A smile hovered on Sebastian's lips as he arrived at his office this morning. Over his coffee and the splendid breakfast made by his maid, Leigh, he had thought of his plan in seducing his little secretary Miss Andin Williams. A lively sense of anticipation tingled through his body as he swung the door open, fully expecting Andin to be at her table. Yet it quickly died down when he noticed that there was no sign of her arrival. Her usual brown coat was not in the hanger and her desk was still cleared, looking precisely as it had been when he had left his office last Friday.
Where the hell was she? Or perhaps excitement had made him arrive earlier than he had thought.
He moved his arm and checked his watch. It was fifteen minutes past nine. He had not arrived early, she had been the one arriving late! He had never known her to be here before him. She had always been punctual. Her failure to do so today was aggravating, especially since he had sent her a text telling her that he needed to discuss something with her first thing in the morning. He had even put a note that it was urgent.
He loudly sighed and walked towards his own office through the connecting door. Always being productive at all times, he turned on his computer and started to work as he ignored his inquiring mind that wondered where his secretary had been and with who. He shook his head as if trying to shake those thoughts away.
An hour later, Sebastian closed his eyes and tried his best to calm his raging temper. He had hardly done any work for the last hour, distracted by Andin's absence this morning and the desire pooling inside of him. Even though he chastised himself over and over again that it was stupid to mess with his secretary, someone as great and caliber as Andin, he could not entirely stop his body from desperately wanting her.
Sure, he'd planned to satisfy his desire with London but he was not sure that it would work, that it would be enough. Still, his pride was too big not to even give it a try. He was Sebastian Summers, after all, the CEO of Summers Entertainment. Not only had he carried his company, but he also carried the Summers name. His family was old money, they had been the strongest, richest, most powerful family in the U.S. for decades. How would it sound if some cheesy tabloids heard about his desire for his secretary?
Having a relationship with models or actresses was much simpler. He liked his women as deep as puddles who would move on quickly to the next actor or rock star or athlete after the relationship ended. The kind of woman who would not expect him to put a ring on her finger — and he highly doubted that Andin would fall into this category. That alone should have been a fair warning. He was not ready for marriage. Hell, if it was any indication, he had not even thought about it at all. His sole focus was to grow Summers Entertainment into something bigger than it had ever been and to find his long-lost brother.
Sebastian decided right there and then that he would stick to his plan. He would try to satisfy his irrational desire for his secretary with London Starr and if it did not work then he would seduce Andin. He would seduce her with all his might until she was weak on her knees and begged for just one night of passion with him. Once this irresistible temptation was sated, he would move on. Yes, right before that night happened, he would tell her beforehand that it was pure sex and nothing more. Nothing was to be repeated and should be treated as the mutual agreement of two adults to satisfy their desire for one another. Nothing more.
Once he sorted his mind, he was feeling more at ease. He had called London earlier this morning to meet him at the hotel that they had always used as their love tryst. At lunchtime, he would go there, and hopefully, this raging, quite vexing desire for his little secretary would dissipate. Then after a week or two, he would end things with London. Not because he had grown tired of her. No man would grow tired of a passionate and insatiable mistress such as London. However, his reliable antenna had recently picked up that she might have begun to foresee a different role in his life. She wanted something more from him and she had begun to be more possessive, more demanding. He recognized the signals and knew that the relationship was doomed to end soon.
Sebastian picked up his phone and checked his emails and texts. There were none from Andin. Without giving much thought to it, he put his phone aside and moved his attention to his work. He needed to go to Los Angeles soon before the talent and the opportunity he knew where there would be taken by other companies. He needed to act quickly which was why he needed Andin to see him first thing in the morning and start making arrangements.
Never in his life, had he thought that he would have to arrange his own flights and accommodations. He had never done so when he was young, his father's secretary would always arrange it for him. And when he became an adult, he had people do this stuff for him.
"How hard could it be?" He shrugged and began making calls. He was determined to prove that he could do it by himself without Andin.
Yet an hour later, he found himself more frustrated than he had been before. Right when he nearly gave up, a knock on his door gave him a slight of hope.
"Come in," he gave his permission.
His door swung open and revealed none other than his secretary. She looked exactly like herself except she was more vibrant, her face was practically glowing and Sebastian found himself getting hard again.
"Damn," he muttered under his breath, out of her earshot.
"I apologize for being late. My car broke down so Damon drove me here but the traffic was crazy."
Although her story sounded very convincing, Sebastian doubted that it hold any truth. Her hair was blown by the wind and it gave the impression that she had just gotten out of bed after wild sex. Perhaps the real reason that she had arrived late was that she had not been sleeping all night and then overslept!
"No worries," he dismissed her reasoning. Although he had his doubts, he did not think it was proper for him to ask. Furthermore, it was none of his business how she had spent her time and with who. Still, though, it bothered him immensely. "I need you to help me arrange the trip to Los Angeles. We leave first thing tomorrow morning or tonight. Just choose whichever is more convenient. Make sure you book a suite at a five stars hotel. I would not tolerate anything less after our uncomfortable experience last time. I do not think I need to remind you, do I?" He looked up from his screen and his eyes met hers.
"No, Sir," she answered efficiently. "Before I make such arrangements, I have something important to inform you."
"Can it wait?" He moved his attention to the contract that his legal team had presented to him. He had wanted to discuss this with Andin.
"No, Sir. I'm afraid it can't."
Intrigued by her answer and how firm her voice had been, he dragged his eyes back to her. "Okay. What is it?" Only when he finally gave her his full and undivided attention had he realized that she had been carrying a white envelope.
Andin stepped forward and placed the envelope carefully on his desk next to the contract. "This is my resignation letter, Sir. It has been a pleasure working with you however just like all good things in life, it has come to an end."

ANDIN
Once she had finally said her piece, she felt relieved as if a huge burden had been lifted from her shoulders. This was what she had wanted and for the first time, she was brave enough to actually do it. Andin felt her breathing slow to its normal rhythm, her heartbeat calming. "I will leave today."
"You can't," her boss abruptly said. Then he continued in a cool, detached tone, "In your contract, it stipulates three months' notice. You can't immediately leave as much as you would like to do so."
" I don't mind forfeiting my salary for that period," she said immovably.
He took a pen from his drawer, opened the cap, and began marking the contract. His voice was calm and showed no emotion. "Well, then I have no choice but to sue you," he retorted.
Her cheeks burst into dark red color. Now that he had said it, it felt childish and silly of her to want to leave right away. Contract-wise, she should have known that she could legally not. She needed help finding a replacement, then doing a proper handover. "Alright. Then I won't leave immediately."
"Good. I expect no less." He ticked something on the contract, his eyebrows frowned indicating his displeasure. "Why do you want to quit anyway? Have I not paid you enough? Is there another job offer?" His eyes glanced at her briefly before turning back to the paper.
"No, Sir, you have been very generous," she replied with a smile even though she knew he could not possibly see her. "And no, there is no job offer thus far."
"Then do tell," he paused, putting his pen down and looking directly at her, "why do you wish to resign?"
For a second, under his intense gaze, she could not find her voice. For a moment, she wasn't sure she wanted to resign.
But then he added, "is it because of the kiss?"
The mocking smile spread on his lips and the way his eyes glinted in sheer amusement caused her to be firm on her decision. It made her realize why she could no longer do this anymore. She could not take his jab at her attire, at her lack of feminity, at her professionalism, any longer. Moreover what had happened over the weekend, how he had merely wanted her to be one of her conquests.
"Anyway," he said, shrugging, "this is a storm in a teacup. What is a small kiss after four years? You are probably the only female I had never kissed even after knowing for so long. I need you on this trip to Los Angeles. We need to acquire this talent. I remember that Shaun Brown was a bit enamored by you the last time we met him. You always manage to seduce difficult young men so sweetly." He gave her an insolent smile. "Trust me, if it were a girl, I would handle it myself."
"I'm sure you would," she said bitterly. "Very expertly, no doubt."
If he noticed her jab, he ignored it. "Precisely. So forget about the kiss. We have important work to do. The Summers Entertainment needs you and your talent."
Andin was torn between reluctance to give up her job and a fear of the emotions which had flared between them. Working for Sebastian Summers was a bit like handling a stick of dynamite. One needed a cool head, patience, and extra care. After what had happened, Andin was no longer sure she could keep her head if he chose to make certain she lost it. She had always feared such an incident. Now she was confused and uncertain. She did not want to be one of her conquests and be discarded once he was bored with her yet at the same time, she had been liking him for so long. She had carefully repressed her feelings for him for the last three, nearly four, years. Now that he finally had his eyes on her, should she really give him the cold shoulder and move along?
Sebastian was watching her keenly, observing the fleeting emotions in her dark eyes with shrewdness.
"Okay," she said slowly. "I will stay for the next three months and help you find a replacement."
He stared at her unreadably, his expression masked. Slowly he shrugged. "Whatever you like." He moved his attention fully back to the paper and she knew that it meant their discussion had come to an end.
Still a little flushed, Andin opened the door and walked out of Sebastian's office. She threw one last glance at her boss who was still focusing his blue eyes on the contract as she closed the door.
