Escape
He wants to talk? (Y/n)'s eyebrows snapped together while she reread the words. Lightly groaning, she rubbed her tired eyes with the heels of her hands. Oh my God, he wants to talk...
In addition to the damn near heart attack she had experienced after reading his note, the unsettling feeling of dread and anxiety had taken over and was rabidly gnawing on the pit of her stomach. That and a mix of butterflies that wouldn't calm the fuck down made her feel worse.
Propping both elbows atop her desk, she let the note slip from her fingers and buried her face in her hands.
"Oh God no," she shook her head and let out a mix of a whine and a sob. "No. No. No. No. He wants to talk...noooo..."
She allowed herself to wallow in her despair for a few more seconds before a small, forced chuckle escaped her lips. Her fingers slid back over her head to tug at her hair and she stared at the empty space in front of her desk with wide red-rimmed eyes.
She was too sleepy for this bullshit.
Her (e/c) eyes fell back on the note on her desk and she held her clasped hands in front of her face.
Why did he want to talk all of a sudden? What was there to talk about? Well, she knew there was something to talk about but hadn't she already made her intentions clear? Very clear to be exact.
And what in the fresh titty was up with that face at the end? Was it Midoriya's way of making his request sound less hostile and nerve-wracking? To make her think that nothing bad was going to happen? Because it was doing the freaking opposite.
Unless...
She sucked in a sharp breath, her eyes widening. With a shake of her head, she pressed her palms to the sides of her face. No. No way. We're not thinking about that possibility now.
But what if-
I should answer this. He's probably waiting.
Ignoring her brain because fuck its bad vibes, (Y/n) grabbed her bag from the floor, zipped it open and rummaged through it for a pen. On finding it, she took it out, together with her notebook in preparation for homeroom. Not bothering with her bag and leaving it on her lap, she placed the book on her desk and the note over it.
With eyes glued on the note and expression hardening, she clicked her pen.
***
(Y/n) incessantly jiggled her foot while she tapped her pen against the side of her desk.
"-And that concludes everything on our coverage of A Page Of Madness. Any questions will be asked at the very end of the lesson. Now, for your homework today, you will be writing an essay on..."
Cementoss' voice stuck like underwater background noise to the girl's ears as she stole another glance at the time on the overhead clock.
Can this clock move any slower? She chewed on her bottom lip and looked back to Cementoss. He had written something on the board. Capitalized letters with numbers next to them. It took (Y/n) a few seconds to realize it was the next topic they were to tackle along with the page numbers it was covered on. Were they supposed to read or write notes on it?
Nevertheless, she had more important things to focus on.
Audibly exhaling, (Y/n) pressed her hand to her stomach and winced. Her insides were churning and cramping, making her feel achy and nauseated. Coupled up with the constant feeling of a chill tingling down her spine, her head was killing her, a product of too much overthinking and lethargy.
She couldn't help herself, really. Left alone with her brain for nearly five hours to think of a hundred different ways the talk would've gone was bound to leave her with a pounding headache. Plus, it didn't help that all of those possibilities kept ending up the same way. With her crying in the toilet because she had been rejected.
And no matter how many times she had tried to convince herself that maybe, just maybe everything would go well, her negative thoughts always overrode her optimism. Thus ending back up in square one.
Letting out a soft groan, (Y/n) placed her pen on her book and pressed her fingers to her temples. She then slowly began massaging them. She closed her eyes, took in a deep breath and slowly breathed out.
Opening her eyes, she glanced back at the clock.
Just one hour and fifteen minutes left for lunch.
The girl exhaled noisily through pursed lips and continued her ministrations on her temples.
Just one hundred and fifteen more breathing exercises left to go then.

"-/n)."
Huh?
"(Y/n)..."
Ugh. No.
"(Y/n), wake up."
Maybe if I ignore them, they'll go away.
"(Y/n)!!"
(Y/n)'s eyes flew open with a jolt, her vision first meeting with darkness and the smell of paper drifting to her nose. She blinked repeatedly while her hazy mind steadily cleared up to recognize the background sounds to be screeching noises coming from things being scraped on the floor. She realized that the darkness was caused by her head lying between her folded arms and she slowly lifted her head.
"(Y/n)?"
Said girl squinted her lidded eyes at the wall clock and stared at it.
Bloody hell, I fell asleep?
"Uh, (Y/n)...are you okay? You're worrying me."
She held up a finger at the girl standing in front of her desk, not even bothering to look at her.
"Can you like, give me a minute?"
"Um...okay..."
Fucking hell...With a groan, she ran a hand down her face and laid her forehead on top of the desk.
Once she was coherent enough to face reality, she lifted her head up once more to face the worried girl.
"Are you okay?" Uraraka asked once again, this time slower. "You look like you had a nightmare."
The girl leaned back into her chair and ran her hands down her face to sober herself up.
"I'm fine," she said. She scowled at her raspy voice. "Just sleepy."
Looking around the class, she noticed that most people were not present, the remaining still taking their time to get to the cafeteria. She looked back at the board and stared at it for a moment. It was clean, with no writing. She could've sworn that...
"I slept through History?" the girl asked, looking back at Uraraka.
"Yeah. All of it."
(Y/n) nodded with a hum and looked back at the board. She must've fallen asleep during her breathing exercises. Those temple massages really worked wonders.
She continued staring at the board for a moment, still feeling the effects of sleep throughout her body and visible on her wan face.
"Weird how Midnight didn't say anything," she mumbled under her breath but Uraraka managed to catch what she said.
"Actually," (Y/n)'s eyes went back to Uraraka. "She did call you a couple times but after realizing that you won't wake up, she let you be."
"That's weird," a line appeared between her brows. "She's pretty enthusiastic with that whip of hers."
Stretching her lips to the side, Uraraka lifted her shoulder in a shrug.
What (Y/n) didn't know was that Uraraka had only told her the half-truth.
She had omitted the part where Midnight, after giving up on trying to wake her up, loudly concluded to herself that maybe a certain boy kept her awake the whole night. It had caused quite an uproar throughout the whole class, prompting the believed victim of (Y/n)'s feelings, Katsuki, together with the actual victim of (Y/n)'s feelings, Midoriya, to wallow in a sea of teasing, wolf whistles, and embarrassment. How she'd managed to sleep through that commotion was ungodly. But she did and boy was she lucky to have missed that.
Pressing her lips together in a thin line, Uraraka stared at (Y/n) with an unreadable expression on, watching as the other girl leisurely stretched back in her chair. As the good friend she was, who was she to tell her that something like that happened?
It was all for her. To save her from the embarrassment. Of course it was. It's always been for her. She was her best friend, right? She was just being a nice friend. How could she not be? Could she not see that? That every single thing was always for her-
Choking up a strangled laugh, she smiled at (Y/n). "Well, now that you're finally awake, let's go to the cafeteria."
(Y/n) finished stretching, satisfied with how refreshed she felt after getting an hour of sleep in. She heaved out a relaxed exhale before straightening up with a nod.
"Yeah sure."
After placing her pen in the middle of her book, slightly frowning at how crinkled the page was after lying on it, she closed it and rose from her chair. Just as she was about to start heading out with Uraraka, a voice stopped her in her tracks.
"(Y/n)? Can we talk?"
Shit. She had completely forgotten about the note.
Aware of how her heart had begun to speed up and her palms had begun to sweat, she eyed the open door. She had half a mind to make a run for it.
Brushing away those tempting thoughts with a sharp intake of air, she reluctantly turned to face Midoriya.
Her chest immediately tightened. Her eyes locked onto his for the first time since the previous night and she felt her knees go weak. Memories of the previous night replayed in her mind, making her cheeks flare up and avert her eyes away from his. She honestly wasn't ready to face him yet.
Clearly having not have expected to reach that far, the boy began playing with his fingers, a shaky smile forming on his lips. His eyes kept darting between (Y/n) and the desk next to her as if asking for some guidance from it.
"(Y/n), we really really need to talk," he said. He then slightly winced and sheepishly turned his gaze to the side when he felt like his request sounded a bit too demanding. "Tha-That is, um, if you want to...I know you said that you didn't want to but I just can't leave things how they are now. A-And, seeing you since morning, makes me feel so guilty," he let out a frustrated sound and rubbed the side of his neck. "Look, I... I just don't like how we're not talking (Y/n), so please, can we clear things up?"
(Y/n) internally screamed.
She had no idea what she was supposed to say to him. Her mind turned up like a blank canvas. The option of leaping out the window was also a no so she had no choice but to reply.
Inwardly sighing in defeat, she opened her mouth to speak when the words suddenly died in her throat, a small squeak coming out instead.
Cue more internal screaming.
Embarrassed beyond compare, (Y/n) snapped her mouth shut and turned her face away from him. A flush crept up her neck and ears as she felt his eyes roam all over her face. She dug her nails into the skin of her palms. If he'd just stop looking at her...
Midoriya panicked. Had he said something wrong? Why wasn't she saying anything? Did he scare her off so badly that she didn't want to look at him anymore?
"Deku, why don't you give her some time?"
Midoriya looked at the girl who had said that, noticing only at that moment that she was present as an audience. He went to speak but Uraraka beat him to it.
"You did out her secret so, if you don't mind, would you give her some space?"
Despite the pleading look the brunette was giving him from over (Y/n)'s shoulder, Midoriya still didn't feel like it was right leaving things as they were between him and (Y/n). He hated all that tension and awkwardness. All he wanted was his friend back. For them to talk like they used to. To hang out like they used to.
With that mindset, he turned to (Y/n), only for his determination to dry out when she still refused to meet his eyes.
Shoulders slumping in defeat, he sighed and ran his fingers through his curls.
"Okay, well," he gave (Y/n) a small smile, even though she wouldn't see it. "If you're not feeling comfortable about talking about it then, some time maybe?"
"Thank you, Deku."
Midoriya's eyes fell on the girl who had answered for (Y/n) and weakly nodded. "Yeah."
Before he turned to leave, Midoriya spared one last glance at (Y/n). She still wasn't looking at him. Feeling dejected, Midoriya reluctantly turned and left.
Glancing at the door to ensure he had left, Uraraka gently took (Y/n)'s hand with a soft 'C'mon' and began leading her towards the door.
(Y/n) allowed herself to be lead, all the while stewing in her own juice.
"Are you okay?" Uraraka asked once they were out of the stuffy class.
Oh gosh, what is wrong with me? Why did I do that? Why was I refusing to look at him? Fuck, he must now think I'm a total snob. I ruined my chances. I'm the worst. I'm garbage upon garbage. I don't deserve to stand in his presence anymore. "I'm fine."
The brunette nodded and let go of her hand. They continued to walk in silence for a bit before (Y/n) broke it.
"I'm not mad at him, you know."
Raising a brow, Uraraka tilted her head. "You're not?"
(Y/n) paid the girl beside her a sidelong glance and shook her head.
Uraraka remained silent for a bit, eyes on the path in front of them, and then: "Oh."
(Y/n) continued stealing glances at Uraraka, paying note of how her expression went flat the moment she said she wasn't mad at Midoriya and hadn't changed since. It looked to her like something was really bugging her. Like she had something on her mind to say but had chosen not to.
Looking away from the brunette, she chewed on the inside of her cheek.
Well, whatever it was, she didn't think she was ready to hear it.

The cafeteria, or in other words a reincarnation of the school gym, was a bustling place of laughter and chatter. As more students trickled into the large hall and filled the tables, eager to stuff themselves with the delicious smelling food while exchanging meaningless gossip, the room erupted with a cacophony of sorts, a competition to see whose voice was louder than the next.
In contrast to all the ruckus, (Y/n)'s new table was one of the most orderly. Occupied by her, Uraraka, and four other third years who kept their voices to a minimum, it wasn't all that bad.
That is, if you don't count how much (Y/n) would rather be sitting at her usual table than be there.
With her cheek resting against her palm and her other hand mindlessly pushing around the yakisoba in her bowl with her chopsticks, her eyes trailed back to the table Midoriya was occupying. From where she sat, his table was five tables in front of her to the right, giving her a diagonal but clear view of the table's occupants. Convenient and reliable.
She sighed as she stared wistfully at the back of his head for the nth time since she sat at her new table with Uraraka.
Speaking of Uraraka, they weren't even talking as expected.
(E/c) eyes slid towards the girl sitting in front of her. Ever since they sat down, the brunette had been busy multitasking between eating and texting to engage in a conversation with (Y/n).
Normally it would've bugged her, but she settled for the fact it wasn't Midoriya she was texting since she could practically see him chatting up a storm with Iida and Shouto. As long as it wasn't him she was texting, she didn't really care to ask after that.
Exhaling audibly through her nose, she looked back at Midoriya's table, half wishing she was there next to him, encouraging him to eat more katsudon so that his cheeks would fill out for her to pinch later on in life.
Absentmindedly, she let her eyes sweep over the table before landing back on Midoriya's head.
Her eyes then did a double-take when she noticed a pair of eyes staring directly at her. She raised her head and looked over her shoulder to see if he was looking at someone else behind her. Noting that no one else was looking at his general direction, she looked back at Shouto and held up her hand, palm facing up in question.
From his position, in front of Midoriya, Shouto subtly held up his phone from under the table, making (Y/n) frown in puzzlement.
His phone?
Seeming to catch onto her confusion, Shouto brought his phone back down and began typing something into it.
A ping sounded off from (Y/n)'s phone and she picked up her phone placed on the table. Tapping on the screen twice, she looked down at the message appearing on the notification bar. Placing her chopsticks over her bowl, she tapped on it to read.
Tododonkey 🔥❄️:
I see you've flown the coop
Oh, that's what he meant. She glanced up at him, her eyes meeting his in shared understanding before looking back down to type in a response.
(Y/n):
Uraraka and I decided to|
Slightly frowning, she quickly backspaced to write anew.
(Y/n):
You and I both know I can't sit there. Especially after what happened last night ●︿●
Tododonkey 🔥❄️:
I don't see what you're worried about. No one's not even talking about you.
(Y/n):
That's not the issue. It's hoe Izu would act that I'm worried about
(Y/n):
*how
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
Now that you mention it. He does seem more relaxed without you here
(Y/n) ignored the slight twinge in her chest but brushed it off nevertheless. Her thumbs did a little dance over the screen as she thought of what she'd reply with. Her mind went back to the note she had received in the morning and debated on whether it was a good idea to tell him.
Figuring it wouldn't hurt since she had somehow confided in him about the matter by asking for advice, she went ahead to type.
(Y/n):
By the way, since we're talking about him, he asked to talk before lunch.
His reply was quick, no doubt curious.
Tododonkey 🔥❄️:
What did you say?
(Y/n):
That he can kiss my ass cheeks.
When Shouto took longer than usual to text back, (Y/n) looked up to the boy across the room and snorted upon seeing his slightly taken aback expression. Deciding to clear up the intentional misunderstanding, she sent another text.
(Y/n):
I'm joking. I apologized.
(Y/n):
I also told him to forget whatever happened between us.
Tododonkey 🔥❄️:
Are you sure you're handling all this the right way?
(Y/n):
Hey, in my defense you told me to do what I thought was right.
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
He mentioned Uraraka's name. Look up. He's wondering where the both of you are
With those words, (Y/n) instantly looked up towards their table. Sure enough, Midoriya was looking around the cafeteria for the two girls.
Her heart stuttered when green eyes met with hers but the feeling immediately turned into despair when he immediately broke off the eye contact to look down at his food.
(Y/n) wanted to cry. Chewing on the inside of her cheek, she went back to her phone.
(Y/n):
Oh my God, he looked away the minute he saw me o(╥﹏╥)o
(Y/n):
He's still weirded out by me, isn't he?
(Y/n):
o(>< )o
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
Calm down
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
He probably saw something more ugly looking ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭
(Y/n)'s dejected expression turned into a blank look as she stared at the text. She looked up to glare at Shouto from where she was. He was still staring down at his phone, waiting for her answer.
Scowling even more, (Y/n) decided to give him the reply he so waited for.
(Y/n):
Hey, guess what ಠ_ಠ
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
What?
(Y/n):
You can
Tododonkey 🔥❄:
You can?
You can no longer send Direct Messages to this number. Learn more
Shouto blinked in surprise at the words displayed at the bottom of his phone's screen.
It was the eighth time that month she had blocked him and it was beginning to become a concern. Had he said something wrong again? Or did he by any chance use the wrong face to convey that 'this message is not in any way hostile or offensive'?
Tucking his phone into his pocket, he wondered if maybe it was time to make another appointment with his texting etiquette teacher, Midoriya.
"Is Mina still coming?"
(Y/n) looked up from her phone to Uraraka, the frown on her face disappearing.
"I guess so..." she shrugged. "I saw her run off with Kirishima somewhere. She'll be back soon."
She was about to look back down at her phone when she noticed Uraraka's grim face. She rose a questioning brow. "You cool over there?"
Uraraka sighed and nodded. She shut her phone, obviously done with whoever she was texting with, and placed it on the table. "I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind."
Curiosity sparking in her eyes, (Y/n) put her phone down next to her bowl to give her full attention.
"Like what?" at Uraraka's hesitation, (Y/n) folded her arms on top of the table and leaned forward. "You can always share with me, you know. I won't tell."
"It's not that I'm worried about you telling," Uraraka blew out her cheeks and began picking at her food with her chopsticks. "It's actually the opposite. I don't want it to sound like I'm being selfish or anything."
(Y/n) slowly nodded to herself. Something wasn't feeling right about where the conversation was heading.
"Come on," her stupid mouth continued. "Nothing you say will sound selfish to me. Besides, even if it does, don't we all have a right to be a little selfish sometimes?"
Uraraka stared at the pieces of takoyaki in her rice, silent in thought, before a sigh escaped her lips. She looked up from her food and nodded.
"You're right," she airily chuckled. "I guess it won't hurt to say."
"See? Now tell me what's up. Before Mina gets here."
In a blink of an eye, Uraraka went from crestfallen to a stuttering, blushing mess.
"W-well, um. It'll kinda sound weird but..." she cleared her throat and averted her eyes away from (Y/n). "You know, now that, you're-you have feelings for Bakugou and not Deku...is it okay if I..."
Letting out a mix of a groan and a sigh, Uraraka covered her flushed face with her hands and slightly shook her head. She pressed her hands to her cheeks and stared down at the table in frustration.
"Ugh, nevermind," she sank lower into her seat and drew her bottom lip between her teeth. "...It's stupid."
(Y/n) went poker-faced as she stared at Uraraka in silence. Her clouded eyes roamed all over the girl's red face before looking her up and down.
Never in her damn life had she had the terrible urge to say 'Wow'. Repeatedly.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to say something, a tray was slammed on the table next to her.
"Sorry to keep you guys waiting!" Mina plopped on the chair next to (Y/n) with a chuckle. Missing the disgusted glance (Y/n) threw at her tray, she pulled it closer to her before grabbing her chopsticks. She then sent the two girls a grin. "What'd I miss?"
(Y/n) didn't miss the panic that crossed the brunette's and played it off by picking up her chopsticks from the side of her bowl.
"Uraraka here," she coolly began as she stabbed at a piece of chicken in her noodles with much force than necessary, making Uraraka stiffen. "Was telling me about how a great idea it would be to hit the public bath with the girls on Wednesday afternoon."
Uraraka blinked in confusion. "I was?"
Mina turned to Uraraka with an eyebrow raised. "You were?"
"She was," (Y/n) confirmed before shoving the meat into her mouth with a smile.
Suddenly, Uraraka burst into an exaggerated guffaw. "Oh, right. Yeah...I figured it would be a nice uh, opportunity to wind up, you know?"
"Ooh," the pink-haired girl clapped her hands while wiggling her shoulders. "Any special occasion?"
"Oh, not really," Uraraka, having finally relaxed, sent (Y/n) a grin. "But we can also celebrate (Y/n) bravely coming out to the world about her crush on Bakugou."
"Wow," Mina exclaimed under her breath as she turned to (Y/n) with a grin.
"Aww, " (Y/n) placed a hand to her chest and smiled. "That's so sweet of you, Uraraka."
Said girl reciprocated the smile with her own sickly sweet one. "Only the world for you, (Y/n)."
Mina's grin slowly faltered as her eyes darted back and forth between the two. She pursed her lips and leaned away from (Y/n) a little bit.
Her eyes narrowed at the two girls who had gone back to eating as if nothing had happened. Something didn't smell right with the atmosphere and it wasn't the tofu she had served on her tray.
A loud ping sound from her phone stole her attention away from the girls and she picked up the phone she had placed on her table.
Sending the two one last suspicious look, she quickly replied to the text message before deciding to go through her feed. A few minutes of scrolling later, she let out a disappointed whine which alerted the two girls.
"I still can't believe Yume no Sheika hasn't posted on their page yet," she rested her cheek on her palm and frowned down at her screen. "They usually do."
(Y/n) swallowed before speaking. "Yume no Sheika...is it that band with the blonde douchenozzle as its lead singer?"
Uraraka snorted. "Douchenozzle."
(Y/n) sent her a quick glance but didn't say anything.
"Hey, Reo is hot," Mina playfully glared at (Y/n). "Sure, he's...challenged but he's hot."
"Sure," the girl nodded before going back to her food.
"Give him a chance. Who knows?" (Y/n) looked back at the girl. "Maybe under all that, well, staged meanness and celebrity pressure, he's just a sweet guy who is forced to hide all that cinnamon roll-y character and develop a thick skin to deal with the fame and hate that goes with it."
The (h/c)-haired girl cast her vacant gaze to the side and then shrugged.
Mina pouted. "I'm serious."
"I literally haven't even said anything."
"But your expression did," Mina rolled her eyes and went back to her phone. She scrolled up a bit, tapped here and there, typed in something and scrolled down some more. "Anyway, here. Reo once posted a video of him dancing in the shower. It's got like five hundred thousand hearts."
The girl turned her phone around to show the girls a video displaying some blonde guy with blue eyes belting out song lyrics while dancing in the shower.
When it ended, both girls shrugged and went back to what they were previously doing.
"Eh. It's moderate."
"Yeah. Not that inviting."
Offended by their less than enthusiastic reactions, Mina turned her phone back around with a scoff. "You two are only saying that because you both have guys you find hotter than the rest."
Uraraka choked on her octopus.
Even (Y/n) herself couldn't control the blush that crept up her neck at the mental image of Midoriya in the shower. But at least she was sober enough to remember her situation.
"I don't find Bakugou hot."
Mina narrowed her eyes at her. "So you only like him for his personality?"
(Y/n) made a face as she absentmindedly twirled her chopsticks into her noodles. "...Touché..."
"I don't get it," both girls turned to Uraraka. "Why Bakugou?" She then quickly added as an afterthought. "Not that I find it weird or anything."
Of course, you don't. (Y/n) shrugged and slurped some noodles into her mouth.
"I don't know," she said after swallowing. "He's just...there I guess."
"Just there?"
(Y/n) turned to Mina. "He's not what I really want?"
"What do you mean?"
It means I don't wanna talk about this thing so drop it already!
"Ugh, I don't know. I want a lot of things. I'm...confused, okay?" She shrugged once more and kept her downward gaze at her food. "What I want, probably doesn't want me. And now I'm forced to pretend that I want what I, I used to want but I don't want right now but then at times I want it and then I don't want it again. Do you get me?"
Mina and Uraraka exchanged confused looks before Mina spoke up. "Are you sure all that wanting is good for your health?"
"I get it. You want a lot of things that you can't get because of one reason or the other?"
(Y/n) gave Uraraka a small smile. "Something like that."
"So, is one of those things you want Bakugou?"
"I don't know," she winced. "Do I want him?"
Mina placed her hand on (Y/n)'s arm, making her turn to her. "Do you want him? We can't answer that for you. Midoriya might've announced that you like him but we haven't heard it directly from you. Which means that we don't know how you feel. For all we know, it could've been a lie."
"But I've noticed that there's been some tension between you and Bakugou," Uraraka pitched in. "I don't know what's been going on but it's the most interaction you guys have had since we started school. I don't mean to be nosy but, somehow I feel like, you do feel something for him."
"From what she said," Mina added with a smile. "We're here to listen when you're ready and hopefully, help you in this moment of confusion. But first, you have to be the one who knows what you feel."
What I feel huh...
(Y/n) looked down at her half-finished bowl and pressed her lips together. Now that she noticed, how on Earth did Lunch Rush get those noodles to look extra sleek? And that sauce though, brings out the color of the noodles...
What do I feel...
"So, have you figured it out yet?"
(Y/n) looked up from her food to Mina.
"Yeah."
"Oh?" Mina had the audacity to look surprised by her quick answer. She glanced at Uraraka before leaning closer to (Y/n) with a smirk. "Okay then, how do you feel?"
"Hungrier than I did when I first sat down," the girl ignored the confused looks and picked up her chopsticks together with her bowl. She then sent the girls a grin. "Now, if you two would excuse me, Imma dig into this food first before any of that bullshit, 'kay?"
Mina's shoulder slumped in resignation as she let out a sigh. She propped up her cheek on her palm as she watched (Y/n) slurp down her food. She glanced at Uraraka, who was staring at (Y/n) in amusement and looked back at the girl with a chuckle.
"Well, I guess things like these do need time so, treat yourself."
(Y/n) lowered her bowl and turned to her with cheeks full and round with food. A dangling noodle slipped from the corner of her lips and dropped onto the table but she didn't take note of it. "Were you shaying shomething?"
Mina smiled, her fingers tightening around the phone on her lap, and shook her head.
"Nevermind."
