Scott be correct. Natalie sighed, "Yeah, it says what people think werewolves are."
Scott let out a little chuckle before Stiles scrambled over to their table. Making so much noise, mostly everyone in the cafeteria turned to look at him. "Sorry," He mumbled, looking around at everyone, "Guys, do you see that?"
The dark haired girl looked up from her book, noticing Allison was walking away. "Yeah," Natalie answered, "Allison and Scott just had a serious talk." Stiles grabbed her head, turning it to the empty table in front of them. "An empty table?" She questioned
Stiles continued, "Yeah, but whose empty table?"
Scott's face seemed to drain of color as he realized, "Boyd."
The trio scrambled from their seats, rushing their way out into the hallway. Natalie cursing under breath as she accidentally creased one of the pages in her book. "We'll go to the ice rink and see if he's there. And if he's not at home, you call me, got it?"
"But I'm not going to the rink," Natalie reminded, "What am I suppose to do?"
Scott elaborated, "I was meaning the house part for you." Which was such a simple thing to pay attention to, having Scott to claify it just made her feel stupid.
Stiles took a deep breath, stopping his movement, "Maybe we should let him. Boyd, you know, man? You said Derek's giving them a choice, right?"
Scott roughly got a hold of Stiles' arm, "We can't."
"You got to admit, Erica looks pretty good. You know the word "sensational" comes to mind," Stiles admitted, Natalie rolled her eyes at his words.
"How good do you think she's gonna look with a wolfsbane bullet in her head?" Natalie whispered, using her hands to show her annoyance.
"All right, all right," Stiles recalled, "All I'm saying is maybe this one isn't totally your responsibility, Scott."
Scott disagreed, explaining, "They all are. And you know this things gonna get out of control. That makes me responsible."
Stiles nodded, "All right, I'm with you. And I also got to say this newfound heroism is making me very attracted to you."
Natalie let out a soft giggle at Stiles attempt to playfully flirt with Scott. Which made him smile, "Shut up."
"No, seriously," Stiles said, stopping to face up with Scott, Natalie behind them watching as they were like a movie, "Do you want to just try making out for a sec? Just to see how it feels."
Natalie tapped her foot, checking her nails micking a popular girl, "Uh, am I interrupting something here?"
Stiles turned his head slightly, his face displaying an look of hurt. "Yes, you are in fact. Can you let us have some alone time," He exaggerated.
Natalie scoffed, pushing her brother forward to start walking. A huge smile glued to her face as she missed these small moments of just the three of them laughing, ever since Scott had changed into something supernatural—half of the time everything was so serious.
The bell echoed through the halls, signaling Natalie's time to leave. She adjusted her bag and started to drift off from the boys. Stiles calling out to her, "Yo, Nat! Where you going? I'm not actually to make out with Scott."
She spun around, walking backwards down the hopefully not running into anyone. "I have to score my chances of becoming soccer captain, have fun though!"
Stiles saluted his twin, which in other words was good luck without speaking—so Natalie reflected his movements.
NATALIE CHANGED INTO HER SOCCER OUTFIT, PULLING HER HAIR BACK WITH AN ELASTIC, SHE TIGHTENED HER SHOES BEFORE RUNNING OUT TO THE FIELD. The girls soccer team wasn't the best, but they also didn't have many player so they were at a strong disadvantage.
Natalie had played soccer for almost all of her life; Stiles had lacrosse and Natalie had soccer. It was her own little therapy, once she was on the field, kicking that ball, all of her problems seemed to melt away. Even then, she let out all of her built up emotions during games.
Not once was she a team captain, there was always some higher classmen beating her at her chances. But it just made Natalie thrive to be better, to get that spot, and her time was now.
Coach had mentioned the postioning of the team captian being open which she thought he was bluffing to make the game seem fair. Until a senior piped up, arguing with him that it wasn't and he fully confirmed it was.
So Natalie worked her ass off, earning a few compliments from Coach here and there, "You are doing great, Stilinski One!" Hey, its still a compliment.
Near the end of practice, Natalie had the ball, kicking it to the opposing goal. She had good technique, it's true! But for one glimpse, her eyes flickered to the goalie—not noticing the senior going in for a side tackle.
She came fast and she came quick. Her foot came underneath Natalie's, causing her to get caught under. Natalie went up in the air, doing some sort of flip before landing down hard on her back—knocking the air out of her.
Natalie weased, suddenly panicking as she had no breath. "Someone check on Stilinski One!" Coach commanded. Every player surrounded her, crowding her view of the sunlight.
She couldn't mutter out a word with no breath so all she could do was send a thumbs up. One of the players helped Natalie up from the floor, she felt her back all wet from the grass. "Coach," Natalie managed to get out, "I'm going to take a breather."
Coach nodded and focused back onto the players, "Now who did that to Stilinski One?" Natalie heard the muffling of arguing before he shouted, "Sit down, you're benched."
Natalie dragged herself to her locker, which had her extra water bottle. After doing the code and opening her locker, she felt her upper body give up so she stayed resting on the cool metal.
"That was one of a fall you had out there," A voice spoke, making Natalie jump out of her skin.
She swiftly closed her locker, taking sight of the Isaac Lahey who was behind it. "I don't have enough air as it is, don't need to scare me," Natalie mumbled, "Aren't you suppose to be up Derek's ass?"
Isaac cocked his head at her tone, smirking slightly, "You know about that."
"Of course I do," Natalie glared at him, "I kind of had to face you when you were all wolfied out. If it wasn't for your alpha Derek, you would've bit Stiles' head off."
Isaac lifted an eyebrow, "Why not you?" He asked, mentioning the fact he didn't launch for her when he in his werewolf form.
"I should be asking you that question, shouldn't I?" Natalie spat back, sudden attitude was all she could give Isaac.
He knew why he didn't go for her, he didn't understand it—not at all. Isaac had ran into one time, one time and now he felt connected to her.
Ringing filled the silence between the two, Natalie grabbed a hold of her phone from her locker, the contact name revealing, twin brother. "Hey, Stiles, what's up, I'm at practice," She answered, facing her body away from Isaac.
Isaac leaned on the locker, listening in to the conversation on the phone secretly. "It was Erica, and I don't know where the other minion is at," Stiles explained which was Isaac sign to leave.
Natalie froze in place, "I think I might know where he's at." Hanging up the phone, she spun around with nobody there.
