Dear diary,

This is my first ever entry. It's kind of a depressing one, actually. So, my ex-boyfriend, who had just given me a promise ring, broke up with me for no reason.

He claimed he loved me, but he broke up with me. Does that make any sense?

No. Exactly.

We were together for two years. Two damn years. He decided to throw it all away because of a reason he didn't name.

He even told me that it was because of him, not me. That's not a good enough reason, though. Does it even count as a reason? No.

His name is Will. He never told me his last name.

He said he didn't like it.

What kind of relationship was it? One based on lies? It feels like it.

But despite that, it hurts. It hurts because I loved him, I trusted him. I couldn't see past my love for him. It made me blind to what I should've truly seen.

This relationship was based on lies.

And that's what hurt the most.
