December 19, 1773, Afternoon

Rumor has been going around lately that on the 16th of this month that 46 tons of tea (which belonged to a company by the name of East Indian Company) had been dumped into the Boston Harbor. It had been destroyed, they said. A few people loyal to the crown was furious about this, but I personally understand why those rebels did it. If they did do it, that is. I believe that it COULD happen but....I don't think they dumped 46 tons of it into the harbor. I mean, isn't that bad for the animals swimming in the water? I don't think what they did was smart.

I don't really think that this was justified. I think they should all just shut their damn mouths, pay the taxes and just drink the tea. If they all did that, like I have been doing, then we could put this silly conflict behind us. It's just tea. It's better drinking that than boiled water. Eck!
