Dear Diary,

Today was the best day of my life. In History, we were assigned projects which we have to complete in random pairs and as if it was fate, my partner is Vivienne! She moved seats to sit next to me. She seemed so confident and outgoing, all I was was nervous. "Hi, I'm Vivienne" She said. Butterflies in my stomach, I replied,

"It's nice to meet you, my name's Daisy."

She smiled. "So, any ideas for the project?"

We shared ideas and began to work in near enough silence except from the quiet decisions made about the project. Eventually halfway through the project, Vivienne spoke up. "So, how come we've never spoken before?" She said.

"I'm not one for making friends. I just kind of like to blend in." I responded. It was true after all, I don't have many friends. 

"Well you're welcome to hang out with me and my friends. After all, we could do with some new faces." She said.

Hold on. Did she just invite me to hang out with her? She smiled. That smile. As bright as sunshine, it brought light to my world. "Ok" was all I could say while millions of thoughts raced through my mind. After that, we continued working, said our goodbyes and went on with our day. I'm so excited to see her again tomorrow.
