bonding
After taking both Jimin and Namjoon back to their own respective homes, Jin and Hee-yong retreated back to Hee-yong's apartment. The siblings kicked their shoes off in the entryway and slouched into the apartment.
"I'm staying here tonight," Jin announced as he plopped onto Hee-yong's couch. His sister rolled her eyes with a smile on her face.
"So, I'm kinda hungry," Hee-yong said just before her stomach let loose a loud growl. Jin sat up, laughing maniacally. He teased, "you don't say." Hee-yong cursed at the older male, and retrieved her phone from the pocket of her jeans.
"Panda Express?" She asked. Jin mulled over the thought and said,
"I want lobster." Hee-yong scowled at Jin.
"Does Panda Express even offer lobster?" She asked. Jin, lazily flopped back into the couch and shrugged. Hee-yong rubbed her forehead and sighed.
"Aish," she mumbled and began searching for the number to the restaurant.
After placing the order, she informed her brother she was going to go shower and told him to keep an ear out for the delivery person. Jin waved Hee-yong off and insisted he would take care of it. Hee-yong scurried away to take a much needed shower.
Jin laid on the couch, silently staring at the ceiling. He was bored. He sighed over dramatically and rolled himself off the couch.
"What does a man have to do to have some fun around here?" He asked no one in particular. Jin reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone and searched for a specific contact name.
Seokjin: hey wyd
Joon: eating why?
Seokjin: I'm bored
Joon: aren't u with ur sister?
Seokjin: she's showering and I'm waiting on food. She has nothing to do in this tiny apartment 😭
Joon: ur a drama queen, doesn't she have a PlayStation
Seokjin: ya but I'm bad at games
Joon: you got no jams
Seokjin: what! I have jams. Jimin is the one who doesn't have jams, don't attack me. >:((
Joon: okay okay sorry. But ur right, I don't think Jimin has jams.
Seokjin: I was joking but u right.
Seokjin: hey what color is a burger?
Joon: uhhh idk, brown?
Seokjin: .....
Seokjin: burgundy
Joon: bye Jin
Seokjin: what why!
There was suddenly a knock on the door, halting Jin's actions as he began to spam Namjoon's phone. He sighed as he placed his phone down and stood up. Jin's back popped as he stretched and strode over to the door. When he pulled it open, he was greeted by a friendly, familiar face.
"I have an order for Kim Hee-yong," the delivery boy said, not yet looking up at the person who answered the door.
"Taehyung, you little rascal!" Jin exclaimed. Taehyung's eyes snapped up at his name, and he smiled widely when he saw who had spoken.
"Kim Seokjin, fancy meeting you here," he said with his boxy smile on display. Jin took the food from Taehyung's hands and pulled the boy into a brotherly hug.
"Since when do you work at Panda Express?" Jin asked. Taehyung giggled and straightened his uniform.
"Since I fell in love with their food. I get discounts," he bragged. Jin laughed loudly and mumbled about how lucky Taehyung was. It was at this moment, Hee-yong had decided to step out of the bathroom in a towel, her face looking absolutely pissed.
"Kim Seokjin, can't you hear me calling you?" She yelled.
"I forgot my stinking clothes in my room, and I needed you to bring them to the bathroom so I wouldn't have to walk out in a towel, but you ignored me so lo and behold, I have to walk out here-" and then Hee-yong noticed the open door and the attractive male standing there in a panda express uniform. She gulped awkwardly and clutched the towel tighter around herself.
"H-hello," Hee-yong muttered. Taehyung was slightly blushing but he mumbled an awkward hello before hurriedly claiming he had other orders to deliver and running away. Hee-yong glared at Jin as he shut the door, smelling the food delightedly.
"Are you gonna get dressed or are you gonna be gross and stay in your towel all night? I might have nightmares if you choose the latter," Jin said, walking to the kitchen. Hee-yong growled and ran to her bedroom, eliciting a laugh from her brother.

Jin and Hee-yong watched a movie together as they ate, keeping the atmosphere light and content.
"Yongie?" Jin suddenly asked. Hee-yong glanced over at her brother and asked him what he needed. Jin had a strange look on his face, a look that only appeared if he was thinking really hard.
"Are you okay? I didn't push you too far today with Jimin, did I?" He asked. Hee-yong gulped, the memory of what happened earlier that day flashed in her mind.
"N-no, oppa. It's fine, really. I had a good time today," Hee-yong reassured the older sibling. Jin smiled at his sister, he always knew when she was lying and she wasn't right then. Jim felt satisfied with himself, his plans were well into place and soon enough, everything would be okay again. Despite the fact that he had chewed his sister and his best friend out for dating each other in the beginning, he really did love them being a couple. Jimin and Hee-yong were the kind of couple that complemented each other in almost every way possible. Jimin didn't like the cream between the Oreo cookies and Hee-yong didn't like the cookies, so Hee-yong could eat the cream and then give her cookies to Jimin, and they'd both be content. (That was a weird example but oh my God, it's relatable.)
Jin would never tell them but he had been extremely sad when they'd broken up. He noticed the way it affected Jimin and Hee-yong and he didn't like it. Jimin started drinking excessively and sleeping around with random girls, and to top it off, he stopped hanging out with their friend group for a long time, until they had convinced him he could still hangout with them. Hee-yong didn't eat a real meal for a really long time, and she began sleeping throughout the day and staying awake during the night, crying to herself in her room. She had lost a tremendous amount of weight in the first months that followed her split with Jimin, and it killed Jin to see it. Hee-yong had always been a girl with a big appetite, it ran in the family, really. So for her to just stop eating caused major problems in her body. She was hospitalized at one point when she went a week without eating anything. Jin and Hee-yong's parents thought Hee-yong had an eating disorder and forced her into a mental hospital. It was one of the scariest things the family had ever been through. Jin was torn in the beginning. He knew he probably shouldn't be friends with Jimin anymore after he broke his sister's heart, but their friendship was important to him and he found it hard to do, but he tried to forget about it and just cut him off until Hee-yong had confronted him about it.
"Jin, can I ask you something?" She had asked back then. Jin nodded, signalling for his sister to continue.
"How is Jimin?" She asked, worry laced in her tone. Jin gulped nervously as he watched his sister. "I wouldn't know, Yongie. I'm not his friend anymore," Jin admitted. Hee-yong's jaw dropped and she sputtered, "w-what, why?" Jin gave her knowing eyes.
"He broke my little sister's heart," Jin said. Hee-yong shook her head vigorously.
"Kim Seokjin, Jimin has been our best friend since infant days! You better be his friend," Hee-yong scolded. Jin shook his head as well and asked, "How could I be friends with him when he's hurt you so badly?" Hee-yong put her hand on her big brother's shoulder.
"Don't worry about that. I know you well enough to know you miss him. Please go to him, and tell me how he is when you get back," Hee-yong pleaded. Jin and Hee-yong stared at each other for a moment, trying to gauge each other's true feelings on the subject through their eyes and finally, Jin relented and went to his best friend.

After the movie ended, Hee-yong yawned loudly and stood up to stretch. She looked at Jin, who had dozed off on the couch. Hee-yong rolled her eyes and shook Jin's shoulder.
"Hey, wake up. I fixed the guest room up for you," Hee-yong said loudly in his ear. Jin groaned and stood up. He rubbed his eyes and asked, "how are you, baby sis? Do you want me to tuck you in?" Hee-yong smiled at her brother, who even in his sleepy state, was willing to tuck her into bed.
"No, I have to shower first. You go ahead and sleep, oppa," Hee-yong said and pushed Jin toward the guest room. He didn't put up a fight, but just stumbled toward the room. Hee-yong walked into her own room and sighed. She pulled off her shorts and got comfortable. She went searching for a new pair of clothes to sleep in when her eyes caught on the box. She bit her lip in thought as she looked at the pink box. She looked over to her desk, that was neatly organized, and made a choice in her head. She closed her closet, and sat down in her desk chair, grabbing a loose piece of paper and a pencil.
Dear Namjoon...
A/N: ha! The letter she writes will be in the next chapter, as this one was longer than the other chapters by far in terms of word count, so I didn't want to make it look too out of place. What do you think she's going to say to Namjoon?
