Dear Diary,
The butterflies have been punched. Park Jimin has a boyfriend.

Now this may make him seem like a jerk for leading me on with yesterday's eye contact and blushing, but I did my research. Miscommunication has soured many relationships (in this case, a to-be one), and I am not letting that happen in my life.

So here's the story I know.

Two years ago, Park Jimin was suffering from severe depression and anxiety issues. His parents put it off as attention seeking drama and stuff he had learnt from his internet friends. They tried their very best to ridicule it, thinking that if he learned to laugh it off, he'd be alright. However, their plan backfired terribly. Jimin thought that his parents were ridiculing him and that they no longer thought he was worth listening to. He tried to suffocate himself by leaving a piece of coal burning in his closed room.

The only person who saw and read the signs correctly was his best friend and beloved, Kim Taehyung. He arrived just in time to drag the semi conscious boy into fresh air. Taehyung saved Jimin's life, and for that, Jimin thinks he belongs to him.

I was quite touched by this, but then, this is only half of the story. People change, angels fall, and so did Kim Taehyung. His old friends think that his 'evil' aunt has something to do with it. The once kindhearted boy completely turned over a new leaf. It happened over the summer. The cheery boy went home with his box-like smile, and no one heard from him throughout the vacation. Jimin did not try contacting him much as Taehyung's family was known to go for holidays to the most isolated places. They were an adventure seeking lot. When he returned to school, there was no sign of a smile. He avoided all his friends and hung around with those who were a bad influence on everyone else. The only person he didn't boycott was Jimin. His friends think that Jimin is what is keeping him linked to his old self, something he doesn't wish to lose just yet.

But the thing is, what was once a tender, caring relationship, has now become a severely one-sided one. Taehyung pushes Jimin around, making fun of him, taking advantage of his quiet, calm personality. Jimin knows this relationship has become toxic, but he believes that his Taehyung, the Tae who saved him, is still in there somewhere. He truly believes that he can bring that happy, laughter-loving boy back. He believes that a fallen angel can be brought back to grace.

I'm torn in two. Should I help Jimin? Should I try and take him away from Taehyung so that I can make him happy?
