Epilouge

"You and those milkshakes and burgers. I never understood how you could eat such crap and still stay so small." I grinned at the voice.

"I'll tell ya with one word, Vic. Perseverance. I may eat a load of crap, but I persevered through my training and kept the weight off." I said. Vic laughed as he and Val sat beside me.

"So... how did Alice turn out?" Val asked.

"You'd be proud of her. As much as she wished she could be a normal girl, she took on her duties as a Schwartz in stride. And as for using her powers... I think you could have learned something from her, Vic." I said.

"And the prophecy?" Val asked.

"Don't know. Didn't live long enough." I said.

"Dawn." He said.

"She was ready to face it when I left. I think she handled it well, considering both she and Noctis are alive and we're dead." I said. I looked out again.

"You're still watching?" Vic asked.

"Of course. I need to see this." I said.

"It's so sweet, seeing two who love each other come together." Val said.

"Why are you still sitting on a cloud, Dawn? Go enjoy the wedding." Regis said.

"You'll be okay here?" I asked.

"We always have been." Grace said. I smiled and spirited myself down. I sat in the window and watched as the man I loved walk our son down the isle to his husband.

I watched the exchanging of vows and finally their kiss. I walked behind Cor as he smiled softly at our son.

"You big softy." I said. He smiled and I knew he heard me. We followed them to the reception. Prompto's corenation was tomorrow. Prompto danced happily with Noctis and Noctis gave him a tender look. Cor was tucked away in a corner.

"Cor." I called. He looked up and his eyes widened.

"Dawn..." he breathed.

"Only you can see me right now, Cor." I said. I reached out and touched his cheek. He shivered.

"Cor... look after him. Even if he's married now, look after our son." I said.

"I will, love." He whispered. I leaned over and pecked a kiss to his lips. He closed his eyes.

"I love you, Cor." I said.

"I love you, Dawn." He whispered. I turned away and watched my son and his husband as they danced together.

Eventually, Prompto excused himself to go to the bathroom. I followed him out and waited outside. As he washed his hands, I showed myself behind him.

"Mom?!" He turned and looked at me.

"Hi, baby boy." I said.

"Mom.... I... I don't..."

"Shhh. It's okay, Prompto. I can't linger for very long." I said and touched his cheek. He stared at me in shock.

"I'm so proud of you, Prompto. You've come so far. You're so beautiful." I said and stroked his hair.

"Mom... I miss you." He said. I smiled.

"I'm always with you. Right here." I said and touched his chest over his heart.

"I love you, Mama." He said. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I love you, too, Chocoboy. Now go. Be happy with your husband." I said. I stepped back and disappeared. He smiled at the place I had been and returned to Noctis.

I watched as Noctis and Prompto cut their wedding cake and fed each other. It was cute. It really was.

I turned to return to the after life. I smiled as Regis, Grace, Victor and Valencia greeted me.

"So, Dawn?" Regis asked.

"They'll be just fine." I said. They all smiled at me. I gave one glance back and could see my son starting his new life.

"Everything is as it should be." I said.

Finally. I was able to move on.

The End.
