Double the Trouble
"There you go~"
The nurse finished wrapping the bandage around Akira's arm and clipped it to make it steady. Akira touched the covered part of her right arm and glanced at the sticky oilments which were previously applied on her legs. Her hand was immediately slapped away by the nurse who gave her a concerned look.
"Don't touch that! Or you'll start bleeding uncontrollably again." she warned and tapped her clipboard, confirming that her examination had reached its end.
The ginger frowned slightly but obeyed to her commands, "I'm sorry, Shizune-san. Thank you for treating me though". Jumping off the examination chair, a pain shot the lower part of her knee but she didn't react at all at it. As her gaze fell on Shizune, she noticed that the nurse's face had a surprised expression on it and that made her tense up, "Wh-What? Did I do something I wasn't supposed to?"
The black-haired woman snapped out of her daze and shook her head, "It's just that no one thanks me nowadays. And believe me, I have at least five patients per day" she mused and left a small chuckle. Then, her dark gaze fell upon the student, her truthfully polite and kind smile never leaving her face, "Besides, you are a truly charming young man"
Akira couldn't help but blush softly at the nurse's statement, "Thanks". Waving friendly at her, the dressed-up agent exited the infirmary and escorted herself in the detention room.
As usual, Ibiki was the teacher who stayed to watch over the students and Hidan was already suited at the front. His face was beaten up pretty badly, a purple bruise extending from the end of his right eye down to his cheek. When his pink eyes caught sight of her, he growled lowly and looked like her was going to attack her any minute now. But with Ibiki-sensei in the room, all his plans were beyond impossible.
The mischievous teacher glanced indifferently at the newcomer and pointed at an empty seat besides Hidan, "Sit, Fukui."
Both students glared at each other momentarily with hatred burning in their eyes. When the ginger settled down, the teacher stood behind his desk and gave them a calm yet dangerous look, "We are going to have some fun today. Glad to see you again, Mr. Fukui. Now, all of you shut up and do nothing". His voice was truly calm but it was giving out a dangerous vibe which made them, even Hidan, to do as he had ordered.
Such a lovely teacher, Akira thought sarcastically. In any way, she wasn't intending to cause any more trouble. Taking out a book, she began reading the next chapter of it and didn't even pay attention to the curses Hidan was sending her from the side. However, her mind was floating in dreamland, imagining the reaction of her father when he would hear about her fight and see her bruises. The fact that he sent her in that school by blackmailing her was showing how much he cared about her, and that was what pissed her off badly.
I wonder how Deidara-kun and Itachi-senpai will react next time they will see me. Probably pretend they don't even know me since I almost beat the living light out of their friend. Great. Akira, shut up for a second, will ya? Arguing in her thoughts with herself wasn't the best option she could take but herself was the only person she could talk to at the moment.
"The Flowers of Evil, isn't it? A great masterpiece indeed" a gentle voice hissed from the seat next to her. The ginger turned her attention on the person and surprise struck her. The teenage boy had strange green hair, really spiky, pale skin like the snow and dangerously bright yellow eyes. He gave her a small smile and gestured to the book, "You have a nice taste in books"
Akira could swear that this guy wasn't in the detention room when she entered and Ibiki-sensei either hadn't noticed him or he simply didn't care at all. "Ah, thanks" she replied and focused her eyes again on the book.
However, the strange boy failed to notice her complete non-interest for interaction and continued blabbering nonstop, "I'm Shiro Zetsu! Nice to meet you. You must be one of the new students because I have never seen you before, right? I think yes because I would never miss someone who reads those kind of books and-"
"Akira Fukui" the shortie decided to interrupt him before he could blabber any further, "Nice to meet you too, Zetsu-kun. Yes, I'm new in this school"
The green head leaned forward on his desk and breathed out, "Call me Shiro. It is better and you may mess up me and my brother!"
"Brother?"
Shiro motioned to Hidan's direction and surprisingly, an identical student was sitting quietly besides an irritated Jashinist. The only difference between the two Zetsus was that the other one had a slighty tanned skin. Suddenly, his head snapped towards Shiro's direction and his eyes narrowed in a sharp glare, "Shut it, chatterbox"
Akira flinched from his general harshness but also from the hazardous venom which was dripping from his voice. He didn't seem friendly at all and something was telling her that it would be better if she was going to keep her distance from him. Her gaze flickered back on his twin who was scratching the back of his head and had an indifferent reaction about his brother's rude comment. "He isn't that polite, right?"
Shiro shrugged and tried to seem cool with the fact that the tanned student had made a bad first impression, "He is like that the most of the times, when it's the two of us. He's Kuro by the way". Akira locked gazes with Kuro for a few seconds before looking back at her book. Surprisingly, nobody bothered her for half an hour and that was almost a bliss for her. She had peace and quiet for once; neither her dad's yelling nor her life being in danger.
That was until a paper landed in front of her and disrupted her daydreaming. Her figure almost jumped up at the abrupt movement and she looked around, noticing nothing suspicious or the one who threw it at her. Her fingers trailed on the desk and in the right moment, she grabbed it and brought it close to her so no one else could see its contents. When she opened it and read it, the tempting phrase was stuck in her brain:
Wanna sneak out?
-Shiro
Her inner demon was arguing with her inner angel. Could she really do this? Had she the guts to try something so risky that could cost her already bad reputation? Her brown eyes fixed on Ibiki-sensei who was playing with a pocket knife. Could she really get past this man without being killed or noticed? The questions were making her dizzy but she soon realized that this couldn't be true. No one, nobody would actually propose something which seemed so. . . impossible to be reached.
Are you serious?
- Akira
Tossing it back to the pale Zetsu without being noticed- too lucky- she waited for his response, Almost immediately, the white paper was sent back to her with an answer:
Don't tell me you have already chickened out! We have to get out of here or else we will die out of boredom or hunger. Kuro and I are hungry anyways so why not leaving? It's up to you whether to follow us or not.
- Shiro
Clenching the paper tightly in her hand, she pressed her lips in a thin line and wrote a quick answer to it. Akira wouldn't join their runaway decision. She didn't have the guts and courage to do something as risky as that and in her current condition, she couldn't even walk without being in pain. When she was ready to send it back, she grunted inwardly and opened it again. Deleting her answer and replacing it with another one, she sent it back that time. When Shiro read it, a smirk was plastered on his face. They were on.
. . .
A soft knock was heard on the door and a teacher with a blunt expression on his face entered the classroom. He walked up to the detention teacher and whispered something in his ear which made Ibiki clench his fist. The blunt-looking teacher left with Ibiki standing up and staring at the not-so-innocent students.
"Okay brats, I'm going to the office. Nobody move and we will have a better relationship, got that?" It was a matter of seconds before he left the detention room and Akira with the twins stood up. But they weren't alone. The fourth student of the room stood up and exchanged deadly looks with the ginger. The Zetsus looked at both and Shiro was the first one to realize that their relations were. . . not the best.
Akira stood straight in front of him and looked at her enemy straight in the eye, without any hesitation. "What are you doing?"
"That's my line, asshole. What the fuck are you doing?" Hidan growled lowly and looked down at the shorter student. His murderous thoughts were leading him in a one-way destination: sacrifice Akira to Jashin.
However, before any of them could harm each other for the second time in a day, Shiro got in between them and pushed them away from each other. "I think you should stop fighting if you want to get out of here. No one wants us to get caught by Ibiki-sensei, moreover. Am I right?"
Gazes locked, fists were clenched and the two of them cursed in the inside. The small clash was over and they were thinking about what Shiro had said; no one wanted to get captured by Ibiki-sensei, especially when trying to sneak out of his class. Both nodded and walked quickly towards the open window where Kuro was standing at. When the brown eyes of the girl looked out, she almost shrieked. The ground was at least five meters away from the window and if someone would jump on it without anything to support him, let's say that he would be paying a visit to the hospital.
"A-Are we going to jump on the ground?" Akira asked and when Shiro nodded, she gulped in fear. "But it is so high! We will die for sure!"
Hidan scoffed from the side and stood up on the frame of the window, looking down on the harsh ground which seemed to be so far away. "You really are a coward, asshole." and with that, he jumped off the window and headed towards the ground. Akira ran towards the window and her heart began racing like crazy when she saw him jumping. She was ready to shout for help but in the end, she found herself staring at Hidan who was standing on the ground, safe and sound.
The Jashinist flashed an arrogant smirk and pointed up at her, motioning to her to come. Akira bit her lower lip and looked at the ground, fearing for her dear life. "I. . . I can't" she muttered and shook her head.
"Come down here, you ass!"
"I can't! Too high, dickhead!"
"The fucking old man will come back! It is now or never!"
"Never then!"
"I will catch you, okay, you suckass?!"
The last words which escaped Hidan's mouth seemed to be impossible. He, her most hated person, was going to catch her while she would be falling on the ground, five meters high? Her mouth was open in surprise and her body took a step back. She wouldn't do it, not even once in a million times. Her foot took another step back but she was taken in surprise when she felt herself being pushed and the pavement disappearing from her feet. She was flying off the window. Her body was on the air and she was falling on the ground with an incredible speed, like a shooting star. Bringing her hands forward in order to take a lighter impact, she shielded her eyes and waited for the crushing pain to fill her bones and internal organs.
Yet, it never came. She felt two strong arms grabbing her from her waist and bringing her down. The harshness of the hands made her shriek and open her eyes, only to meet Hidan's pink orbs. That's when she realized that Hidan was holding her like the professional ice skaters- her body being held against his while he was keeping her up by supporting her waist with his hands. If they had a better relationship, she would feel butterflies in her stomach but the sight was bringing her only one emotion: disgust.
"L-Let go!"
"As you wish~"
Bang. Akira fell on the ground on her butt and she let out a groan, cursing mentally for her rushed actions. Standing up, she was ready to emerge on the Jashinist but Ibiki-sensei's voice coming from the room was signalling their runaway. Without even saying something, both stood up and began running as fast as they could out of the school. They could swear that they could hear Ibiki cursing but they weren't sure as the adrenaline was pumping in their veins.
When they passed by the school's gates, Akira began laughing hysterically. She was running fast with her feet aching like hell but she was laughing, despite the burning sensation in her lungs. Hidan looked at her like she was completely insane but he just continued running with her. Both were heading towards a specific direction until Hidan took the right road and stopped running. Akira stopped running too and looked at Hidan with confusion.
"Where are you going? This way" the ginger mused and pointed at the destination.
Hidan shook his head and sighed, pointing at his direction, "From here. Follow me like the fucking midget you are." Before Akira could protest, he was already tugging her wrist (despite his will not to) and pulling her with him.
An irk mark popped on Akira's head and she punched his arm, "Let me go, you jerk!" As she was yelling at him, her voice faded out when she noticed two black dots moving from the end of the street towards their direction. "What. . . What is that. . ." As they neared closer, she recognized two figures running towards them with black cloaks hiding their bodies. Black cloaks with red clouds printed on them. Akira could recognize that sign; it was the Akatsuki gang's sign. She relaxed on Hidan's grip but immediately tensed up when she saw something glistering on the sunlight. A knife.
The ginger tried not to panic and noticed that Hidan was relaxed too. Akira abruptly grabbed the chance and freed herself from him, taking the opposite direction and running away from the two figures. Hidan's screams were heard behind her but that didn't matter; she was screwed. Completely screwed. Her instinct was yelling at her to run away and not look back or she would end up dead in an alley. Her feet pushed forward but with each step, she was becoming more exhausted and she was struggling to keep up with her pace. Finally, she reached a dark alley and made a run for it. However, she stopped right when she realized that the alley had a dead end.
"Crap, crap, crap. . ." she kept muttering curses continuously under her breath with her heart beatings becoming faster and faster. They are going to kill me. I'm sure of it, was all she could think when she brought the image of the knife again in her head.
Suddenly, her eye caught the trashcans which were suited besides her. The footsteps were coming closer and she had no time to think of anything else. Struggling, she managed to climb up the trashcans and jump on the wall which seemed shorter when she was standing up on them. However, the other side was seeming far away from the ground and that was a problem. The footsteps were a few meters until the alley and she was still think about it.
It is a do or die, she thought and eyed the ground. I have no Hidan to catch me this time but. . . I can do it. Pushing herself on the edge of the wall, she jumped. Akira was on the air once again and she felt her breath being taken away for once more. Regaining her composure, she precisely landed on the ground and rolled on it a few times. In the end, she was safe and sound.
Akira stood up with a triumphant smile on her face and the girl began making her way out of the second alley. However, two figures appeared at the beginning of it and began walking towards her. It was once again. Akira backed off and felt her back hitting the wall behind her but this time. . . This time, she had no way out. She was trapped between the wall and the two persons in front of her. The biggest surprise was when she recognized the two males in front of her. They were standing merely two meters away and they were identical; they were the Zetsu twins. Huge smirks being plastered on their faces, giving off a sadistic vibe.
Nothing could save her now. She was trapped. She was going to die.
Completely screwed.
