"Repeat that one more time." I huff out in annoyance as I glared at Jackson.

"No. I know you understood me." I cross my arms in front of my chest as Jackson scratched his head.

"Is he ok though?" Jackson whispers, closing my bedroom door softly. I sigh and shrug.

"I don't know Jackson. He's traumatised. He won't talk to me. At all."

"(Y/n)... I don't think you can help him by yourself." Jackson purses his lips as he follows me downstairs.

"I'm the only one he trusts so far." I grimace, remembering how those men beat up the poor boy last night.

But I can't leave him.

He needs me.

"You can't possibly look after 4 kids." Jackson gasps out.

How the hell did he know what I was planning to do!?

"We looked after a whole orphanage. Shut up." I roll my eyes and start cooking some breakfast for my boys. Jackson sighs out in defeat as he leaned in the countertop.

"(Y/n)..." I sigh and grip the ledge before turning to Jackson.

"I know I'm not a proper mother. I know that I don't have the proper skills to look after kids. But I'm trying here. And I want to try. I want to keep trying."

"I know. I know (y/n). But you can't do this by yourself anymore." I lean my hip against the countertop, standing before Jackson.

"I'm not alone. I have you, your parents, and Kris and Mark."

"But we can't always be here."

"I know. That's why I don't want to depend on you guys too much. Jackson, trust me. I'm not at my limits yet. Plus, that boy up there, he needs me." Jackson nods, a small smile on his face. "I know you're worried about me. I've been strong for a goddamn long time. I can keep going."

"What's all this emotional sap going on!?" I jump and look past Jackson's shoulder to see Kris waltzing in with random people and boxes of stuff.

"What the fuck Kris!? What are you doing here!?"

"To help you spruce this place up a bit! Plus Jackson told me what happened."

"Kris, shut up..." Jackson whispers before looking at me sheepishly.

"You big mouth." I glare at him as Kris side hugs me.

"How's my favourite girl?"

"She's your only girl, love." Kris laughs heartily as Mark walks in, shooting me a large smile.

"Mark! It's been so long! When did you come back?" Mark opens his arms and I dive for him, hugging him tightly.

"I missed you too sweets. I came back just yesterday. Don't worry, Kris caught me up with everything." I step back as Mark steals a quick kiss from Kris. "How are your boys? When can I meet them?"

"Mama?" I peer past the tall group of men to see Jungkook walk in the kitchen in his bunny onesie and his blankie.

"Lucky for you. Right now." I go pick up Jungkook as he rubbed his eyes sleepily. "Hey sweetie. Why aren't you sleeping?"

"Uncle Jackson..." I chuckle as Jungkook hugs my neck, resting his head on my shoulder.

"Kook, I would like for you to meet someone." Jungkook looks up sleepily and noticed Mark, pointing to him.

"Him?" I nod.

"This is uncle Mark." Jungkook looks at Mark and Kris, noticing how Mark held Kris to his side.

"Uncle!" Jungkook jumps out of my arm and Mark quickly catches him.

"How come he loves those two and is a brat to me?" Jackson mumbles behind me and I chuckle at his grumpy expression.

"Since y'all are here, help me prepare breakfast before the others wake up."

"Aye aye captain!" Kris calls out as Mark walks to the living room to spend time with Jungkook.

I'm glad they are getting along.

I wonder how the others will react.

And what about the tiny one in my room?

I shake my head from the thought and head upstairs to wake up my boys. As I walked past the living room, I noticed Jackson holding onto his shoes to his chest as he sat far away from Jungkook who played with Kris and Mark.

This weird boy.

I quietly open my bedroom door, balancing a tray of pancakes in one hand as I closed the door behind me. I tiptoe to my bed, placing the tray down in front of the lump hiding under my coat. I kneel down beside the bed, knocking on my bedside table. I see a sharp movement and I see my coat lifted slightly.

"Hey sweetie." I whisper and I catch the boys eyes before he hides under my coat again. "I brought you some pancakes." I speak softer and I see the coat lifted again. I know the boy was looking at the plate but he made no movement. "Do you want me to feed you?" There was no movement, no sound until I saw the coat move up and down like he was nodding. I slowly get up and sit on the bed, trying to not startle the boy.

Thank god I already cut the pancake into pieces before coming upstairs.

I don't want to scare him with a knife.

I take the fork and pick up a piece, lifting it up. The coat didn't move.

"Sweetie, I won't be able to feed you if you don't move the coat."

OMG!

He's taking the coat off!

I smile softly as the boy leans forward and eats the pancake, his small chubby hands gripping the coat.

His cheeks are so puffy and adorable!

I would love to squish them!

I suddenly notice the boy shift closer to me as I continued to feed him, smiling up at me every now and then. My heart races when he ends up cuddling into my side as I fed him the last pancake piece, his hand gripping my own.

"Do you want more?" The boy shakes his head no and leans against my arm, yawning out. I raise my other hand up, a little hesitant.

Will I scare him away?

I slowly bring my hand down and brush the boy's hair from his face, cupping his cheek and brushing my thumb across it gently. He sighs out and looks up at me, his wide brown eyes sparkling before he crawls into my lap, hugging me. Both my hands were up in shock as the boy snuggled into my shirt.

He's not afraid anymore!

I smile fondly, petting his head and rubbing his back as he fell asleep in my arms. I kiss his head and lay him back down on my bed, draping my coat around his body again. I pick up the tray and the empty plate, walking out of my bedroom and leaving the door slightly ajar.

You're safe now.

I won't let anything hurt you again.
