Dear Journal,
Today was my first day back at school for the term. I'm glad I got to see my friends again, and was relieved when I saw I got an A on my English narrative assignment from last term. I showed it to my nan a few weeks ago, and she thought I should get an A for it, so she'll be happy for me too!
Not much really happened. The person in the devotional video I saw in morning home group this morning said to go out of our way to do something nice for someone today. I thought that was nice, but was worried that I wouldn't be able to help anyone, until the end of the day when I was leaving the Science Lab. One of my friends in my class, (we'll call her Skylar/Sky) walked over to me so we could walk out together. On our way out, I noticed someone left their laptop (which was in its bag) in the class. Lucky they have our names on the bags, (our school gives us our own laptop), so I picked it up and turned it around to see who's it was. Then I took it down to our lockers and when I couldn't find the boy it belonged to, I asked one of my other friends, (we'll call her Amanda), to take it up to him for me as I didn't know where his home group was, and she did. I knew I could trust Amanda to take it up for me because she's also his girlfriend, as well as the fact that they're in the same home group. (So I guess it was a kind act on both my part and Amanda's.) But yeah, even though he can be really rude sometimes, I'm glad he got his laptop back and that he hopefully doesn't get in trouble for forgetting it.

I also got my flu vaccination at the end of the day, and then dad got me a Metro Card and put $10 on it so I can start catching the bus home. The factory he used to work at closed down a few weeks ago, so he's out of work at the moment. But now that I can start catching the bus home, he can make sure his resume is up-to-date and start looking for a new job. He wants to get an afternoon shift, you see, so that way he'll be home in the morning so he can drive me to school, and then I can catch the bus home, leaving mum open to do any shift her work asks her to. (My mum works in a child care centre. Her usual hours are usually 9:30 - 5:30, 10:00 - 6:00 or 10:30 - 6:30, but they tend to vary.) This way mum will be able to open if they ask her to, whereas they couldn't when dad was still working because he started early.
Dad and Dylan (I mentioned Dylan in my first entry; he's one of my brothers {the 19 year old one}) are going to meet me at the shops across from my school tomorrow afternoon so as dad can get Dylan more Metro Credit. Then dad will go home with my things, (except my phone, student ID, and Metro Card), and Dylan will catch the bus home with me. That way he can show me properly what to do. (I've never been on a public bus before - only a school one. I can't use the school bus though as its fully booked out for the year.) I already know sort of what to do, but it will be good to have Dylan there with me for my first time on a bus, considering he takes them a lot. (Although he prefers to walk, he uses the bus when he has to as he doesn't have a driver's license. Neither does Jacob, {my eldest brother - he's 22}, for that matter.

Anyway, I have to go now. To anyone reading, I love you all! Don't change for anyone! Be yourself; you're beautiful just the way you are!

With love,
🌹Rose🌹
