Earl: a British nobleman ranking above a viscount and below a marquess, a female earl is called a "Lady".

A demigod is an offspring of a mortal and a God.

A demigod's powers are called 'Sila'.

Demigods are mortal, they have the same lifespan as that of a human, though, they can only be killed by their star spirits or by suicide. Gatekeepers are immortal.

Star spirits are servants to demigods, representing one human desire or emotion. Like hatred, lust, happiness etc.

Purgatory is a place we go to before reaching heaven or hell. It's a place where it's decided whether you'll go to heaven or to hell.

In the language of stars, a contract means 'Marriage'
