*Mielle's POV*

"Excuse me, you look familiar"

I froze and just like a robot in voice command, I automatically turn my gaze at her. Did she freaking noticed me?! Damn!

To my surprise, she's talking with the beast. Her brows furrowed, shocked and amazement was visible in her eyes and there's an unexplainable smile on her lips.

"I don't think I have met you before, Madame" the beast said.

The witch laughed in a very elegant way.

Then I remember the story of the beast. Damn it! Does fate starts to play its game without giving me a signal?

I resume on walking towards the entrance. Looks like the witch, remembered someone after seeing the beast. And the beast doesn't know that one of the characters in his story is actually standing right in front him.

I headed straight to the parking lot and sat on the hood of the beasts' car. I fished my phone out of my pocket and saw several missed calls from Amanda. My phone is in silent mode that's why I never got the chance to answer her calls.

I dialed her number and after three rings, she answered.

"What is the witch doing here?"

"The vice president is in the Philippines"

What a great way to greet each other a good morning.

"You knew?" she asked.

"That's why I'm asking what is she doing here?" I asked--a bit annoyed.

"She's there to visit all of the Empire Hotels. I believe she's in Baguio as of this moment" she said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Of course, I almost got caught in the hotel. Nagkasalubong pa kami" I said.

"Do you want me to book you a flight? What country?" she asked.

I sighed. Hindi naman pwedeng lagi akong tumatakas.

"I'll stay here, I bet aalis din yan" I said.

"Just call me, if you need anything" she said.

"What's her real business here, Amanda?" I asked. I know there's a another reason why she's here--it's something bigger.

"She will be visiting the construction of the biggest hotel and casino in the country. The Empire Group will open a hotel and casino in Pasay city. She's also planning to open a mall as an extension of the hotel and casino. It's one of her biggest projects before the renovation of the Empire Hotel in Vegas" she said.

My hands automatically flew towards my forehead. Why in the Philippines? Does she know that I'm here?

"Keep me in tract about that witch's business here" I said before I ended the call. Papalapit na kasi yung beast.

"Took you long enough" I said as I return my phone in my pocket.

"Had a small chitchat with the vice president" he said in a very arrogant tone.

I smirked, if you only knew.

"Anong sinabi nya?" I asked.

He sat beside me.

"She said I remind her of someone from her past" he said.

I raised my eyebrow.

"Really?" I asked then he nodded.

"Muntik na nga sya maniwala sa reincarnation after seeing me. That's weird" he said.

Tumayo na ako. Reincarnation my face! He clicked his car keys then I enter the driver's seat.

"I think she's referring to your dad, they must've met before in a party or somewhere" I said.

"Anong ginagawa mo dyan?" he asked.

"Hand me the keys, nagugutom na ako gusto ko ng kape" I said.

He sighed then he handed me the keys. Naghanap kami ng coffee shop and luckily we found one, near the mall. I ordered a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie while the beast ordered a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

May ilang tao na rin ang nandoon. Some of the girls are eyeing on the beast. I mentally rolled my eyes and continued eating my pie.

"Baka gusto mo pa ng isang slice?" the beast asked.

Nagangat ako ng tingin sa kanya, he's seating in front of me.

"Yes, please" I said.

He sighed then tumayo sya para umorder. I took a bite on his sandwich.

"Hmmm, this one's good too!" I said.

Halos maubos ko na yung sandwich then I saw him wearing an annoyed expression habang dala yung apple pie ko.

"Pati sandwich ko kinain mo?" he asked.

I pose a peace sign and smiled at him. He just rolled his eyes at me!

"Why so grumpy all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Nakakainis na kasi yung kagwapuhan ko" he said.

I stared at him with a poker face expression plastered on my face.

"Imbis na mabawasan, mas lalo pang nadagdagan. Akala nila artista ako and they asked if it's ok to have a picture with me" he said.

I sip my coffee and ignored his rants. Napansin kong mas lalong dumami yung tao sa coffee shop, mostly babae. Hindi na lang pinansin nung beast yung mga bulungan nila.

"Lumapit ka na girl!"

"Magpapicture ka na dali! Ang gwapo!"

"Baka girlfriend nya yung kasama nya"

"Eh ano naman? Di yan girlfriend baka friend lang"

The beast took a sip from his cup, wala na syang kakainin dahil kinain ko na yung sandwich nya. I took a slice of my pie and ate it then I sliced again at nilapit ko yung sa bibig ng beast. I don't mind indirect kisses though.

"Say 'aaahh'" I said and tried to make it sound sweet.

He glared at me but then kinain din nya yung pie, ang dami pang arte!

"Masarap" he said then kinuha yung plate ko as well as my fork and he started eating my apple pie!

I stared at him in awe. Damn it! That's mine! He should've ordered for himself!

May napansin akong brochure ng mga tourist spots in Baguio, kinuha ko yun then binasa. Gusto kong puntahan lahat ng tourist spots!

Binaba ko yung brochure at tinignan ko yung beast. He is staring at the window while holding his cup. Naubos na nya yung pie?! Medyo naka side view sya, exposing his sharp jaw line and his pointy nose.

"Just ask me, if you want me to take pictures of you" I said as I fix my camera.

Hindi nya ako pinansin, he's still staring somewhere. Hinanap ko yung right angle nya then *Click...Click*

Tinignan ko yung shots and rolled my eyes. Mukha syang model ng kape! Though he really looked like a model in the picture. I heard him cleared his throat.

"Let me see" he command.

Inabot ko sa kanya yung camera ko then binalik din nya after makita.

"Isend mo yan sa akin sa Facebook" he said.

I rolled my eyes.

"I deactivated my account" I said.

I placed the brochure in front of the beast, his brows furrowed and gave me a questioning look.

"Gusto kong puntahan lahat yan" I said.

"Nandito tayo para sa project, hindi para mamasyal" he said.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Edi gawin na natin. Nasan na yung mga Igorot?" I asked.

He sighed and took a sip of coffee.

"Nasa Ifugao sila. 3 hours' drive from here" he said.

"Then what are we doing here? Bakit hindi tayo pumunta sa Ifugao?" I asked.

He sighed once again na para bang nauubusan na sya ng pasensya sa akin. He can't blame me! It's my first time here!

"Dahil wala tayong matutuluyan doon" he said.

"Then when are going there?" I asked.

Silence engulfs the atmosphere. Analyzing his facial expression, looks like he doesn't even know when! He doesn't have a plan about our project!

"We entered a war without bringing any sword. Tell me, wala ka talagang plano ano?" I asked.

He nodded. Great, just great! Sumandal ako sa upuan ako.

We can't have an interview without questions, most probably the beast didn't prepared one and so am i. Based on my research the Igorot tribe has its own language, I'm sure most of them doesn't understand tagalog—there's a language barrier so we can't interview them. Ms. Chaves said that we have to be creative.

"Vlog" I said.

"What?" he asked.

"Why don't we create a video blog about their daily works, mas maganda kung tayo pa mismo ang gagawa nun or we can join them in their works" I suggested.

Napasandal din sya sa upuan nya probably nagiisip.

"I don't think we can finish it within a day" he said.

"We can" I said filled with confidence.

He glanced at me.

"Kailan tayo aalis dito?" he asked.

"Bukas ng madaling araw" I answered.

He raised his brows and smirked at me.

"At anong gagawin natin ngayon?" he asked.

Damn it! Ang daming tanong!

"Maghahanap ng hotel then mamasyal, kung ayaw mong sumama, you can stay in the hotel" I said.

"Hindi natin matatapos yung vlog bukas" he said.

Napaka negative naman nito!

"We can finish it tomorrow, trust me" I said sincerely.

Napayuko sya at napatingin sa kamay kong nakapatong sa kamay nya. I quickly removed my hands and got up from my seat then lumabas na.

I stretched my arms out wide and mentally cursing myself for placing my hands on top of his'!

"San tayo unang pupunta?" he asked.

I glanced at him, nakatingin sya sa malayo then I smiled. Maybe we can find a hotel later; I really want to visit the tourist spots.

"Gusto ko sa Mines View" I said.

He's playing with his car keys, he got this annoyed expression. Tsh! Nakakasira ng araw yung mukha nya! I took the keys and walked away from him.

"Hey!" he said.

Blah...blah...blah whatever. Sumakay na ako sa drivers' seat then later on sumakay na din sya sa passenger seat, medyo natagalan dahil may ibang nagpapicture sa kanya.

"Tsk!"

I'm staring at the steering wheel and I'm about to start the engine but then a question came up on my mind.

"Where's the Mines View?" I asked. It's my first time here so technically, i really don't know where's the mines view or even the other tourist spots.

The beast groaned in frustration at padabog na bumaba ng sasakyan. He walk towards my direction and opened the car door for me.

"Get out" he commanded.

I mentally rolled my eyes then bumaba na ako at lumipat sa passenger seat.

"Baka maligaw pa tayo pag ikaw ang nagdrive" he said.

I opened the windows and allow the wind to mess my hair. It would have been great if we used a convertible car. Tsh!

I took pictures while the beast is busy driving, then i faced him and took a picture of him.

"Ano ba?!" inis na sabi nya.

Why so grumpy?

I inhaled the fresh air and exhale all of the bullsht that I have faced this morning, though it's still morning but it felt like my day is ruined just because of the witch's presence. I opened my eyes then nakita ko yung Empire Hotel, it's made of glass showcasing the view of the city. I wonder if the president is here.

After minutes of driving, nakarating na rin kami sa Mines view. Dinala ko lang yung camera, phone and wallet ko then bumaba na kami sa sasakyan.

"Eto na yun?" I asked.

Puro tindahan ang nakikita ko, may pagkain, souvenirs, shirts and many more.

"Of course not, papasok pa tayo dun" he said then he pointed the entrance.

As we walk towards the entrance, I saw something that caught my attention.

"Magkano 'to?" I asked the little girl.

She smiled at me.

"Yung maliit, 500 tapos yung malaki 700" she said.

I smiled at her.

"Kukunin ko yung malaki" I said then I handed a thousand peso bill.

"Maaga pa po, kaya wala akong panukli" she said.

I was about to say that she can keep the change but then bigla nya akong inabutan ng limang arrow.

"Pasensya na po, eto na lang po yung sukli nyo" she said.

I smiled at her and patted her head.

Lumingon ako but the beast is nowhere to be found. Great! Pumasok ako sa entrance and I was surprise to see more stores and people. Tsh! Too crowded but who cares? I like it here!

Someone grabbed my arm and it's the beast.

"Ano yan?" he asked.

"A Bow and arrows" I answered.

His forehead creased.

"Anong gagawin mo dyan?" he asked.

"Kakainin ko" bored na sagot ko.

What a dumb question! Tsh! Nauna na akong maglakad until I reached the end, marami ng tao sa part na 'to dahil ito na talaga yung mines view. There are couples around me and I'm holding a bow and the set of arrows are on my back with its wooded case, should I shoot them?

"Wow" I said.

I took pictures of the scenery, I even used the telescope pero wala akong nakita puro puno lang, I felt like I've wasted my 10 peso coin.

I scanned the whole area at nakita ko yung beast nakaupo lang at mukhang bored na bored. Everyone was eyeing on him, some of them are taking pictures. Well, I can't blame them, the beast has the looks.

I stole a picture of him from different views. Tinignan ko yung shots ko, I was hoping to see an ugly picture of him but then I got none. Mukha syang model plus I'm a very good photographer, so the shots are perfect. Tsh!

I can see that he's very annoyed with the people around him, he noticed the group of girls who are taking pictures of him kaya bigla syang nagsuot ng shades at tumalikod sa kanila. If he was thinking that his shades would help to hide his face, he's damn wrong! It just made him even more attractive.

I shook my head at that thought. Did I just think that the beast is attractive?!

I took pictures again, then nahagip ng camera ko yung beast. Nakayuko sya, is he sleeping? I walk towards him as I take his pictures but then someone just grabbed my butt!

I immediately faced that jerk, nakatakilod sya sa akin. At first hinayaan ko muna baka kasi nagkamali ako. I acted like nothing happened but then naulit ulit, he touched my freaking butt!

I grabbed his hands and twisted it. I automatically, grab an arrow from the wooded case and I aim it on his neck. Napatingala sya at naging maputla.

"It's you" I said as I twist his hands.

"AHHH! ARAY!"

*Clyde's POV*

Napamulat ako ng makarinig ako ng sigaw. My jaw dropped when I saw the devil was holding her arrow at nakatutok yun sa leeg ng lalake.

"Mielle!" I said.

"Is my butt worth touching?" she asked the man coldly.

Takot na takot na yung lalake at namumutla na. I can see anger in her eyes, napatingin naman ako sa paligid at lahat nakatingin na samin! Damn! We're creating a commotion here!

"Devil stop" I whispered as I about to hold her shoulders pero iniwasan nya lang yung kamay ko.

"Parang gusto kong malaman kung matalas ang arrow na to. Should I try it to you?" she asked.

Damn!

"S-Sorry n-na" the man said.

"Mielle, tara na" I said.

Binitawan nya yung arrow at nakahinga naman ng maluwag yung lalake though may sugat na yung leeg nya.

The devil twisted the man's arm, napasigaw na naman sya sa sakit. May dumating na guard ng Mines view.

"Ano pong nangyayari dito?" he asked.

"Throw this jerk out of this place before I throw him into the darkest pits of Hell" she said in a cold tone filled with authority.

*bogsh*

Bago nya binitawan yung lalake, sinikmuraan nya muna ito causing him to spit blood. Ganon sya kalakas sumuntok!?

Tinalikuran nya ako and bigla na lang tumabi yung mga tao sa daraanan ng devil then she made her way out of the place.

"How the hell did she?" I asked.

Pinulot ko yung arrow sa sahig then sinundan yung devil. Mabagal lang yung lakad nya kaya naabutan ko pa. Hindi ko naman alam kung anong gagawin ko. Should I talk to her? Or not? nakakatakot eh.

Biglang nawala yung inis ko kanina dahil sa devil na 'to, napalitan ng takot. Mamaya isaksak nya sa akin yung arrow baka biglang mawalan ng gwapong leading man yung story na 'to. Damn it sayang ako!

May kalayuan pa kami sa sasakyan pero binuksan ko na yung lock ng pinto para makapasok na yung devil. She immediately enter the passenger seat habang ako naman nagdadalawang isip pa kung sasakay ba ako or dito na lang ako sa labas.

"On second thought, baka mas lalo syang magalit" I said to myself.

Deafening silence filled the corners of my car. Napalunok ako dahil nakita kong, she has no expression on her face but her fist was already clenched as if she's ready to punch someone.

Now what? Kakausapin ko ba? Aalis na ba kami? Saan kami pupunta?

She sighed.

"Take me to a shooting range" she said.

What?! SHOOTING RANGE!?

Napatulala na lang ako sa manibela but then she glanced at me kaya mabilis kong inistart yung sasakyan at umalis na. Damn it! Bakit ba takot na takot ako?!

Buti na lang may alam akong shooting range dito dahil madalas si dad doon pag nagpupunta dito. I drove fast papuntang Prime Hillls shooting range. Medyo nasa labas na sya ng city pero hindi naman ganoon kalayo kaya nakarating agad kami.

Hindi pa ako nakakapag park na maayos pero bumaba na agad sya. Iniwan nya yung pana nya, teka may dala ba syang pera?

Sumunod agad ako sa kanya pero wala na sya sa front desk. Nakapagbayad na sya?

"Ah Miss, nasan na yung babae kanina? Yung gray yung buhok" I asked.

She smiled at me.

"Ah sir, pumasok na po sa loob. Sumunod na lang po kayo" she said.

I nodded then pumasok na. Nakita ko yung devil may kasamang lalaking assistant.

"Hey" I said pero parang wala syang narinig, nilingon ako ng lalake at nung makalapit na ako nakita kong nanginginig sya sa takot?

What the hell!?

Sinuot na nung devil yung earmuffs pati yung shooting glasses. Kumuha agad ako ng earmuffs at sinuot yun, umalis na yung lalake nung kinuha na nung devil yung baril.

*BANG.BANG.BANG.BANG.BANG*

She reloaded the gun again and aimed for the target. I didn't know she good at it, akala ko sa archery lang. I took my camera and I took a photo of her. Akala ba nya hindi ko alam na kinukuhanan nya ako ng picture kanina?

After ilang rounds tumigil na din yung devil, tinanggal na nya yung mga gears then she walk towards me at naupo sa tabi ko.

Napasandal sya sa upuan habang nakapikit. That's when I noticed that she has a very long lashes, pointed nose, rosy cheeks and a thin pinkish lips. She's indeed beautiful.

"Take a picture, it last long" she said.

Napaiwas ako ng tingin, paano nya nalamang nakatingin ako sa kanya? Tsk! Natahimik kami then she sighed.

"That wasn't the first time. Tell me, kabastos-bastos ba ako?" she asked.

Nagulat ako sa tanong nya.

"Don't I deserve to be respected?" she added.

Naalala ko na naman yung training camp namin, nabastos din sya dun. Tsk! Those rookies!

"You do deserve" I said.

"Then bakit nababastos ako?" she asked.

I don't know what to say. Tinignan ko yung suot nya, she's wearing a sweatpants and a hoodie, balot na balot nga sya eh.

"Just forget it" I said.

Napalingon sya sa akin, naiilang ako so I didn't face her. She sighed again.

"I won't let that happen again" I said.

Awkward silence~~

What on earth did I said?!

What was I thinking?!

Bigla na lang akong tumayo, it so damn awkward! Dumating naman yung lalaking nagaassist sa kanya kanina at inabot sa devil yung papel na target na ginamit nya. The devil just left the paper target on my seat at hindi man lang tinignan. Tumayo na sya at lumabas. Kinuha ko naman yung papel at isa isang tinignan.

Lahat ng paper target ay tinamaan sa bull's-eye, yung ibang shots naman malapit sa bull's-eye, then there's this one paper target na isa lang yung butas.

"Nagsayang sya ng target, isang bala lang yung ginamit. Tsk!" I said to myself. Ang alam ko mahal ang bayad dito per paper target tapos isang bala lang ginamit nya dito.

"Ah sir" napalingon ako sa lalake, nandito pa pala sya?

"Bakit?" I asked.

"Limang bala po yung dumaan sa iisang butas—bull's-eye" he said then he left me dumbfounded.

Napatingin ulit ako sa target, most especially sa bull's-eye. So that explains why the hole is bigger than the others. Five bullets passed through the same hole. What the hell?! Ano ba sya? some sort of assassin in some mafia? Or anak sya ni Deadshot sa suicide squad? How did she manage to shoot that?!

*rings...rings*

Devil Calling...

"Time is running" she said then she ended the call.

Lumabas na ako at naabutan ko syang nakasandal sa pintuan ng sasakyan ko. I clicked the car keys and then she immediately entered my car. Sumunod na ako, I was expecting a cold atmosphere inside the car pero wala na.

"Sorry about that sudden outburst" she said.

I glanced at her.

"Who are you?" I asked.

Napalingon naman sya sa akin, wearing no expression at all.

"Pardon?" she asked.

Napasandal naman ako sa pintuan, why do I feel like I'm in danger with this devil?

"Assassin ka ba?" I asked. I know it's a stupid question, pero wala namang masama kung magtatanong ako!

Silence filled the corners of my car but then nawala din nung tumawa sya.

"Hahahahahaha"

What the hell? I stared at her while she's laughing non-stop, nakahawak na sya sa tyan nya habang tumatawa.

"Damn! Where did you get that stupid idea?" she asked habang natatawa.

Hindi pa rin sya matigil sa pagtawa. So this is how she looked like when she's laughing? Iniwas ko yung tingin ko sa kanya. I just witnessed a devil laughed. I thought it will be scary, I didn't expect that it was beautiful.

"Hahaha geez, ngayon lang ulit ako nakatawa ng ganon" she said habang hinihingal pa.

So hindi sya assassin? Safe ako. You can't blame me? I know she can defend herself using her mixed martial arts and boxing skills then her sports is archery then I just knew that she's a sharp shooter. Really, she can be an assassin.

"I'm not an assassin. Maybe you should see Alexandrei in a shooting range baka maisip mong isa syang mafia boss" she said then natawa na naman.

Pati si Drei? Damn it pinagtitripan ako ng devil na 'to. Eh mukhang mas bagay pa sa kanya maging mafia boss compared to Drei. Tsk!

"Where to?" I asked nung matigil sya sa pagtawa.

"Thank you for making me laugh" she said sincerely.

Nilingon ko sya, she's back to her expressionless face but at least her eyes seems to be lively than normal.

"Saan tayo pupunta?" I asked.

"Kahit saan" she said I glanced at her, she's smiling.

Nilingon nya ako then she frowned.

"Why are you smiling like an idiot?" she asked.

I frowned. Me, Smiling? Hahahaha never.

"Yes you are, there's a goofy smile on that face of yours" she said then tumingin na sa harap.

Am I really smiling? Damn! What's gotten into me? I shook my head and started driving. Dadalhin ko na lang sya sa Wright Park.

"Are you interested in horseback riding?" I asked as I park my car.

She nodded then bumaba na sya sa sasakyan dala yung pana nya. Nauna na syang pumasok sa loob habang ako naiwan dahil kukunin ko pa yung camera ko. Pumasok na rin ako sa loob, nagulat pa ako nung makitang walang masyadong tao.

Lumapit ako sa caretaker ng mga kabayo. I was surprised to see a girl, I think she has the same age as mine. Sya yung caretaker? Nakatingin lang sya sa devil habang tinitignan yung mga kabayo. Ngayon lang ba nakakita ng kabayo yung devil?!

"Excuse me, Magkano yung horseback riding fee?" I asked.

Nilingon ako nung babae at napangiti. My forehead creased dahil sa pananamit nya. Damn sakit ko na yata yung pagtingin sa mga suot ng mga tao na nakakausap ko. She wears a boyish outfit though she's really pretty.

"250 lang sir, isang oras na" sagot nya.

I fished a five hundred peso bill from my pocket at binigay yun sa kanya.

"Dalawa and paki-assist naman yung kasama ko" I said.

She nodded.

"Pili ka na po ng kabayo" she said then she motioned me to follow her. Bigla syang natigilan habang nakatingin sya sa devil na hawak hawak yung mukha nung kabayo.

She chuckled at napailing pa.

"Unbelievable, napaamo nya ng ganon kabilis si Silver" she said probably referring to the gray horse na hawak nung devil.

Tinuro ko yung itim na kabayo at nilabas naman nya yun, nagulat na lang kami pareho ng makitang nakalabas na yung Silver na kabayo. Nakatingin yung devil sa mukha ng kabayo while wearing a smile on her face.

I took a picture of her and the next thing I knew, nakalapat na yung noo nya sa mukha ng kabayo. What the hell?! I managed to capture what she's doing.

"She really does have a heart to horses. Si Silver yung pinakamailap na kabayo dito pero nagawa nyang hawakan at palabasin sa kulungan" she said habang hawak yung kabayong itim.

Inabot nya sa akin yung tali, sumakay na ako sa kabayo.

"Paki-assist naman sya" I said.

Umiling sya.

"I don't think she needs one" she said tapos nginuso ang devil na nakasakay na sa kabayo at pinatakbo ng mabilis palayo sa amin.

Damn that devil! Lagot ako kay Drei pag may nangyaring masama dun.

"Mukhang marunong naman yung girlfriend nyo, sundan mo na lang" she said.

"She's not my girlfriend" I said.

"That's good to hear" she said habang tumatango ng nakangiti. What does she mean?

Sinundan ko na yung devil, medyo may kalayuan sya sa akin pero sapat na yun para makita yung ginagawa nya. My jaw almost dropped as I saw what she's doing.

"Devil!" I shouted.

Is she out of her mind?! She's shooting arrows while riding a horse and her target are the tress around the park. Mabilis ang takbo ng kabayo nya, baka malaglag sya knowing na hindi sya nakakapit. Pinatakbo ko din ng mabilis yung kabayo ko para maabutan ko sya.

"Are you crazy?!" I asked.

Hindi nya ako pinansin, she just aimed the arrow ahead of us then she released at tumama yun sa butas ng puno. Mas binilisan pa nya yung pagpapatakbo kay Silver, she's still shooting her arrows though. She aimed her arrow once again then nirelease nya pero hindi yun tumama sa puno dahil may isang pang arrow na tumama sa arrow ng devil.

Pinatigil ko yung kabayo ko sa pagtakbo and as well as the devil.

"Who did that?" she asked.

"I did"

Napalingon kami sa kanya. The caretaker, nakasakay din sya sa itim na kabayo. Pinalakad ng devil si Silver papalapit sa amin.

"Bawal ba?" she asked.

Umiling yung caretaker.

"Pwede naman, gusto ko lang talagang patamaan yung arrow mo" she answered.

The devil raised her brows at the caretaker.

"Don't you think it's rude? Hitting my arrow just because you felt like to?" she asked. Natawa yung caretaker sa kanya.

The devil is getting pissed once again. She shot a glare at the caretaker, the latter raised both of her arms in surrender while smirking.

"Pasensya na ngayon lang ako nakakita ng kagaya kong magaling sa Archery" the caretaker said.

"Don't you ever compare me to you. You don't know me" the devil said in her cold tone.

Malamig na nga sa Baguio mas pinalamig pa nung devil na 'to. tsk!

"Mielle" I said in a warning tone.

"Why don't we have a friendly competition?" tanong nung caretaker.

"For what?" naguguluhang tanong ko.

"Game" the devil said.

Pinalakad na ulit nya si Silver, sumunod naman ako sa kanya at sumunod naman sa amin yung babae.

"Anong kalokohan ang gagawin nyo?" I asked.

"Archery" sagot ng babae.

"She just want to see herself lose" the devil said.

Natawa lang yung babae sa kanya at pinatakbo ng mabilis yung kabayo nya, sumunod naman yung devil so no choice ako kundi sumunod na lang sa kanila.

We stopped sa may mapunong part ng park. Nakababa na silang pareho sa kabayo and they are about to start their friendly competition.

"So what's prize?" the girl asked.

Tahimik lang yung devil na para bang nagiisip ng prize.

"Let me decide on that. Pag nanalo ako, I'll have a dinner date with him on your expense" she said. Ako ba yung tinutukoy nya?

"Ah gusto kong magdinner sa Empire Hotel, might as well let us stay there for a night" dagdag nya.

The devil just smirked at her.

Why does she want me to stay with her for a night!? At sa hotel pa! What the hell?!

"And what will I get if I win?" the devil asked.

"You can have a dinner date with him on my expense and I will let you stay on my cousin's lodge" she said.

"Deal" the devil said.

Then they started the game and I on the other side, has no idea on what they are doing. May mga target sa may puno, there's a red dot on each tree and their goal is to hit the bull's eye. Both of them did a great job, pareho nilang natamaan yung bull's eye without sweating at all.

"Let's add more thrill" the girl said.

Naglabas sya ng panyo at piniring yun sa mata ng devil. Sumilip ng isang beses yung devil at binalik ulit yung panyo, she took an arrow, placed it on the bow and aimed for the target then she released, surprisingly she hit the bull's eye.

"Woah!" the girl said.

Piniringan naman sya ng devil likewise, she did the same thing like the devil did and tumama din yun sa bull's eye.

"There's no thrill at all" the devil said.

"Hindi tayo matatapos dito" the girl added.

The devil took three arrows and placed it on her bow, she took a deep breath as she pull the string then she released the arrows.

"Sht" the girl said.

Well that's what I'm about to say. Sht it is! The three arrows hit the three different bull's eye at the same time. Kung kanina I was thinking if she's the daughter of Deadshot now I'm confused I think she's the daughter of Hawkeye in Avengers.

"I won" the devil said.

"Pinagaaralan ko pa lang yun! That was incredible!" the girl said.

"Practice, practice and more practice. Soon you'll learn that trick" the devil said.

Napatango naman yung babae sa kanya.

"My name is Chantal" the girl said. So ngayon nya lang naisip na magpakilala? Hilarious!

"My name is Mielle and this one is Clyde" the devil said.

May kinuha naman si Chantal sa bulsa nya at binigay nya yun kay devil.

"It's the lodge's key. I lose" she said.

Binalik naman nung devil kay Chantal yung susi.

"I did not compete with you in the first place dahil alam kong talo ka na" the devil said.

Parang nilipad ng hangin nya yung buhok ko. Damn! May tinatagong kayabangan pala tong devil na to!

"You're so cool, una napaamo mo si Silver then this, sobrang galing mo sa archery" Chantal said.

"I like Silver, better take care of him. He's a great horse" the devil said.

We return to the stables and we bid our goodbyes, iilang arrows na lang yung natira sa devil. I wonder where she learned those things. Hindi ko ineexpect na marunong sya ng mga yun, I mean she looked like a typical girl to me, I guess I'm wrong.

"I want to take him home" napalingon ako sa devil na 'to.

Who? Yung kabayo?

Hindi ko na sya pinansin at sumakay na lang kami sa sasakyan, we ate our lunch at the mall. Nagpunta kami sa Bookstore at bumili sya ng mga libro, nagpunta kaming Burnham Park, muntik na akong mahulog sa Bangka. She even asked me if we can go to the White house, that place was haunted, she also wants to go to the haunted hotel but then I refused, hindi ako baliw para magpunta sa lugar na yun. She took a lot of pictures of me and so I did the same to her.

I admit, though she's bratty, cold and annoying I enjoyed her company. Hindi man nakikita sa mukha nya, nakikita naman sa mata nya na she's enjoying the place. Minsan nahuhuli ko syang nakasmile out of nowhere. Mag-gagabi na nung nagaya na yung devil na maghanap ng hotel.

"Ngayon mo lang naisip yan kung kailan madilim na" I said.

She rolled her eyes at me then she ate her steak. We're actually having our dinner in a restaurant here. Puro na lang kain ang ginawa namin bukod sa pamamasyal, she eats too much for a girl, Unbelievable.

*Rings...rings*

"Amanda" the devil greeted on her phone.

The tone of her voice sends chills down to my spine. Bakit ganon sya kaseryoso kung makipagusap? Her face is back to being emotionless and her brows almost meet in the middle!

"Send it to my email, now" she said filled with authority. Tumango tango sya then she took a deep breath; she must be trying to calm herself.

"That witch—call me pag nakaalis na sya" she said then she ended the call.

Sinong witch? Sino yung kausap nya? What's with the sudden change of mood? Bigla syang naging seryoso at parang malalim ang iniisip.

"Sino yun?" I asked.

"None of your business" I was taken aback because of her answer. It really sounds so rude, but I can't blame her, mukhang seryoso yung napagusapan nila.

We continue eating our dinner then lumabas na kami ng restaurant, sinalubong kami ng malamig na hangin and then I realized, hindi pa pala ako naliligo—hindi pa kami naliligo.

"Tara, may nalaman akong inn" she said.

Inn?

"I told you, dapat sa Empire Hotel na lang tayo" I said.

She shot a deadly glare at me.

"I told you, you can stay there if you want. Ayoko dun" she said.

Bakit ba ayaw nya sa Empire Hotel? Yeah I got her point na makakatipid kami kung hindi dun, why do I feel like it's something deeper? I mean parang ang laki ng galit nya sa Empire Hotel

Hindi na ako nakipagtalo sa kanya, hinanap na namin yung inn na sinasabi nya. She sighed several times mula nung umalis kami sa restaurant. Something's bothering her.

Then we stopped in front of Baguio Inn. Cool name, talagang pinagisipan ng mabuti. Bumaba na kami sa sasakyan dala yung mga gamit namin, we headed straight to the front desk. I scanned the whole area, mukha syang bahay, it looks cheap but it's fine by me as long as makakatulog ako ng maayos.

"Good Evening, Sir, Ma'am! Welcome to Baguio Inn" masiglang bati sa amin ng matandang babae.

"Kukuha kami ng dalawang kwarto. I don't mind kung magkalayo" the devil said.

Nakipagusap naman sa radio yung matanda, then she look at us with an apologetic eyes. This thing is really cliché.

"Let me guess, Isa lang yung available na kwarto dahil weekend ngayon at maraming turista kahit pa may pasok" the devil said.

Napatango tango yung matandang babae. I was about to leave but then the devil grab my arm.

"We'll take it" she said.

"Sige po, Ma'am. Ipapaayos ko na lang po. Yung pinakamalaking kwarto naman yung available" masayang sabi nung matanda.

I glared at the devil beside me pero parang wala lang sa kanya, naupo sya sa may sala kaharap ng front desk. Binigyan naman kami ng Hot chocolate nung matanda at naupo sa harap namin.

"Sa dami ng mga magkasintahan na nagpupunta dito, kayo yung pinakagwapo't maganda. Mga artista ba kayo?" tanong nung matanda.

"Hindi po at hindi rin po kami magkasintahan" the devil politely answered.

Napangiti naman yung matanda sa amin at hinampas ako sa hita. Naalala ko si manang sa kanya. I smiled.

"Bagay na bagay pa naman kayo" she said.

Hindi na kami sumagot nung devil at ininom na lang yung hot chocolate.

"Malayo po ba ang Ifugao dito?" the devil asked.

"Mga tatlo hanggang apat na oras ang byahe, teka pupunta ba kayo dun?" tanong nung matanda.

We nodded.

"Kung ganon, mas maganda kung magcocommute na lang kayo, hindi kakayanin ng sasakyan nyo yung lubak ng daan dun. Mukhang mamahalin, baka magasgasan lang yan" sabi ng matanda.

The devil glared at me. Why me? Hindi ko naman alam na malubak yung daan dun! Tsk!

"Ano pong sasakyan namin?" I asked.

"Jeep, sa terminal may jeep na bumabyahe papuntang Ifugao" she answered.

Jeep? Niloloko ba nya ako?

Dumating yung isang lalake at sinabing malinis na daw yung tutuluyan namin. Hinatid kami ng matanda at nagpaalam din agad para makapagpahinga kami.

I scanned the whole room, mukhang typical na kwarto with a king sized bed. I stop my gaze at the devil na nakaupo sa higaan.

"Maligo ka na" she said as she open her laptop.

I did what she said, nagdala na ako ng damit sa CR. Binilisan ko na lang yung pagligo ko para makaligo na din yung devil at para makatulog na kami, kanina pa ako inaantok. Nagtoothbrush na din ako then lumabas na sa CR.

Nakaupo pa rin yung devil sa higaan with a playful smirk on her lips. My forehead creased. Ano bang tinitignan nya sa laptop? Tumayo sya at kinuha yung mga damit nya.

"I told you, I'm not really good at catching" she whispered as she passed by.

I quickly walk towards the bed at tinignan yung laptop nya and I was surprised to see her face. Mata lang ang nakikita dahil nakatakip yung libro sa kalahati ng mukha nya, this shot was taken by me on the bookstore kanina, That's when I realized na camera ko pala yung nakaconnect sa laptop nya.

I check the other pictures, karamihan ay puro stolen shots ng devil. Did I actually took these pictures? Damn me!

"Maganda yung kuha mo"

Napaatras ako dahil sa devil na bigla bigla na lang bumubulong sa tenga ko! what the hell?! Ang bilis naman nyang maligo!

"You should see my shots too, mas maganda yung kuha ko" she said then inabot nya sa akin yung camera. I connected it on her laptop, puro pictures ko din yung nandun, mga stolen shots.

"We're even" I said.

"We're not, mas maganda yung kuha ko" she said which is true pero maganda din naman yung kuha ko! may blur effect pa nga sa background, may kuha din syang nililipad ng hangin yung buhok nya while she's on a horse then she's smiling like there's no tomorrow.

"You were trying to capture my smile" She said. Habang hawak nya yung camera ko. I don't know why pero parang bigla na lang akong kinabahan. My heart starts to beat in abnormal manner.

"Well congratulations you did it! So I'll take these" she said pero pinigilan ko sya nung kukunin na nya yung memory card. Why would i stop her?!

"W-Wala akong i-ibang memory card" I said. Why am I even stuttering?!

She nodded then nahiga na sya sa kama.

"Hey!" I said.

She raised her eyebrows at me.

"What?" she asked.

"Saan ako matutulog?" I asked.

"Sa sofa" she said.

What?!

"Ayoko dun! Mag bato-bato-pik tayo. Kung sino panalo, matutulog dito sa kama" I said.

She rolled her eyes at me.

"Mag-upload ka na lang ng pictures mo sa Facebook. Damn you're so vain!" she said.

"Inggit ka lang, gumaya ka kung gusto mo" I said, though alam kong nakadeactivate yung mga social media accounts nya.

"Hindi ako naiinggit and besides wala akong facebook" she said.

"Bakit kasi hindi ka mag-activate ulit? You know mas madali makipag communicate dun" I said.

She sighed. She's probably thinking about her haters. Tsk!

"I don't want attention" she said.

"Just don't mind them. Haters gonna hate" I said. Besides, I made sure na wala ng magpopost ng hate posts tungkol sa kanya.

She smiled at me, natigilan naman ako. Bigla nyang inagaw yung laptop sa akin at In-activate nya lahat ng accounts nya then binalik din sa akin.

"magbato bato pik na tayo para makatulog na ako" she said.

"Isang bagsak lang ah. Kung talo-talo na" I said.

"Wag mo akong dadayain" the devil said, then I froze. Those are the exact words of Lulu pag naglalaro kami ng bato-bato-pik noon sa hospital. I shook my head, nagkataon lang.

I faced her. Pareho kaming seryoso dahil pareho naming gusto manalo at matulog sa kama.

"Bato-Bato-Pik!"

"Talo ka!" I said.

She groaned in frustration at muntik pa nya akong sapakin, but in the end nagpunta sya sa sofa, dala yung isang unan.

"Gumising ka ng madaling araw" she commanded.

I just raised my thumbs up at pinatay na yung ilaw, naiwan naman yung lampshade sa tabi ng sofa na bukas. Humiga na ako sa higaan at binalot yung sarili ko sa comforter.

Hours have passed pero hindi pa rin ako makatulog! It's almost 10 in the evening, samantalang 8 pa lang nakahiga na ako sa higaan. Damn it! Umupo ako at nakita ko yung devil na tulog na tulog sa sofa. Nakabaluktot sya dahil medyo maliit yung sofa sa kanya dahil matangkad sya. I glanced at the bed, masyado syang malaki para sa akin, it won't kill me kung makakatabi ko man yung devil sa pagtulog.

Tumayo ako at pinuntahan yung devil sa sofa. She's sleeping like a baby while her mouth is slightly open and she's snoring! Pinigilan kong matawa, ang gandang babae pero nakanganga kung matulog at naghihilik pa! hahaha!

I gently carry her towards the bed at dahan-dahan din syang nilapag. Sinara ko na yung bibig nya baka kasi maglaway sya, that's gross! Binalot ko sya sa loob ng comforter and then I placed a pillow between us.

"Siguro naman makakatulog na ako" I whispered to myself.

I stared at her for a while, I removed the strands of her hair covering her face then I found myself leaning forward towards her face. I was an inch away from her face when I realized what I'm doing.

*dug.dug.dug.dug.dug*

Normal bang pagpawisan dito sa Baguio? Specifically in a room that's fully air-conditioned? I don't know kung gaano ako katagal sa position na nakalean forward sa kanya, I can't even pull myself away from her! Para syang magnet!

I gave her a peck on the forehead at humiga na ako.

Damn it! Should I visit a Cardiologist? I think there's an abnormality that's going on inside my heart.
