I had gone full Sherlock Holmes after that. Who was the cursed one Lord Akagi talked about? Was it me? I might not be surprised if I were cursed, my Sila is merely destruction anyways. Then, he talked about some favour. Maybe this would give me a clue as to what he was talking about. I pressed my ear on the wall.

Suddenly, I felt fingers on my waist. I shouted but someone covered my mouth with their hands. I was getting kidnapped! I turned to have a look at their ugly mug.

"Eavesdropping is bad." It was Melissa. She dragged me away from the room and I finally pushed her away when we were at a safe distance from the room.

"What is your problem?!" I shouted. I hated her! I could have found out something very important if I continued listening but she just had to bring her butt where it didn't belong.

I noticed a black smoke slowly emerging out of the floor. It didn't smell like smoke and it was suddenly all around us. Melissa ran away from me "Wait—Melissa! You whore, you ditched me!" I couldn't move at all. It was as if the smoke had grabbed my legs.

"Vierne!" I heard Lord Akagi's voice and opened my eyes. We were in a desert. I immediately realised that we were in the blank space, but how did I get there? Lict wasn't around.
"Welcome!" I heard it and turned back.
"Cheater! You used black magic to teleport us here." Melissa barked.

"Your mistake, you're so gullible." Said the man who seemed the pathetic demigod I was supposed to fight. I looked at Lord Akagi. His eyes were burning red. He took out his gun and shot at Melissa. The force was so strong, that I could feel the impact of the gun. It must hurt a lot.
"Melissa! Demolish the obstructions and engrave my way! This is an order from your master, the Lord demigod himself!" He shouted, and the same thing happened as it happened to Lict.

A thin red thread from the wound given by Lord Akagi's gunshot on Melissa wrapped around his wrist just like last time. He pulled it up and she got up. He looked much more dominating than me. I was inspired. Melissa then took out the axe from her side pocket. The axe was shining, she jumped and sat near Lord Akagi, they truly looked like a pair. Not random two people fighting together to achieve a common goal. I realised I had much to learn. He looked at Melissa, and as he looked away, the other star spirit's head was separated from her body.

Melissa had gone to her, sliced away her head from her body and broke her weapon. All it took her was just one second. It happened within a flash before I could understand anything. He did control time! But how did Melissa use that power of his master?

"How pathetic," Akagi smirked. The other demigod started giving off smoke from his body "No!" He shouted. He didn't come here to get his ass beaten up, but guess what—Losers will remain losers, cheating can't help.

"I pity star spirits that have to serve trash like you. I wonder what that makes them." Lord Akagi roasted him effortlessly.

I was looking at him when I saw that pink square coming towards us and soon I found myself back in the real world. He shot me a glance and then walked away.

"Let's take you back home." He said and I followed him.

He was strong and in the end, he was an enemy too. I had to fight him someday. I just wished that when the time would come, I wouldn't hesitate to kill Melissa. The author I admired so much was lost. I just wished he would kill me before I reached him.

When we reached the mansion, Lict had already laid the lunch. I was hungry so I quickly devoured the dishes prepared by my butler. Lord Akagi and Melissa joined me.

"Lict, Vierne was attacked by a demigod in the school today and forcefully dragged into the blank space by a dark spell." At that time, Lict was doing the dishes, as he heard it, he turned and dropped my cup from his hands. But the worst was yet to come.

"Milady!" Lict shouted into my ear as he grabbed me, tearing away my tympanum "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Somebody save me from this embarrassment.

"Dude, you are the result of four billion years of evolution, so act like it," Lord Akagi protected me.

Lict glared at him, "I listened to you and look what happened."

"Literally nothing happened—"

"Now, I don't care what you say. I'll go with Milady." Lict hugged me and we both stared at Akagi.

"Milord, let us hug each other too," Melissa suggested. That cunt!

"No!" I pushed Lict away "Why did you come here? Didn't you go to the bathroom?!"

"I came back midway because I sensed something gay was about to happen," Melissa smirked.

Lord Akagi is gay? My first crush is a gay man. Oh no, please don't let this be true. Make him bisexual but not gay!

"So, whose sucking whom?" Melissa asked.

"Melissa!" I shrieked. What—What the hell was she saying? Lord Jesus!

"Oh my God!"

"As if I would ever propose to a guy," Lord Akagi turned to find Lict standing one metre away from him.

"From now on stay at least one metre away from me."

What?!

"Don't tell me you believed her."

Only people with their brains in their knees would believe stuff like that—It made absolutely no sense! When Lord Akagi said he isn't gay, he means it! "I would rather die as a virgin than do a guy."

"But you're not a virgin." Melissa corrected him. He isn't a virgin? Melissa, you bitch!

"Melissa, people are dying out there." Thank you, Lict. See, he can be smart too.

"Why die when you can kill?" Lord Akagi said.

"Write that down!" Melissa shouted as she grabbed Lict.

"Why me?" He pushed her away.

"Vierne, you're soon going to school. I want you to learn as much as you can. The coming times are going to be tough," Lord Akagi informed me as he took out a small grey coloured box from his cat's pocket. "Did you have a vision, Milord?" Melisa asked.

"No, but I can tell it," He opened the box and I saw a beautiful ring.

"Lict, come here," Lord Akagi ordered.

"Why?" Lict was standing away with his arms crossed. He narrowed his eyes.

He threw the ring at Lict and it hit him under his eyes. That was a bit too harsh.
"Are you okay, Lict?!" I ran towards him. As I've said before, it's nice to be nice sometimes.

"What a homicidal way to propose, I like it! I approve." Melissa smiled.

No, I don't. This was so toxic! I gently grabbed Lict's face and looked at him. He had the ring mark under his eye. This was beginning to annoy me—Why was Lord Akagi treating Lict like that? Only I can do it!

"Is it hurting a lot?" I asked.
"Just a bit." He pressed his wound.
"I ship this too. Sorry, Milord." Melissa looked at him, "I'm not loyal."

"Cringe. Hurry up and put that ring on her finger." We are literally marrying? Lord Akagi wants to get rid of me so badly that he wants me to marry a hundred and twenty-five million years old man?

"I'm not marrying him!" I protested.
"Listen," Lord Akagi crossed his arms. "This is not an engagement, proposal or whatever in the world that matters ring. This is a spellbinding ring. It is used by baby demigods who haven't learned to control their powers very well. I bought it from Mrs Winston. As the name suggests, it binds your magic. It's like a lock and your star spirit is the key."

My tattered tympanum healed by itself as these golden words struck my ear. Does that mean, my powers will be calm, once and for all? Will I be able to feel things again without breaking them? Because ever since I've had this illness, I felt like I was constantly under anaesthesia for all these years.

"You can't wear it on your own, someone has to put it on your finger."
It's great. Lord Akagi, you do it! "Put it on my finger," I jumped at him.
"No, not possible." He immediately refused and I groaned "But why?"
"Because I'd obviously die if I touch you," Akagi said. I was brought back to Earth in the cruellest way possible. But it wasn't the worst yet, the worst was yet to come.

"One person can do it, and only he can do it." Have you ever felt the feeling that something very unnecessary was about to happen and you can do nothing to stop it so you just wait for it to come and just pray that you don't die? See mortals, we just found something in common, how unnecessary.

I swallowed my saliva "It's Lict, isn't it?"

"Unfortunately,"

We both were in gloom. I was sad because it was Lict, while he was sad because I guessed it correct. Authors hate people who make nice guesses so well, now you know it, mortals!

"Milady, could you please bring your hand forward?" Lict smiled and I brought my dead hands forward. My soul was crying. He gently held my hand and brought the ring close to my finger. I looked at his hands and compared them to mine. My hands were pink and pale, his hands were golden. And they were shining brighter than usual. Was he angry? I looked at him.

He looked the happiest he had been in a while. Oh, so he glows when he's happy too? I looked at him as he looked at my hands and before I knew it, he had fixed the ring in my finger. This just feels like a marriage, Lord Akagi was the priest and Melissa was the bridesmaid. Literally, how high am I? What did Lict mix in the food?! He stared at me and smiled. My face turned into a kebab—Well grilled, maybe even burnt. Lord Akagi moved towards me and grabbed my hand. It was so unexpected that I immediately retreated back.

"Well, it seems like it works." He said. In what world was this the right way to confirm if you can die or not? He must trust his straight a lot because if it didn't work, he would tear up into at least a hundred pieces—One for every woman or man who has ever had a crush on him.

Hey,

This doesn't sound so bad.

Then, realization struck me and I could feel. I could feel the clothes, the walls, hot or cold, I could feel everything. It won't break. What a beautiful feeling that was to feel that freedom was mine!
