Chapter 13

nam seolhee.

I delicately leaned on the wall with my head bowed down. My scalp hurts since my hair has been pulled by Donggyu a lot. I couldn't count how many times he dragged me across the room while holding my hair only, how many times he left scars and bruises on me and how many times he kicked me like I wasn't even human and breathing.

I have purplish bruises and wounds planted on my legs, my arms and my cheeks. My back hurts a lot and I can't move very well.

I'm certainly not pretty now, No One.

Somehow, I convinced Donggyu to release me from the chair, but of course he's not dumb enough to not be secure with the ropes tied around me. This time, my hands were tied bt two longer ropes and were wrapped firmly around my wrists. The same thing goes with my legs.

The thing is he was stupid enough to tie my wrists together in front of me, where I could clearly see and memorize the order of how he ties me up.

Emotions hoard for a long time but I kept on assuring myself that it's okay. As long as he already got me out of the chair, I knew that it will be easier for me to escape.

I cringed at the sound of Donggyu's laugh at this moment. My whole body was throbbing in excruciating pain and I almost couldn't feel my back. I feel half-dead but I knew that I shouldn't act this frail around him, it will make him pleased seeing me like this.

"So, haven't changed your mind yet, babe?" He said. I recoiled at the sound of him calling me a disgustingly overused endearment. "It's easy, you know. I just want you to stay with me just like what we promised." He continued.

I bit my lip and slowly raised my head to look at him who's standing in front of me. "Is this all you can do, oppa?" I mockingly said in front of him, smiling mischievously only to add fuel to the fire.

"I mean, you've enumerated things you can do to me didn't you? Aren't you going to starve me, point a gun to my head or strangle me? Come on, show me what all you men can do to a woman." I said, trying to maintain a stable voice.

I want to puzzle him for a bit and make him think that he isn't affecting me. And then after that, he could start thinking of ways of what more horrifying things he could do to me.

I continued to watch the angered expression painted on his face because of my retort, it seems like it's kinda working. I really have no idea.

He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by something ringing, finding out that it was the house phone.

I completely diverted my gaze towards the landline on the table as it continued to ring loudly, and then diverted my gaze towards to him. He gave me a short look for a moment and cursed loudly in frustration, walking towards the landline to pick up and answer the call.

His back was completely faced at me and I figured out that this was my chance. My gaze dropped on my wrists and began to observe the ropes wrapped around them. It's a figure eight knot, and it was easy for me to release myself from it.

I used all my arm strength to distance my two arms from each other so I could fiddle freely with the ropes and slip them out.

Whilst fumbling with my wrists, I occasionally look up to check if he's done with his call or not and it always turns out he that he isn't. After a minute, the rope suddenly felt lose around my wrists, and that's when he ends the call.

"Fuck fuck fuck." I heard him curse under his breath, subsequently turning around to look at me. I clenched my fists tight connected my two wrists together, making it look like the rope was still tight on me.

"Sorry, princess, I need to go." He gave me a smirk and walked towards my direction, then leaning on one knee once he stepped in front of me. I slowly stepped back once I laid my eyes on the semi-wet cloth that's on his hand. A thought appeared in my mind saying that he's going to do the same thing that made me unconscious hours earlier.

He then started to press the cloth on my nose, but this time I held my breath and didn't inhale it.

I then slowly closed my eyes shut and dropped my body backwards as if I was weightless, pretending that I fell unconscious.

He let out a small chuckle and said, "I can't wait to come back after this." The next thing I heard was his footsteps walking away and the front door faintly closing shut. By the time he left me, I knew what I'm going to do next.

It was my cue to escape.

third person.

"Aaaah~ My stomach's so heavy. We could've saved Seolhee right away if mom didn't call us and demanded us to go home! And now we have to lie to her that we have to go back to school to finish up some projects. Aish, really?" Jaeyong complained to his sister.

"Shut up, I thought of something." Jinshil told him, his attention turning to her right away.

"Listen Jaeyong, so here's the plan. I would like you to distract the receptionist while I make my way to the principal's office. Just like what you've heard, if Donggyu's going to bring Seolhee to his house, then I might as well sneak my way to the students' information in the principal's drawers." Jinshil explained thoroughly to her brother who was listening carefully.

Jaeyong nodded, "Okay..? How about if Donggyu isn't taking Seolhee to his place? And there's the police! We could get caught, Jinshil. It's too risky. If we both fuck up, we'll go to prison." He then said, checking all the possibilities.

Jinshil shook her head. "Don't worry about that. If you do it right, nothing like that would happen. Just follow me. It's most possible. You told me that Donggyu clearly said that he'll take her to his place right? So follow me, okay?" She ordered.

Jaeyong just sighed. "Alright alright, but let me tell you that it isn't easy to distract the receptionist just to get you some access to the office." After that, they both walked to the front building.

They entered inside without hesitation and the receptionist was the first person they saw. Jinshil pushed Jaeyong to her, and the woman on the counter just raised her eyebrow at Jaeyong who gave her a sheepish smile.

The moment Jaeyong starts talking randomly to the woman, Jinshil quietly ducked down and slowly walked her way to the office, not making any sound.

She stopped by the principal's door, noticing that the lights inside the office were off and found out that the door was locked.

"Crap." She muttered. She started to think of ideas on how to open the locked door, and after a few minutes she found out that she could use the bobby pin she's wearing that was pinned across her fringe.

She quickly got the hairpin from her fringe and pushed it inside the keyhole, jerking up and down and side to side, trying to find her luck. Her eyes widened in surprise after seeing that the hairpin plan was successful, allowing her to open the door.

She entered the empty office and switched on the lights.

Jinshil was surprised to find out that all the cabinets' drawers in the office were pulled out and students' files and information papers were visible.

What the hell is happening?, she thought in confusion, but what caught her eye is a file of a certain student lying on the floor.

Jinshil immediately leaned down and picked up the file. She then saw that it was Park Donggyu's bio-data and she confirmed to herself that it was the guy hurting Seolhee from before, according to his photo attached on the upper right corner.

Why is his bio-data lying in here? Jinshil thought, Did someone try to find where he is?

Confused for a moment, the first person that came to her mind was Jungkook.

She quickly got her phone out of her pocket and hurriedly dialed Jungkook's number. He immediately picked up the call and said hello and it seemed to Jinshil that he was riding his bike while he was talking to her.

"Jungkook? Tell me right now, are you at home or not?" She nervously asked Jungkook who took seconds to reply after hearing her talk.

[No. Jinshil, I'm riding on my bike now. If you want to talk to me, do so later. This is really important! I need to save someone.] Jungkook quickly said on the other line, pedalling with extreme speed.

"Jungkook.." Jinshil breathed, tears of jealousy brimming in her eyes. She couldn't help but think that Jungkook's going to save the tortured girl he met a few days ago.

"Are you going to save Seolhee? Are you in Hye-ok street right now? That's where Donggyu lives right? Answer me please."

(A/n: i made that street up. if it's real please disregard it hahaha)

It came to her mind that Jungkook also snook in the principal's office for Donggyu's address to get to where Seolhee is right now. And maybe left with the door getting locked in the inside that's why it was locked when she tried entering the first time.

Jungkook then turned silent because of his girlfriend's tone, he stopped pedalling that moment.

[Truthfully.. Yes, I am saving her. I'm actually on the way there. I needed to, I'm really sorry.] Jungkook honestly said because he knew that he couldn't lie to her.

That moment, Jinshil's heart crushed into pieces and tears streamed down her eyes unknowingly. Jinshil then realized that her plan of saving Seolhee was pointless since her boyfriend is going to save Seolhee anyway.

"K..Keep going." Jinshil started, trying not to snifle on the other line so that Jungkook won't be too concered about her. "Make sure that Seolhee's safe, Jungkook."
