After the class was over, Vierne met Aleksei in the halls. He gave her a few amulets and asked her to use them for protection. She looked at the amulets as she sat in the class.
"Wow, is that an amulet?" Slavik looked at the amulet.
"It's the first time I've seen one," Belka said.
"You met an exorcist, Vierne?" He asked.
"Yes, kind of."

"Cool! I've heard exorcists have the ability to travel realms."
"Really?" Vierne asked.
"Yes, I wanted to become an exorcist too! But the training is too difficult and you have to start learning from a young age."
"I see. Must be tough for him."

"How old is he or she?"
"He seems around twenty."
"A young exorcist!"
"Where's Aleksei? He borrowed a book from me." Galkin asked.
"No idea. He's always late to class and Akagi doesn't give a fuck!"

Aleksei and Akagi stood at the stairs, Aleksei held the necklace in his hands.
"Yes, this is a magic vessel."
"I knew it. Must belong to Vierne's parents."
"It's something I've never seen."
"What do you mean?"
"The energy it holds is much superior to all of us even after all these years. This must be some kind of treasure." Aleksei passed the necklace back to Akagi.

"Aleksei?"
"I won't jump on conclusions yet. But if it is what I think it is, we might be in a bigger problem than Lict."
"What is it?"
"A theft...from Shire Towey tower"
"Where is that?"
"At the centre of the universe, connecting all realm gates."

"Is this stolen from it?" Akagi asked.
"I'm not sure yet but maybe."
"This suddenly got very messed up...Should I ask Vierne about it?"
"No, first let's focus on Lict. We'll see to it later. It can wait."
"Alright."

Suddenly, they heard the clouds rumble.
"It's raining a lot these days."
"Yeah," Aleksei looked at the sky.
"What a coincidence." Akagi kept the necklace inside his pocket.
"Nothing in this universe is a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason."

The bell rang across the halls.
"You skipped class again," Akagi said.
"Damn, I graduated three years back. I am attending school just as a sacrifice to my work"
"Yeah, I know."

Melissa stood between two demigod star spirit pairs. One was Galkin and Nadia, the second was Slavik and Belka.

"3, 2, 1, run!" She moved back and the fight began. It was a practice match. Lict and Vierne stood at a corner and stared at them. The pact was formed. Slavik used the first form whereas Galkin used the second one.
"Fire tornado!" Belka shouted and a huge tornado of fire launched towards Nadia.
"Nadia, floral wave," Nadia's eyes glowed green and a huge wall of plants grew before her and got wrapped up in the fire.
"Ha! You think this grass will defeat fire?!"

Galkin smirked, "You're slow, aren't you?"
"What?" As the huge rack of plants burnt, they moved towards Belka. After all, Nadia was the one controlling them. Belka was about to run when she saw that her ankles were wrapped with creeper shoots.

"Fire Shield!" Slavik shouted and Belka raised a ten-metre wall of fire before her which began pacing towards the burning shoots that were pacing towards her.
"Beat that!" Slavik shouted.
"Beat it!" Galkin said and Nadia's eyes glowed brown. "He's sharing his powers with her," Vierne said.

"Position shift," Galkin said and soon, Nadia and Belka exchanged positions.
"Wow!" Vierne gasped and the entire wall of fire struck Belka on her back. She turned back as her clothes burnt.
"Nadia, Rose weed" Nadia's eyes glowed green again and a huge rose plant grew out from the floor and wrapped itself around Belka. The thorns of the rose dug into her skin and she shouted, "Do something, idiot!" She shouted at Slavik.

"But what?!" Slavik panicked. Melissa waited for a few more seconds, she was about to raise her hands and declare the result but Slavik pulled a trick, "Belka! Heatwave!" Her eyes glowed orange and the rose plant caught fire. Nadia looked at her.

"Yes! We won!" Slavik raised his fist as Belka fell down on the floor, in the fire.
"Whew."
"Nadia," She turned towards Galkin, "Woods raise." Her eyes glowed green and she raised her arms, "Hey, what's happening?" Vierne said.

Plants grew out of all the walls, the ceiling and the floor. Lict and Maks made a shield around them and their masters. Melissa formed a shield around her. As the density of plants around her increased, she couldn't see anything.
"Belka!" Slavik shouted as he disappeared in the plants, "Fire—"

Everything turned quiet. Vierne looked at Lict. Suddenly, they heard a blast. And fire rose out from the trees. Melissa looked at the burning forest around her, "Well, this isn't something you see every day." Slavik and Nadia rose up from the flames, "Hot!" He raised his fist, "Fire magic is the best magic!"
Galkin looked at Nadia. She nodded her head and opened her arms, "Nadia, Aromaticure" He said and her body released a cloud of pink dust that flew in the air.

"What's this smell?" Slavik said, "It's nice, right Belka?" She threw a ball of fire at him but he dodged it, "Are you finally gone insane?" She made another ball of fire.
"B-Belka?"
"Aromaticure—The ability to generate and manipulate fragrance and use it to cause hypnosis." Aleksei said, "Sounds cool enough."

"This is unfair!" Slavik shouted as Belka ran after him. Finally, the creepers wrapped themselves around her leg and he couldn't move. She ran towards him and he shrieked.
"It's enough!" Melissa raised her hand and Galkin snapped his finger. Belka was back to normal, "Today's practice parade's winner is Gavril Galkin Dulik."

"Wow, this was so good." Vierne clapped her hands. She was impressed. Galkin was not just good at theory but practical magic too. He was perfect!
"Vierne and Aleksei, your turn." She got up.
"Are you going to go easy on the kid?" Maks asked.
"Ha! You think?" Aleksei grinned, "Absolutely not.No cheating on my side. You can go easy if you want."

Vierne and Lict walked towards the other corner of the auditorium.
"Lict, do you think we can win against them?"
"Of course, Milady. I know you have been working hard to learn your spells. Aren't you excited to use them?"

"I am!" Vierne took out the pocket knife from beneath her skirt and slit Lict's wrist, "Lict! Protect me! It's an order from your lady demigod herself!" The red threads wrapped around her wrist and the pact was formed.

"Vyzov forma Odin!" She shouted.
"Vyzov forma dva" Aleksei smirked.
"What?!" Vierne and Slavik shouted.
"What the fuck" Galkin looked at Aleksei.
"He can use the second form! Why is literally everyone here more talented than me?"

Maks turned into a bow and arrow. Aleksei held it against Vierne, "Ready?"
She took a step back, "Don't worry, Milady. You are strong." Lict smiled.
"Oof, I wanna see two elite stars fight. It'll be a hell load of entertainment." Slavik said.
"No shit." Galkin crossed his arms.
"Vierne!" Aleksei shouted from the other corner.

'How dare this peasant call me by name!'

"I'm ready!" She shouted back.
"Dang. Kay then," He took his aim. Lict has his boots on his feet.
"Lict! Viviana musica!" Vierne shouted. Lict slammed his feet on the ground and they were surrounded by a golden wall.
"Well done," Aleksei smirked and released the arrow.

"Orfograffi shift—Magixiya first! Shield!" Lict made a golden screen which blocked the arrow and reflected it back on Aleksei. He caught it with his hands.
"Awesome Lict!" Slavik shouted.
"Maks, are you going easy on the kids? We are going to lose. Do you want me to feel defeated by a kid?" Aleksei asked.

"Of course not, Milord."
"Then, this time be serious." Aleksei took his aim again.
"Lict, can't we attack? We are just using defensive spells." Vierne said.
"He might die. Is that okay?"
"Of course it's not! It's just a practice match."

"Okay," The golden walls surrounded Vierne, "Lict?"
"I'll do something to get us a quick win."
"But—"
"I won't kill anyone."

Aleksei released the arrow, and Lict ran towards it. His boots were shining bright purple.
"I've never seen Lict use his gift," Slavik said.
"You might see that now," Galkin said.
Lict jumped over the arrow and kicked Aleksei in his face, he grabbed Lict by his foot and slammed him to the floor. Lict groaned and pressed his hands to the floor. It began glowing bright golden.

The arrow was still on its way. It passed through the wall and struck Vierne into her arm. It soon disappeared.
"Milady!" Lict shouted and Vierne fell on her knees, "Look, you underestimated them." She said.
Lict glared at Aleksei and got up in the air. His eyes were shining golden as four walls appeared around Aleksei.

"You think you can defeat me?!" Lict shouted.
"Of course, I can. Maks, revert!" He shouted and the bow turned back to Maks.
"Rebellion pasher!" Raised his arms towards Lict and a pink light emerged out of him. Lict's golden light vanished out. "I suddenly feel weak," Slavik said.
"Me too," Galkin fell on his knees.

Lict landed on the ground and felt a pointy arrow on his head.
"So, have I won yet?"
Lict smirked, "Dream on."
"Lict, Vivana musica, syndica" Vierne shouted and Lict formed a golden chain that wrapped all around Aleksei, "You think this would stop?"

"No, but this would."
"Orfograffi second, Vyzof forma odin! Miriora"
"Milord, move away from him!" Maks shouted but he couldn't since he was chained. He looked into Lict's eyes and all his memories surfaced into his mind. Everything that he wanted to forget. "Milord!"
When he regained consciousness, Vierne stood over him with a dagger in her hand.

Melissa raised her hand, "Today's practice parade's winner is Vierne Obolensky."
"Dammit, I lost to a kid." Aleksei closed his eyes, "But I remembered something I didn't want to." He got up and looked at Lict, "You're sleek—Targeting people's memories."

Lict smiled, "Afterall, memories make a person weak. And only music can reach them."
