Mari POV
It's been a long time since Ur found me and Gray after our village was destroyed. Gray's been really sad and grumpy lately. I'm worried about him. But I'm too happy to be worried because today's my birthday! I'm turning 8 today! I sprang out of bed and tiptoed to where Gray was and started poking his face.
"Psssssttt! Gray! Gray!" I whisper shouted but he wouldn't wake up.
"GRAY!" I yelled and he jolted up yelling, "THATS NOT MY PENGIUN!!"
"There's no penguin Gray!" I laughed as Gray turned around and gave me a hug.
"Morning Mari!" He said kissing the top of my head.
"You know, today is a very special day!" I cooed. He made a confused face but I could tell he was faking.
"How so?" He said putting on that wierd face of his.
"Oh you know. The day which we celebrate ones birth on July 7, 769!" I giggled. Thats when Lyon walked in with a tray full of food.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARI!!" He yelled. Ur quickly followed with a warm smile on her face.
"Thank you guys!! This is awesome!" I gave all of them a giant bear hug.
"Now eat up. We have to go to the market." Ur said. I nodded and gobbled down my breakfast as if it was the last meal I would ever get.
"Slow down or you'll choke!" Gray warned.
"Wha? Wan shome?" I said with a mouth full of pancakes, extending a fork out to Gray but he just pushed it away.
"Come on guys! We have to go to the market now!" Ur called out to us. Me and Gray both got dressed and into our normal clothes. I had a pink leather jacket that folded up to my elbows with a teal shirt, a faded pair of jeans. I dont know why its called a pair of jeans when its just one. It's been confusing me for a while. I also had a pair of combat boots. I put my long dark hair into a fistail braid. Ur taught me how. I looked in the mirror and nodded. I look good. Gray had on his usual white jacket and jeans. I took his hand and walked out finding Lyon and Ur waiting for us.
Ur POV
Gray and Mari took a little longer to get ready, but that made sense given how Mari looked. Her long jet black hair was pulled back in a fishtail braid and her outfit was absolutly adorable.
"Well don't you look beautiful on your big day! I wouldn't be suprized if you two grew up to be the best looking siblings on Fiore!" I said booping her nose. She made her adorable 8 year old giggle while Gray just scoffed.
"Come on. Lets go." Gray said. Some time passed before we all made it to the market. When we got there, I saw one of my friends working the stand.
"Hey Lila!" I called out to her. She called back out to me and we started talking for a while.
"You know, you're not going to get any men if they think you have kids. You deserve to be happy." She said.
"Oh I don't care about men. Gray and Lyon are already enough." I replied rolling my eyes.
"What about the youngest? What was her name?" Lila thought hard.
"Don't hurt yourself. But Mari's not that young anymore. She's turning 8 today." I said eagerly. She glanced over at her, then to Gray who was brawling with Lyon, then back at me.
"They're going to be quite the lookers when they grow up! Be sure to save one for me!" She asked.
"If you want to put up with them be my guest. But Mari, she reminds me so much of my daughter. Full of life and energy, beautiful, truley amazing." I said looking back at her.
"Well, tell them I said hi." She said handing me my groceries. I walked back to Gray, Lyon and Mari. Mari was on Lyons shoulders, tugging on his hair and Gray was staring at the fountain lost in his own thought.
"Giddy up horsie!" Mar said pulling on his snow white locks. 
"OUCH!!" He exclaimed.
"Hey! Horses dont talk!" Mari said pounding her fist on Lyons head.
"But they feel!" Lyon said forcing a smile while small tears were forming in his eyes. I started to chuckle
"Okay guys. Lyon, Gray, help me carry the groceries " Lyon looked like he had just been saved from murder.
"Bless you Ur. Bless you." Lyon mutterd. Mari, Lyon, Gray and me each took a grocery bag and started to walk home. We weren't even out of the market when I heard Mari shriek. I turned around and saw Gray in his underwear.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN STRIPPING OUT HERE??!!" I yelled. Gray looked down and screamed.
"WHAT?!! ITS ALL YOUR FAULT BECAUSE OF YOU I HAVE THIS STUPID HABIT!!!!!" He yelled back with a tick mark on his forehead. I got one too as I sent him flying.
Gray POV
As we were all walking home, a cart came passing bye and I accidently overheard the men talking.
"Hey, did you hear? The magic councils got a confirmation on delliorahs exact location!"
"Yea! Somewhere in acalifa."
That was all I needed to hear. I didn't even notice when I dropped my bag.
"Delliorah." I started to mutter.
"Gray? Whats wrong?" Mari asked. I didn't even notice because the memories of my village being attacked were flooding my mind.
"Delliorah. I'm coming for you."
Time skip
Mari was fast asleep. Lyon and Ur were eating, it was the perfect opportunity to escape and find this demon. I was on my out, until I tripped on Lyons jacket.
"Gray, where are you going?" Ur asked. I ignored her and kept walking.
"Gray, where are you going?!" She asked again with more athority in her voice.
"I'm going to fight delliorah." I mutterd.
"WHAT??!!" Lyon and Ur yelled in unison. I was already out the door by then. There was no stopping me by that time. I headd Mari's little footsteps approach the door.
"Gray, where are you*yawn* going?" She asked rubbing her eyes. I turned around and walked over to.
"I'm going to avenge mom and dad. That monster hurt you." I saw her rub her scar on her side.
"Gray, please don't do this." Lyon pleaded. I kissed the top of Mari's head and continued out.
"If that monster kills me, you should have taught me some powerful magic."  I yelled to Ur. There was no stopping me now.
Mari POV
It took me a minute to proccess everything. Once I did, I found myself fighting tears. I looked around and Ur and Lyon were still looking out the door, almost as if they looked long enough, Gray would come back. Thats when I decided to take charge.
"ARE WE JUST GOING TO STAND HERE OR ARE WE GOING TO GO GET MY BROTHER??!! WE ALL KNOW HE HAS NO CHANCE ON HIS OWN!!" I yelled. Just when I thought Ur was going to yell at me, Lyon stood behind me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"I'm with you Mari. We need to get him back. I'll go with you." Lyon saod putting on a supportive smile. I smiled back and so did Ur.
"Well, I suppose I can't stop you from going. So I might as well go with you. You'll need me. You guys are strong, but you have no chance without me." Ur said. We all started packing and did some light trainging before following Grays footprints.

We were all overwhelmed by the destruction delliorah brough to this village. There wasn't a single building in tact. My entire life was flashing before my eyes.
"ICE MAKE DRAGON!!" I yelled. This was by far the hardest for me to do, but  I had no other choice.
"MARI?! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE??!" Gray yelled at me. A blast of magic came hurling toward us. The dragon I made counterd that attack. I could feel my magic energy slipping away.
"We came here to save you. You can't *pant pant* beat this thing on your own." I replied. My outfit was destroyed. I didn't care.
"I told you! I have to beat this thing!" Gray said. Thats when I got mad and slapped him!
"Open your eyes Gray! You can't beat this thing. Look! Even UR is struggling! I got hurt! Thats true! Mama and Papa are gone! Our village was destroyed! But you HAVE to move on! You'll never get anywhere if you keep holding on to the past!" I yelled at him with tears streaming down my face.
Gray POV
She, slapped me. That really did open my eyes. I realized that she was right. I can't beat this thing. I walked over to Ur and Lyon was yelling at her for something.
"Lyon, I told you. There's always someone better than you. In the west, there are wizards I don't even hold a candle to." Ur said not taking her eyes off of delliorah.
"But if you're not the strongest, why have I been training with you? I only trained with you, because I thought you were the strongest! DONT BETRAY ME! YOU HAVE TO BEAT THIS!" Lyon yelled at Ur. "NEVER MIND THIS!" He pushed Ur aside and got i to a stance that was basicly suicide. Iced shell.
"LYON ARE YOU CRAZY?! WHY ARE YOU IN THE ICED SHELL STANCE?!" Mari and Ur yelled in perfect unison.
"I READ IT IN ONE OF YOUR BOOKS! THIS IS GARENTEED TO BEAT HIM!" Lyon yelled.
"DID YOU BOTHER TO READ THE REST?!" Mari yelled. Before he answered, Mari froze him. "I HAD TO! sorry!" Ur walked up to the demon.
"He's right though. Iced shell is the only thing that can beat him. Do me one last favor. Well two. Tell Lyon I died. I don't want him to spend the reat of his life trying to figure out how to reverse the spell. Also, always look after Mari. She has so much potential. ICED, SHELL!!!!" Ur cast the shell and numerous magic circles formed around Delliorah. Her skin started to crack, Mari collasped from the lack of magic energy, and tears starred streaming down my face.
"I freed you from the darkness Gray." Those were Ur's last words before her body became Ice.
"UUUUURRRRRR!!!!" I yelled. I sat down on a rock and cried for a long time. The ice around Lyon melted and Mari regained concousness
"Huh? What happend?! Where Ur?" Lyon asked.
"She-She's dead." I said not even looking up
"Y-You! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!" Lyon yelled and he tackled me.
"ENOUGH!" Mari yelled creating a piece of Ice to seperate me from Lyon.
"Yes. Its true that Ur is dead, but fighting about it isn't going to fix anything! Now I'm heading west and going to try and find a guild. If your smart you'll come with me!" Mari yelled. I got up and followed Mari. Lyon walked the opposite direction. Me and Mari have a whole new adventure waiting for us. And it all begins with heading west.
