Not a word was spoken
About the night before.
He minded his own business,
While I did my chores.
We walked, we talked,
Just like how it used to be.
I tried to suppress the beast
For the sake of my sanity.
I didn't have a clue
That he also did the same.
He too has his own demons,
Demons to defeat and tame.
I tried to hold out
As long as I could,
To reject the bad
And embrace the good.
But one cannot forget
The taste of crimson red,
And so she kept on roaring, pounding,
Clawing at the back of my head.
Quiet, sinful creature!
Oh, you think that's enough?
You can never fool me twice
For my heart is brave and tough.
Tough? She laughed and grinned.
You're nothing but frail and weak,
Easy to tempt, easy to crack
Like a thousand-year-old antique.
Why? I'm telling no lies!
Even the devil can speak the truth.
You know what you want, Cecily.
Now the rest is up to you.

Fun Fact: The title is inspired by Oikawa Tooru from Haikyuu.
If you've read my 'about me' here on Wattpad, you probably know that I am a weeb. One of my favorite animes and one of the first animes that I've watched is Haikyuu. To those who have watched it, I know that a certain phrase comes to mind whenever Oikawa is mentioned — If you're gonna hit it, hit it till it breaks. Hehe, you probably thought of it even before you read it :smuggerz: Anyways, I decided to put my own twist to it, and thus the title is born. PS: The picture I used for this poem scares me!
Stay safe, lovelies!
