I think I ran a lot of red lights cause I came home quicker than I thought.
I jumped out of the car, not bothered with grabbing the stuff out from the boot and forced open the door with my keys. As soon as I do, the crying stops and Jackson walks up to me.
"Holy shit."
Jackson was a mess!
His clothes were wet at various places and covered in stains.
Did Jungkook just throw food at him!?
His hair was dishevelled and he was walking around with one shoe.
"I'm going home. Call me when you find my shoe." Jackson walks past me, tired and bent over. He waves goodbye before slamming the front door closed.
"Kookie?" I walk to the living room to see Jungkook sitting in the floor, tears running down his face. "Oh, baby." I pick him, wiping away his tears.
"Mama!" Jungkook wraps his arms around my neck and I pat his back, soothing him down till he was only hiccuping.
No more tears, thank god.
"Honey, why are you crying?" Jungkook doesn't answer but tightens his grip on me. "Kookie, do you not want me to buy your things?" I rock Jungkook in my arms.
"No."
"No? Do you not like Uncle Jackson?"
"No."
"But baby, he needs to look after you. I couldn't take you with me since I didn't have a seat for you."
"No."
You stubborn child.
I sigh out.
"Do you want to come with me?"
"Yesh."
At least I have the car seat now.
"Ok, sweetie. But we need to get you in some clean clothes." I take Jungkook up to my room and into the bathroom. I sit him down on the toilet lid and wet a rag with warm water. I carefully wiped Jungkook's face clear of any tears. He pouts at me and I smile at him. "There you go. No more tears." As I put the rag away, Jungkook puts his arm out for me to carry him.
This kid I swear.
I chuckle and pick him up, exiting the bathroom. "What do you want to wear today?" Jungkook points to another bunny onesie he owned and I took it out. I sit Jungkook on my bed and he stands up, with his arms out to his sides. I take his onesie off and place it in the hamper. As soon as I turn back around, Jungkook was jumping on my bed, butt naked but wearing his little undies. "Careful Jungkook! I don't want you falling off the bed." Jungkook bounces towards me, a big toothy smile on his face.
"Bunny!" I dress him up in his bunny onesie and pull the hoodie up on his head, the ears flopping in front of his face.
"You cutie!" I softly pinch Jungkook's cheeks and pick him up. "Ok, its time to buy you a bed and some extra clothes."
"Let's go Kookie." I take Jungkook seatbelt off and pick him up from his baby seat that I adjusted to the car before we left home. I lock the car and carry Jungkook in my arms as he looks around at the new scenery. He hugs my neck and places his head on mine, pointing out at various things.
"Birdie!" I chuckle as Jungkook jumps in my arms, seeing a flock of birds fly over us. As soon as we enter the shopping center, Jungkook hides his face in my neck.
"It's ok Kookie. No one is going to hurt you." Jungkook shakes his head and tightens his grip on me. "Ok, ok. Where do you want to go first? Clothes or bed?"
"Bed!" Jungkook looks at me and I nod. As I walk to the baby area, Jungkook smooshes his cheek on mine, holding on to me. Jungkook was wiggling around in my arms and I put him down on his feet. Before he could run off, I grab his hand.
"No Jungkook. I can't let you go. You'll get lost." Jungkook pouts at me but listens, walking beside me. After walking around for a bit, I found the perfect bed. Jungkook was only 5 years old, so I wanted to get him a bed but with rails so he doesn't accidentally roll off the bed.
"Do you want this one Kookie?" Jungkook looks at the bed then up at me and nods.
Ok, one done, one more to go.
"Let's get you some new clothes." After confirming the order and shipment of the bed, I head off to the clothes section. Jungkook only had a few clothes he owned from the orphanage and I wanted to get him some more.
"Bunny!" Jungkook tugs in my arm and I stop, seeing toys littered around near the clothing section.
Oh no.
"Later Kookie. I promise that once we finish shopping, we'll go see the toys. Ok?" Jungkook nods but pouts. I walk around, gathering clothes for Kookie and getting more bunny onesies, since he wanted them. I was looking at a pair of shoes I was going to get for Jungkook and look down to see him gone. "Kookie!?"
I can't believe I lost him already!
"Jungkook!?" I drop the shoes and walk out of the aisle.
Where is that kid!?
Before I had a major panic attack, I saw Jungkook running towards me with a grey stuffed bunny.
"Jungkook!"
"Mama!" Jungkook jumped into my arms, playing with the bunny. I frown at him and Jungkook looks down sadly, knowing he was in trouble.
"What did I say about running off? I could've lost you." Jungkook sniffles. "Don't cry Kookie. Please. I was just worried."
"I'm sowey." Jungkook looks at me and hands me the bunny. I was about to give it back to him when a woman carrying a crying child walked out of the aisle. She was furious and was walking my way.
This is not going to be good.
"Are you the mother of this child?" I nod. "Your son stole that stuffed toy right out of my son's hands." The woman huffed in anger and I look at Jungkook with wide eyes.
"Did you do that Jungkook?" Jungkook looks at me with a pout grabbing the toy from my hands.
"Mine!" Jungkook shouts, holding onto the bunny tightly in his arms as the other child wails at this.
"Jungkook!" I gasp and Jungkook holds onto the toy tighter.
"Well, are you going to do anything?"
"You do realise there are other toys in stock." I reply back to the furious mom.
"Do you even raise your child properly?" The woman scoffed and I stared at her with a brow raised.
"Excuse me, but this isn't the only one. It's not like it belonged to your kid first. You didn't buy it." I roll my eyes at her and she huffs before walking away with her crying child. Once she turns the corner, I look down at Jungkook who was happily playing with the bunny. "Jungkook." Jungkook looks at me and frowns sadly as he stops playing with the toy. "You can't snatch toys from other kids. It's not right. Especially if it belongs to them. Ok?"
"Okie." Jungkook mumbles sadly.
"Hey, I'm not mad. You just didn't know that." I smile at Jungkook before kissing his head. He smiles at me, playing with the bunny. "Let's go home now." I place Jungkook back on his feet and he grabs my hand.
Awww! This kid.
He holds my hand tightly and I grab the clothes I was going to buy. We both walk out of the shop with me carrying bags of clothes and Jungkook skipping next to me with his bunny. Opening the boot, I place the bags inside then close it and get Jungkook in his seat.
Time to go home.
