March 20, 1770 Afternoon

This has gone too far! Tabitha had cut her hair again before she left, I know it! I was cleaning her room when I found her hair in a small pile on the floor. Ugh, this is getting on my nerves. But, I have found her old diary so maybe that will have some clues as to where she has gone and why.

The entry that spiked my interest was this one:

"I do not understand my mother. Doesn't she see?! I wish to be a man, not a woman! She forces me into dresses and is trying to get me to marry a man soon! I do not like this one bit. I wish to wear men's clothes and marry someone to love me, someone who I want to marry. But alas, she tried to make me a 'lady'. I cannot take this any longer. I will run far away again, and change my name to Tommy. Yes, that will work. I have told Rufus my whereabouts, and he swore to never tell a single soul, not even Mother or Father.

Goodbye, diary. I will write my stories in a new diary. I will come back for you another day, or have Rufus bring you to me. Goodbye. -Tommy"
