Epilogue
'You threatened to take someone's eye out for hurting me but this is terrifying!'
Corey woke to the sight of a blonde looking at her hand. It wasn't as bright, hues of orange and pink slipping through the windows of the infirmary. "Where am I?" Corey asked, catching the attention of her company. "You're awake!" Percy exclaimed, his lungs letting out a sigh. Corey furrowed her eyebrows at him, "I'm sorry...have we met?" She asked him, sitting up slowly on the bed.
Percy froze at her question, his face dropping. "Seashell, it's me. Percy, you're little brother" He tried to remind her, only Corey seemed even more confused. "Sorry, my brother's name isn't Percy, it's Sea Pup" She told him. Percy looked at her confused, "That's what you ca–" Percy glared at Corey, who was now trying not to snicker at him. He grabbed a pillow and hit her legs, Corey laughing out loud at him. Percy couldn't help but laugh too.
"I'm so happy you're okay, when Annabeth told me you got hurt...I wanted to–" Percy was stopped by Corey's hand squeezing his. "Don't, I'm here, I'm alive and so are you" She told him softly. Percy smiled before wrapping his arms around her, "I was so scared that I was going to lose you again. When you almost died for me back on Olympus, I remembered what it felt like when Hades took my mom" Percy didn't realise he was crying until he felt his tears on his cheek.
Corey cooed at him, hugging him tightly. "I'm your sister, I won't ever leave you. Ever" She promised him, kissing his temple softly. "I love you Corey" Percy told her, his head still resting on her shoulder. Corey smiled at his words, "I love you too, Percy.

Percy folded his bright orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, holding it in his hands for a few moments. "You okay?" Corey asked him from behind. She was cleared by the head Apollo Counselor that morning, now in fresh clothes and a new scar to go with her latest battle. Percy sighed, turning to his sister. "Does it ever get easier?" He asked her, seeing that her hands were behind her back.
Corey smiled at him, "No, but there is a way to know that no matter what happens, Camp is usually the same" She told him, holding out her hand. Percy smiled at her, seeing his leather rope necklace with a dark blue bead strung on it. "This year's bead represents the claiming of two children of Poseidon, one who saved the world from Kronos and the other who kept her doofus brother alive" She smirked, clasping it around his neck.
Percy rolled her eyes, "Last time I checked, I was the one who saved you from the House of Mirrors" He joked, earning a light slap up the head. "Whatever, you got everything?" She peered over his shoulder to see all his clothes folded next to his bag. "Yeah" Percy smiled.
Chiron stood outside Cabin Three, waiting as Percy packed up his clothes. "None of this is easy" He told him from outside. "Saying goodbye" He looked at Corey who walked out with her bag on her shoulders. Percy walked out to him, "I may not be gone long. I just need to see if Hades has returned her yet" he told his mentor. Chiron folded his arms, "And you're certain that you won't accept... an armed escort?" He questioned the young half-blood.
Corey raised her eyebrow at the centaur, "Are you doubting me?" She asked coyly, crossing her own arms. Percy rolled his eyes at his sister, "I told you, I don't think Luke wants to kill me" Percy reminded him. "I don't think he does, either" Chiron agreed. Corey bounced on the heel of her feet, "Yeah I can't say that same" She clicked her teeth. Chiron only shook his head. "That's what scares me" Chiron admitted to them.
"When Luke explained why he planned to take down Olympus, part of it made sense to you, didn't it?" Chiron suggested to Percy, humming at his own deduction. "Luke knows that you'd be a powerful ally to his cause" Chiron explained to Percy, knowing that both siblings agreed with the fact, "And his master, Kronos, he can be very, very persuasive" He added, eyeing Corey slightly. "Yeah" Percy agreed with him, "But I'm very, very stubborn. And he failed before" Percy smiled at Corey who nodded. It was true, Kronos tried to corrupt Corey first and failed due to their father breaking Ancient Laws and interfering with the plan.
Chiron seemed pleased with Percy's response, "You have to be very careful. You're more than a hero now" Chiron reminded him carefully, not wanting to give the kid a big head. "You are a leader in the eyes of your fellow half-bloods" Chiron smiled softly at the siblings, "You have both made me very proud" He told them.
The siblings both felt a warmth at Chiron's words, smiling at him sweetly. "Great" Mr D huffed as he walked up beside Chiron, "You're still here. Both of you" He seemed agitated. Corey and Percy rolled their eyes at him, "We were just leaving" Corey reassured the God. Percy looked to Chiron, "Thank you" He told him. Chiron shook his head, "No. Thank you, Percy. Corey" Chiron told them. Percy turned to get the rest of his things when Mr D spoke up.
"Wait. Corey and Percy?" He questioned, making the boy turn while his sister groaned. "Yes?" Percy asked him. Mr D furrowed his eyebrows, "No. I mean, they're your names?" He asked them. Corey pinched the bridge of her nose, "Yes" She huffed at him. Mr D wasn't convinced, "Are you sure? 'Cause I'm 90% sure it's Cora and Peter–"
"Corey and Percy" Percy corrected him. "Corey Cesel and Percy Jackson" Corey smiled brightly. "I don't think so" Mr D denied, making Corey want to dagger her eyes out. "I'm pretty sure I know my own name" Percy deadpanned. Mr D shrugged his shoulders at him, "Ah, you know what? I don't actually care".
The God turned on his heels, "Okay !For those of you who are not staying for the full term..." He shouted mildly, "...get out!" Mr D bellowed walking towards campers. "You get out. Pack your bags. You're going home!" He shouted. Corey laughed at him, "Some things never change" She told herself

"How does she feel about all of this?" Percy walked up to Annabeth, who was talking to Thalia's tree. "You going home to see your dad?" He questioned her. Annabeth rolled her eyes at him, taking a step back. "It's a tree, Seaweed Brain. It doesn't express opinions" She told him with mock annoyance. But nothing could stop the smile on Annabeth's face, "But I imagine she's thrilled" She admitted. Corey gave her a side hug, kissing her head softly, "I'm happy for you Owlet, and no doubt Thalia is too".
"And how do you feel about it?" Percy asked her, wanting to know how Annabeth felt about all this. "Well, he wants to show me New York City first, so I'm gonna pretend I haven't been there, and then some place called Disney World, which kinda sounds like Waterland but... less determined to kill you" Annabeth ranted to him, only to see Percy smiled at her softly. She looked at him worried, "Wait, did I read that wrong? What am I walking into? Is there something you're supposed to do there?" Annabeth questioned Percy with fear only for the blonde to chuckle lightly at his best friend.
"Just...be a kid" Percy told her, earning a smile. "Guys! Guys!" Grover's voice shouted as the young satyr ran up to the trio. "You got it?" Annabeth asked as the trio waited to see what put a smile on Grover's face. Grover nodded enthusiastically, "Where is it?" Percy asked him. Grover pulled back his jacket, showing off a green flower. "Is that your Searcher's license?" Percy asked, amazed by the flower tucked into his shirt pocket.
"Yeah" Grover tried not to squeal, "Officially authorised to begin the quest for Pan!" He added, trying not to jump to the sky with his excitement. "Oh, Grover! Ferdinand would be so proud" Corey cooed, patting his head softly. "Where are you gonna start?" Annabeth asked him. "Well, it seems like every inch of the natural world's been checked, noted, and footnoted. Then checked again" Grover explained to them, "The Council's theory is that Pan is always on the move, and it's all about timing. But... no one's ever bothered to check the seas" He suggested his own theory.
"I know some people in management out there, if you ever need some help" Percy offered. Grove smiled at the offer, "I'll find you" He told Percy. Corey felt her heart warm with pride, it felt like yesterday these kids could barely sit in a bus together without fighting and now they were offering each other advice, favors and support.
"Listen..." Percy took Corey out of her thoughts, " Let's make a pact" He suggested as it caught everyone's attention. "Right now. No matter what happens, we meet back here next year. All of us. Right here" He suggested. "Deal?" He asked. The group nodded as Grover brought the four of them in for a hug.

Corey parked the rental outside the cabin his mother had rented, looking over at Percy. He looked nervous, bouncing his leg up and down. Corey placed her hand on his knee, grabbing his attention. "Hey, it's gonna be okay" She told him. Percy nodded, taking a deep breath. "Race you?" He suggested. Corey smirked, "On three?" Both siblings placed their hands on their buckles.
"One, two–"
Before Corey could finish, Percy was out of the car like lightning. "Cheater!" She shouted running after him with the slam of the car door. By the time she got to the porch of the cabin, Percy was catching his breath with his hands on his knees.
"Percy!"
The boy shot up, opening the door so fast Corey was convinced it was ripped off its hinges. Inside, Sally Jackson stood in the middle of the cabin, looking at her son in awe. "Mom? He questioned, hoping this wasn't a dream. Sally let out a heartful cry as she opened her arms, "Percy!" She ran towards him as he did the same. Both mother and son held onto each other tightly. "Mom" Percy felt relieved as he heard his mother's heartbeat.
"What happened? Last thing I remember was..." Percy cut her off by breaking the hug. "Don't worry Mom, everything is fine...more than fine" He told her. Sally looked at him confused, "What do you mean?" She asked him. Percy looked back, seeing Corey trying to hide outside.
He walked back to the front door, holding out his hand. "Come on" He told Corey. The young girl gulped, Percy raised his eyebrow at her, "You threatened to take someone's eye out for hurting me but this is terrifying!" He questioned her. Corey huffed at him, taking her brother's hand. Sally looked even more confused as the ginger haired girl stared at her own feet. "Percy, who is this?" She asked him softly. Percy nudged Corey softly. "Seashell met my mom, Sally Jackson...y'know just alive this time and not encased in gold" Percy joked lightly making Corey chuckle. "Very funny Sea Pup" She smirked at him. Percy smiled, "Mom meet Corey Cesel, my older sister".
Corey met Sally eyes, the older woman looking at Corey in shock. "You...You're Percy's sister?" She gasped, walking towards Corey. The girl bit her lip, shooting out her hand. "It's lovely to meet you Mrs Jackson" Corey spoke up timidly. Sally noticed her nervousness, "Please call me Sally" She told her. "Sally" Corey corrected herself. Percy could see the tension around his mother and sister. "Corey sacrificed herself to Zeus to stop him from killing me" He spat out without thinking.
"Percy!" Both women scolded him before looking at each other once more. Sally smiled at Corey, but this time more motherly than before. "Do you like marshmallows Corey?" Sally asked her. Corey nodded, "Yeah, I do". Sally beamed at the answer.
"Now , whose eye was threatened to protect Percy?"
