A Promise To The Dead

Tonight is the game, Demetri went home so he can do some vampire things he needed to do. Liam started to get worried about Scott, who hasn't been home from his date with Kira. Stiles was telling him that everything is fine when we entered the locker room,

"Everything's fine. I got a text from him this morning and he said he might be a little late."

"Well, how late is late? Is he always late? We're playing Devenford Prep again and this time it's an actual game. He shouldn't be late." Liam stared to get worried. I faced him, looking at how adorable he is when he's worried.

"Who shouldn't be late?" Coach said as he joined the conversation.

"Scott and Kira. They might be slightly late." I told him, nodding my head.

"Slightly late is still late. What are they doing?"

"They're doing something that's going to make them slightly late." Stiles said to him.

"What could Scott and Kira be doing right now that's more important than playing in the first game?"only if you knew coach, only if.

"Oh, Coach." I whispered to myself. I got dressed a waited for Liam and Stiles to come out and sit down with me.

"They're still not here." Liam told me as he sat down next to me.

"Okay, what's really going on?" I faced him. "Are you nervous about the full moon? It's not for another 24 hours." He looked at the moon. "Liam, you're gonna be fine. Okay? Just try not to rage out on anyone." I told him as I tied my shoelaces.

"You're not worried?" He looked at me and then looked at Stiles.

"Okay, I'm mildly concerned. Mildly." Stiles told him, taking out his phone.

"We're gonna lose without him."

"No, we're not. We can be just as good without Scott. Okay? I've been practicing. Let me tell you something. I'm getting good. Really good." Stiles smiles at him. I have him a serious face. Oh no. Stiles, let me tell you something, you're not that good, your decent, but not good. The game started and Stiles got knocked out. Liam and I walked next to him.

"Yeah. I'm gonna call Scott again." I notified him. I walked to my phone and called him. No answer. I'm starting to get worried. Today, I felt painful, sore. It might've been Scott getting hurt. Devenport scored a goal, again. Which means we're losing.

"Come on!" Coach yells out from the bleachers.

"All right. Neither of them are answering. I gotta go see what's going on." Stiles and I got up, but Liam grabbed my arm.

"You're leaving? What are you going to tell Coach?" We all turned to Coach. He threw his clipboard at the ground.

"Stupid! Stupid old..." he mumbles. Oh, he's mad.

"Uh, you don't tell him anything. Okay?" Stiles told Liam.

"Liam, you're gonna be okay. All right?" I patted his back and me and Stiles walked to Malia, telling her to look out for Liam and text us if Scott or Kira shows up. Stiles got a text from Derek, to come by the loft now. We ran to the jeep with Liam by our side and we drove there.

"What the hell happened?" I said as I ran in the loft, worried about my brother and Kira.

"It was supposed to be a date." Derek told me. Ever since we broke up, I haven't talked or seen him.

"They were both here?"

"And they're both gone." Breaden said after Stiles. My phone started to buzz and I picked up to Lydias voice.

"Hey." I said as I brushed my hair back from my face.

"Scott's been taken." She told me.

"Also Kira. We just don't know where." I paced around the room.

"Mexico. And if you want to save his life, that's where you're going too." Deatons voice came up. I looked at Stiles.

"What? What is it?" He walked to my side.

"We have to go to Mexico." I looked at him. "I'll call Malia and the Hastings to meet us up."
