"Morning mom" Lolla said while walking down the stairs in her pajamas, some short shorts and a tank top.

"Honey we have visitors" she said when Lolla walked into the kitchen, seeing the Ward and Rose Cameron in the kitchen.

"Oh hello there Mr and Mrs Cameron, I didn't know you were here" Lolla said. "Well I just wanted to say good morning mom and I will be out today"

"Out where?"

"I will actually go shopping with Sarah" she said while putting her hands in front of her, embarrassed at the small amount of clothing she was wearing infront of visitors

"What kind of shopping?" Ward curiously asked, wanting to know where his daughter will be.

"Probably for midsummers"

"Thank god, I have been telling her to go buy her midsummers dress for a week now" Rose complained

"Well we are actually here to talk about midsummers with your mother. Your family will walk out, as well as mine and we just wanted to prepare"

"No way, are we actually going to be getting introduced at midsummers?" Lolla asked excitedly.

For as long as she can remember living on this island, when she was a pogue, all she wanted was to go to midsummers.

One time, John B took her to the beach infront of the country club so that she could see how midsummers was. She found it beautiful. All she wanted was to be one of those girls with the long dresses, dancing the night away not having to worry about keeping food on the table.

And now, her wish was coming to life.

"Yes we are honey" her mother replied, being able to see the excitement on her daughters face.

"Oh my god! I'm so excited mom thank you!" she said before turning around.

"Wait! Here you go honey, have fun and buy a pretty dress" Penelope said while giving her daughter a credit card.

"Thank you mom! See you Mr and Mrs Cameron" she said and turned to walk away.

"This is my all time favorite place to shop for midsummers, you will love it" Sarah told the brunette while walking out of the car. "It sells dresses, shoes, suits, bags. Anything fancy to be honest"

"Well you sound excited. You going with Topper?" Lolla asked and Sarah tensed up.

"Well probably i don't know"

"You would rather go with John B right?" Lolla asked confidently.

Sarah turned around to face Lolla when she said that, her face gone pale.

"What no, how-" Sarah tried to speak before getting cut off.

"Me and John B grew up like siblings, he tells me pretty much everything" Lolla said but Sarah still looked unsure. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me Cameron" she said smiling at the girl.

"Oh my god I'm so glad I can talk to someone about this!" she squealed while walking forward giving the brunette a hug.

"Come on let's go" she said grabbing the girl by her hand and walking in the building.

"Okay so basically Topper has been so clingy and persistent about us having sex, I can't with him anymore" she said, looking through some dresses

"So break up with him?" Lolla said as if it was the most simple thing in the world.

"I want to I really do, but he has so much shit going on I just feel bad-"

"Fell bad about what?" Topper said while coming from behind the girls, Kelce and Rafe on his side.

It was obvious from the tone of his voice that he wasn't aware about what the two girls were talking about prior to his arrival, or else he would have definitely been angrier.

Lolla immediately locked eyes with Rafe and gave him a innocent smile, unsure of how they could keep being friends.

"Oh nothing! What are you guys doing here?" Sarah asked.

"Same thing as you, buying suits for midsummers" Kelce replied

"Pretty sure we aren't here to buy suits Kelce" Lolla joked

"Oh you know what I mean Lolla" he said, looking her up and down, which Rafe noticed immediately.

Rafe couldn't keep his eyes off of the brunette. She was wearing some shorts and a tube top, but she still managed to look beautiful.

She would always be beautiful in his eyes.

"What if we all shop together? Maybe we should get matching colors or something Sarah" Topper said.

"Oh yea definitely that would be great!" Sarah said, which was clear to Lolla that she was faking her excitement, before being pulled away by Topper.

"What do you boys think about wearing?" Lolla asked Kelce and Rafe.

"Probably a suit, or you know maybe a suit" Kelce replied, in a obvious attempt to flirt with the girl

Lolla giggled and gave him a little push. "Oh come on you know what I mean! Like colors and stuff"

"I was thinking like a basic color" Rafe replied.

"Oh my god you guys are so boring! Y'all are gonna help me pick my dress" Lolla replied, mostly looking at Rafe.

For the following minutes, Rafe and Kelce kept showing dresses to the girl that they thought she would like.

Even though Kelce was guessing awfully wrong, Rafe showed her some amazing dresses.

"You guys stay here, I'll go try them on" she said grabbing the dresses and walking into the changing room.

Kelce and Rafe sat on the couch, waiting patiently for the girl.

"Bro I think she might be the hottest girl I've ever seen" Kelce whispered to Rafe, not wanting her to hear.

"She definitely is" Rafe confidently replied, knowing that Kelxe isn't competition.

"What are you guys waiting for?" Sarah asked coming in the room holding Toppers hand.

"Lollas trying on some dresses, apparently we have to judge them" Kelce said.

"Oh fun! Come on Topper let's sit" she said dragging him to take a sit on the couch.

"Alright guys this is the first one what do you think?" Lolla announced walking out.

She was wearing a long, tight, dark green basic dress. Rafe definitely enjoyed the show.

"Looks great" Kelce said, being the one who picked it.

"Too basic" Sarah said

"Agreed" Topper said.

Rafe just sat there stunned, he couldn't belive that there would ever be a dress that didn't suit her.

"Next!" Sarah said while Lolla walked off into the changing room again.

"Come on this one's cute!" Lolla said walking out.

She was wearing a flowy lose blue dress.

"Cute, but not it" Sarah said

Lolla was actually only listening to Sarah's opinion, but it was nice to have the guys opinions too.

"Better or worse then the first one?" She asked, spinning around.

"Worse" Kelce replied, making Lolla let out a groan

"Next!" Sarah said again.

"Alright this is the last one so you guys better like it" she said.

The moment she walked out, Rafe practically felt his Jaw drop.

She was wearing a long, tight, satin, dark red dress with a slit on her leg. It was tight in all the right places and spread out as it went down..

"This one is it" Sarah said excitedly.

"Agreed" Rafe said, still not taking his eyes off of her.

He couldn't believe the beauty that she possessed.

"Don't you guys think it's too much?" Lolla asked, while looking at herself in the mirror.

"If you don't buy this dress I'm buying it for you" Rafe said.

"It literally looks like it was made to fit you" Kelce said

"This is the one!" She said excitedly.

When she went to ring her dress up at the counter, she overheard some conversation going on behind her.

"Daddy I want a pink one!" A girl, that looked around 6-7 years old said pointing at a dress to her father.

"Whatever you want gummy bear." her father said smiling down at his daughter.

"I wanna look like a princess" the little girl said jumping up and down.

"You already are a princess! A dress won't make you one"

"I love you daddy" she said putting her hands up for him to hug her

"Me too gummy bear, me too"

She wished her father could have been like that.

When Lolla used to tell him that she wanted to go to midsummers, he used to laugh at her and tell her that she were more likely to grow a third eye then to go to midsummers. He told her that she didn't deserve to go.

She wanted to be that little girl. She wanted her father to love her like that.

"Lolla? You okay?" Rafe said, gaining her attention.

She turned around to face him, without realizing that tears had stained her eyes.

"Yea yea I'm good" she said wiping her face with her hands.

She turned around and realized that the others were already outside.

It was crazy to think that they could never understand what she was going through. Even though she was the richest girl on the island, nothing comes without a cost. Everyone only saw her surface level except from the guy next to her.

"Thank you so much sir, have a good day" she heard the cashier say and turned around, seeing rafe paying for her dress.

"Come on you didn't have to do that" Lolla spoke softly.

"I mean I picked it for you so it's only fair" he replied.

There was a silence. He could see her hurting, even when she was trying to hide it

"When I see fathers with their sons I get the same feeling. You're not alone"

"I don't know what your talking about" Lolla said, trying to cover her face which she was currently sobbing.

"Come here" he said while giving her a long hug. "I'll always be here Lolla, never forget that" he said while rubbing her back while she was quietly sobbing into his chest.

That was the moment Lola realized, something would always draw her back to Rafe Cameron, always.
