Dean shivered and pulled his leather jacket closer as he waited in the abandoned parking lot, cursing under his breath.

Why was he here in the first place? Because an angel told him to wait here. And man was he ready to kick that angel into next week. He had been waiting for half an hour in freezing temperatures, and was about to walk back to his car when he heard wings fluttering behind him. He turned around, about to start ranting at Cas, when he stopped abruptly.

Castiel was holding a card half his size and a bouquet of roses, a crimson blush evident on his cheeks. Dean raised an eyebrow as Cas walked towards him, struggling slightly with what he was holding.

"The hell, Cas?" Dean questioned, helping him with the awkward hold of both objects. This was weird, and if it was what Dean was waiting for then he would kick the Angel into next week. Cas simply handed the card and roses to Dean, avoiding eye contact.

Dean opened the card and read the message scrawled in blue ink.

Dear Dean,
You are by far the most amazing human I have met. Your eyes are the colour of emeralds and shine like the morning sun. I like you.
~Cas

Dean finished reading and lifted his eyes, giving a questioning glance to Cas, raising the card slightly to hide his blush.

"I heard it was customary for one to give gifts such as these to the person with which they wish to mate with on this day." Cas said, shuffling nervously. Dean smiled, finding the whole endeavour very endearing, despite wanting to strangle the angel earlier.

"I also heard it was customary to find the biggest card and bouquet, and I think this fits-" Cas never got to finish his sentence, because Dean suddenly kissed him, the flowers and card forgotten. Cas was surprised but soon melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Dean.

When they broke apart, Dean leaned his forehead on Cas's, smiling. "Thanks Cas. I love you..." He said, grabbing Cas's hand.

"And I you." Cas replied.
