Dear Asher,

My little boy is all grown up now. I hope you're behaving for daddy.

Well I'm hoping daddy got you up on time. You are probably wearing a uniform. God you look so cute!

I'm sorry Mummy can't be there to drop you off on your big day. I really am. I always wanted that day where I drop off my children and they just cling to me and beg me not to go. Apparently I never did that and my mum was so disappointed. She said I spoilt it.

I just remember how small you were. How small you looked in my big arms. Your daddy would stand behind me, a hand on my waist as we both looked down on you. You were everything we could have wanted and more.

I'm sure daddy is going to be a bit emotional, knowing him. He's going to make you look proper, make sure your clothes are ironed, make sure your shirt is tucked in and he may even comb your hair back. I hope it's as dark and soft as it was the last time I touched it.

I just want to say good luck sweety. You've grown up so fast. You're going to school now, meeting a lot more people. Just remember to be nice, say your please and thank you. If you feel upset then tell the teachers and they can help you okay? And make loads of friends.
