Dear Diary,

I get a lot of kids that ask me why I'm a mermaid. I always just say 'because of a special experience' or something. Although, I don't actually believe in mermaids anyway. I know, I know. We've only explored like, less than ten percent of our oceans, but still, what are the odds that humanity has managed to dream up something that actually does exist? Is a mermaid even genetically possible? I suppose ligers are real...

Okay so the reason why I am writing this to you is because I feel kinda guilty lying to these kids, but what would I say if I stop? 'Oh, I dunno, I thought it was cool'? Listen to me, why am I even doing this? Why eeevvveen? I don't know...
