Dear Blue,

I like "Blue" seems to give you characteristic. I also joined the penpal thingy because I was lonely. Lets just say the bullies at school don't cut any slack... At all. I would love to join you in kindergarden, the place where you just had food, did some homework and could spell as messed up as you wanted, and sleep. Technically heaven. Hm you named about three facts about yourself, so I should probably do the same thing huh? Well im socially awkward, love music, and am allergic to dogs... And five pets is A LOT! How do you take care of them? Let me guess, you leave it up to your parents? I just let my little sister clean out the litter box while I play with the cat! Makes it easier on my life! So what are your hobbys? Mine are guitar (Well every instrument I can get my hands on really), song writing, and binge watching shows on Netflix..... Here in Canada theres a huge snow storm btw, im not sure if this letter will get to you in time but, hey at least the mail carrier tried! Excited to here from you soon!

Blaire looked up from her desk, her eyes were lit up by the lava lamp that sat in front of her. Past it she watched the thick sheets of snow layer up on the bushes below. Shawn also lived in Canada! Now happy he had written back to her, she eagerly pulled out her paper and pencil and began to write.

Dear Shawn,

I have to make up a nickname for you.. Whats your favorite food? Im sure that'll help. Mine are like.. Any baked pastry. Can you believe they had tomato cookies?! It killed me to see them like that... Why torture cookies this way?! Wha did they ever do to you! Anyways, I live in Canada too! This snow storm isn't a HUGE help, but im sure the postal carrier will be able to deliver it faster. And too bad that your allergic to dogs, you could've come over and hung out with my two dogs Leah and Suki! Okay heres a list of my pets and what they are.

Leah: 5 month old lab mix puppy

Suki: 6 month old Yorki

Rainbow: 3 year old Parrot (Who enjoys reading your letters btw... I think shes way to smart to be a bird to be honest)

Luna: 1 year old Raven... (I found her as a baby with a broken wing okay)

Cookie: 5 year old Calico Cat w/ patterns that make her look like a chocolate chip cookie

And yeah, that's about it! And im actually an only child.. Well, I have a half brother and step sister on my biological dads side, who im going to see this weekend so sorry if I don't respond... But I take care of the myself, and its pretty easy because I just let them all outside and they do there business outside so... Yeah. Anyways, I adore music! Which bands/singers do you listen to? Ive learned to play the piano... Self taught btw, im terrible! Hey maybe one day you could give me guitar classes, they sound fun! Ive written several songs, they just need a beat and stuff to them.. These bullies never know to quit do they? There always teasing me, that's actually where I got the nickname "Blue" from.. I gues it kinda stuck, I don't really have any other friends to change it so... Socially awkward buddys I guess! What shows do you watch on Netflix? Cause I have nothing to do during the week so I just watch all the shows I possibly can! Wow this letter was long.... Hope to hear from you soon!

Once again, Blaire raised her head, her eyes metting with soft brown ones suddenly. Her breathing seemed to hitch as he looked away; the boy next door, being the same boy from school, had been staring at her. He seemed to glance back before smiling at her and standing up, hastiliy leaving his room. She wondered what his name was, who he was, and why e would be staring at her with those eyes that seemed to melt through anything.

Her attention was suddenly brought back to her letter. She grabbed the new box of envelopes on her desk and slipped the letter in, stamping it with her seal and then with the postal stamp which also came from a new pack. She signed it off and propped it up on her desk before taking Shawns letter and putting it in the binder carefully, making sure she didn't tear it, and then placing it on her shelf, inbetween a Harry Potter book and a Heros Of Olympus one.

Hopefully she would here from him soon, they already seem to have so much in common and it raised hope in her that she would finally have a friend...

That wasn't rainbow of course!
