➸ (not) the end

Not all love stories end with a 'happily ever after'.

Mostly, mine never does.

WHAT HAPPENED?

i. Jongin is no more.

ii. Whatever happened from the prologue till 'the fall', was Jennie's vision from the past.

iii.  Jennie's present life is shown in the 'the world' & the epilogue.

THINGS TO NOTICE:

i. Jennie, Jongin, Taehyung, and Jisoo, the only mentioned four characters in the book have 'Kim' as their surname. What's the relation? 🤷🏻‍♀️

ii. Taehyung kept white lilies on Jongin's tombstone, why? They symbolize remembrance and rebirth, implying Jongin needs to be reborn for Jennie. As her only companion, he knows that's what she cherishes the most.

iii. Jennie threw away the red rose she had angrily, why again? Red roses represent love and grief, both at the same time hence, her schizophrenic brain chose a flower that represented both meanings: yearning- for the guy who's still alive in her brain, and grief- for the guy who's no more in reality.

Thanks for reading Dear Diary, a book inspired by true events.
