Four: deals and wolf moon

Emma's P.O.V:

Scott is a damn werewolf and I am too scared to try and help. I've been in my room all night, reading and trying to memorize everything that has to do with lycanthropy... it might be helpful.

Dad is nowhere to be seen and Jess is probably watching TV downstairs.

Wolfs bane, full moon, werewolves' hunters; there's a lot to sink in.

My phone goes off signalling I got a message. I sigh and drop the book I was currently reading. Stupid werewolves.

"Do you know where Allison lives? I'm picking you up in two minutes."

Why would I know where Allison lives?

Oh, wait! I actually know! Scott told me to write it down when she gave him the address over the phone.

Before I notice what I'm doing, I frantically look everywhere for the paper where I wrote the address.

Just when I thought I wasn't going to help.

Oh, come on, Emma. Your dad is a cop, is in your veins wanting to help...Mostly when my best friend's condition is the problem.

One minute and a half; the paper was between the chemistry book. Without checking myself on the mirror, I run downstairs to the front door.

"Where are you going?" Jessica asks me.

"Out! Be back soon!" I yell shutting the door closed behind me.

Just when I reach the street, Stiles' jeep pulls on the driveway. Without thinking it twice, I jump into the passenger seat and he starts driving again. I read the address out loud, right before asking why we need to go to Allison's.

Apparently, Derek Hale is a werewolf and he bit Scott. He left Jackson's party (which I'm the only one at school that didn't attend) so Derek offered Allison a ride and we need to make sure she's alive.

"Why do you need me, again?" I want to clarify everything before jumping into the action.

"Isn't it creepy that a boy is looking for a girl this time of the night? I'm not even friends with Allison!"

"What makes you think I am friends with her? Or with you, even?"

"Would you just drop it?" he sighs. "I don't like you, you don't like me, and everyone knows that! We're doing this for Scott, okay? And I know you want to be friends with her so stop pretending."

"You stop pretending that you know everything about me," I say, although I know he's right. I want a friend and Allison can be that.

"Just shut up and help me out here, okay?"

"Yeah, fine. I think is the next house," I signal Stiles, although I know he already knew. He can read numbers, too.

Stiles parks the car-I'm praying our dads don't see this, because it's awfully parked-and we run to the Argent's front door.

"What we'll say?" I whisper. Stiles opens his mouth to answer but someone opens the door before he has the chance to say anything.

A woman with short hair-and a very creepy appearance- give us a questioning look.

"Um, goodnight, Mrs Argent," I awkwardly greet.

"You've never seen us before, we're friends with your daughter and..."

"This will sound a bit crazy, like really crazy but..." I continue Stiles' sentence.

"Allison! Is for you!" her mom calls her and we both sigh in relief when we see her at the top of the stairs.

"Come in, kids. You look cute together."

Is she serious? We're not a couple and we'll never be one. Put yourself together, Mrs Argent.

Allison gives us a questioning look as she descends the stairs.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We...um, Stiles wanted to make sure you got home alright?" I say looking at Stiles for help.

"Oh, I'm fine," she smiles. This girl is pretty. "I didn't see you at the party, though."

"How would you? You were with Scott the whole time," I scoff, hoping that was true.

"By the way, he's really sorry about tonight. I think he's getting sick or something," Stiles adds.

"Yeah...I guess I'll wait until I hear his version."

She looks to the floor with a hint of sadness. We told Scott this was a bad idea, that idiot ditched Allison now.

"We should get going."

Stiles takes me by the forearm and starts pulling me out of the house.

"Goodnight, Allison!" we say goodbye before jumping into his infamous car again.

He's driving somewhere in the opposite direction of our houses but I don't complain. I don't want to go back to my werewolves' research for now.

"Let's make a deal," he proposes. "You'll help me with Scott and his new condition and I'll share my jeep with you."

"Define 'share'," I listen. If this means I'll have a car, then werewolves hunting sounds fun.

"I'll give you a ride whenever you need it, you can even drive it yourself if you want. Only rule is we'll always need the tank to be full, in case something happens."

"Why are you doing this? You could have just asked me if I wanted to help."

It isn't important; he knows I'm desperate for a car.

"So I can make sure you won't back out this time," he smirks.

"I won't. And you better do me a copy of the keys."

We're in the woods by now.

"Deal."

"There's Scott," I signal, but of course; he already knew.
