If one overlook the fact Arnav bhai ,her cousin got married to Gauri before her than Lavanya's marriage to Vihaan would be the first marriage among the younger generation which meant everyone from her family was invested in it far more than she anticipated . That resulted in her having wide range of opinions about everything and they didn't hold back on letting her know about them as well.         

Since Lavanya had always envisioned getting married to Vihaan ever since she fell in love, it had been easy for her to choose among her options for everything. And with her family vast prospects securing everything according to her choices wasn't hard considering her fiancée had no choice on his own except the bride which happens to be her.           

The smooth sailing plans went for a crash 4 months ago when she hadn't been able to pick the wedding dress among the choices, first she went shopping alone with her mom and it didn't pan out then to help her along, Kavya her cousin arranged for an exclusive shopping experience in one of the famous shops for bridal wears. While Lavanya had been able to buy for her family. She didn't find the one for her there either.         

 That was when Vihaan asked for Rajeev bhai help who promised to get an appointment with all the well known designers so she can have a customized designer wear for her wedding , while Lavanya had been hesitant to accept the offer , she agreed to it when two weeks passed without her finding anything that interested her     

Something didn't click for her at any of the shops and finally agreed to let Rajeev bhai help her but even after meeting three  famous designers in the fashion industry ,it didn't work out for her . Their vision for her wedding attire didn't suit with her at all    

 Lavanya who never had been picky about anything wished she could sort out the issue sooner , it was during her visit to her Uttara aunt house she found the answer to her dilemma. She must have saw her aunt wedding picture  countless time before as it was hung in the living room but that day she was able to finally see her aunt wedding lehenga and though it may not be close to what she envisioned for her wedding, it was far more similar to what she had in mind than every other shop she visited.    

" Aunty where did you buy your wedding attire?" Lavanya asked her and was surprised to find that it was designed by one of the famous designer in town , Kavitha Roy and her initial search online did make her a prospective designer but Rajeev bhai told her that her schedule is too filled up for an appointment and yet her aunt knew her.   

 But when Lavanya asked her aunt if she could arrange for an appointment considering that fact she told Lavanya that Kavita Roy was her friend , only for her aunt to grew bit hesitant. At first she assumed it must be because her aunt didn't want to pressure her friend for her sake .   

But later during dinner with her parents , she found out it had been because Kavita Roy had been her father ex girlfriend. A revelation that shocked Yuv and her who never imagined their father dating anyone else than their mom.            

Lavanya dropped the idea considering the new circumstance but it had been her mother who insisted that Lavanya should at least meet up with the designer first before deciding on whether her designs suit her or not, It had been her Uttara aunt who accompanied her for the trip and Lavanya was surprised that her aunt stayed friend with her father ex all these years.      

" Sanskar Princess. How you grew up since I last saw you " had been Kavita Roy first words once they walked inside her exclusive Boutique and her earlier apprehension about meeting one of her father ex girlfriend flew away as the hour passed by and with just a week before the wedding pre rituals Lavanya was driving now with her parents to get her wedding dress .      

There was a level of anticipation to be finally able to see them after all the wait, and yet there was a hint of concern considering her parents were with her. She didn't know how her father broke up with the designer but over the few times she visited, She found herself liking her a lot and found her to be genuinely warm person    

" I could have went with Uttara Aunty" Lavanya whispered to her mother who was seated next to her, Lavanya didn't want her parents to face any awkwardness due to her decision.    

 " That would be quite rude considering Kavitha went out of her way to get you the dresses on time, I know she is very famous and only accepted your time line because of Uttara and it would be unfair if we didn't thank her in person" had been her mother answer and surprisingly there had been no awkward moments between them and yet when it comes to paying for the dress, Kavita Roy declined the offer to accept them       

" She is your daughter Sanskar.  It a pleasure to design her dress for the wedding. I really hope her fiancée is just like you. Consider the dress a gift from my side" Kavita Roy spoke up and her parents invited her to the wedding which she promised to attend , while Lavanya knew it had been years ago it still amazed her that her father was once in love with someone other than her mother.        

"Why did you break up with her, She seems like a nice person, I am glad you did and met mom later but I  wonder " Lavanya asked her father on the ride back then regretted broaching the topic, she didn't know if it was one of the topic that she shouldn't have asked until a small chuckle broke out from her father at her question that it relieved her to know she hadn't offended him      

" Well She is a nice person indeed and been a childhood friend of mine but she wasn't the one" her father answered back with a smile as he gazed at her mother and Lavanya loved to see the affection in her parents married life, their love for each other always made her feel secure in their togetherness and she wanted that with Vihaan once they got married.

It has been two hours since they got home and once Lavanya emptied her wardrobe to carefully place her wedding clothes safely , half of her clothes were out on the bed having been kicked out of their previous place. When she was young her parents used to give back her clothes to the orphanage she grew up in once she outgrow them and she had done the same over the years , yet her wardrobe had no empty spaces at the moment.          

She was about to hide all the clothes in one of the big suitcases she borrowed from her Ragini aunt when she had been planning to move her stuff from her room to Vihaan house , a knock on her door stopped her plans at the moment as Lavanya, Vihaan sister popped her head inside her room with a smile.    

 " Can i see the dresses Di,  Yuv told me you picked it up ? " Lavanya Rathore asked with a smile .      

"Only if you promise not to tell anything about it to your Bhai" Lavanya answered back as she opened her wardrobe to get the tucked away dresses outside  again. And was thrilled when Vihaan sister liked them as much as her.     

" We can ask her to make your wedding dress, considering Yuv is Dad's Son, you will have them for free as well" Lavanya told Vihaan sister who only blushed at the mention of her marriage, and yet again she wondered how lucky her brother had been to find the one early as well just like her .      

 Lavanya was about to pack the dresses away after Vihaan sister left to meet Yuv when she had two more visitors , as Kavya and Gauri entered her room . Her happiness to see her best friend in person made her rush out to hug her in sigh of relief, she almost worried that Gauri wont make it for the wedding and with all the reporters claiming for Kavya attention, she hadn't been able to see her cousin either as much as she wanted too.            

It had been four year since the three of them met like this and for Lavanya the day couldn't have gone any better  as they shared her happiness about the dress and Lavanya tried to keep the conversation not veer into the past or personal topic and kept it lighter in tone .        

It had been a long time that she was still not sure on how to tread around Gauri ,the last thing she wanted was Gauri to disappear again and she had been happy until her brother walked inside her room and ruined the day with his hurtful words .            

 " Di , Mom wanted Kavya Di to stay for Lunch " her brother spoke up which was far from truth considering he had left out Gauri name on purpose.  At first she hoped he would get over his anger on her behalf soon but apparently still he is angry with Gauri for disappearing from her life.                

 " You stay Kavya , I have to go and pick up Rahul .. " Gauri next words confirmed that her best friend really took Yuv words to heart and Lavanya who never raised her voice against her brother felt angry enough to do so now after seeing Gauri sadness .                

" Yuvraj , apologize now to Gauri . I very well know mom would have asked Gauri to stay as well ." Lavanya raised her voice but Gauri quickly intertwined and asked Lavanya not to make a big deal out of it .               

" Let her speak up Gauri , if Lavanya stayed silent today then Yuv will think he was right . Yuv ,my dear cousin let me tell you something . I understand you better than your sister because you see I did the same as you .                

On behalf of my brother , I hurt Gauri thinking I was being fair to fight for my brother after all I saw how he suffered after their break up . But do you know something in the end , I only split them further apart by my actions and if you continue to act like today then your sister would be the one who lose her best friend and believe me she won't thank you for it later .                

Me acting like you had been the reason your sister lost her best friend for four years and if you really love you sister ,don't become another reason like me " Kavya answered back and Lavanya was taken back by her words just as much as Yuv .                  

" Let go home Gauri , and Lavanya tell aunty we can't stay around today " Kavya answered back as she left with Gauri . Leaving Lavanya alone with her brother who was taken back by Kavya words .                 

 " Yuv , come sit beside me for a moment " Lavanya spoke towards her brother ,because Kavya was right if Lavanya didn't mend the rift then it will only deteroite as time passed away   .             

 " Kavya was right you know , I am trying to mend my friendship with Gauri and you blaming her isn't going to help me little brother . Also the fight between us happened because of Kavya and yet today she had been the one defending Gauri .   You only seen my side of the pain and failed to realize Gauri side of the story , we left her all alone in the middle of a club Yuv . Imagine if someone left Lavanya like that will you be able to forgive them .            

I understand Gauri better than you do and she has more valid reasons for not being in touch all these years , and I am hopeful she will tell me one day so we can move past that but none of it will work if you keep hurting her .           

 Do you know how much she adored you ,she used to carry you all the time when you were a baby  . She had been the first one who began to call you Yuv , she was more than a sister to you little brother.  And for once think about all that before you speak to her next time , you have known her all your life don't let the last four years make you forget that " Lavanya answered back and hoped her brother would get it because she wasn't going to lose her best friend again .
