GR Parking
Lavanya parked her car in the vast parking area of G&R.
The large complex, containing 30 floors, stretched out over three towers, holding roughly 7,000 office workers. It was facing Yamuna River, included pedestrian bridges and staff quarters in it, that formed its own type of 'underground city.'
'It is the first time after Papa's death that I am coming here.' A sudden nostalgia hit Lavanya. While she was busy, controlling her emotions, she met the most unexpected person.
"Lavanyaji, Hi!" Aman's hesitant voice made her stop.
There was an awkwardness between them as two came face to face.
"Hi, Amanji." Lavanya responded for the sake of formality, removing her large brown shades. Dressed in a straight kurta and denims...she was simply beautiful.
"How come you here?" He was asking really silly questions.
'It was her own office after all!' Aman chided himself.
Although Lavanya had agreed for the marriage but after seeing Aman in front of her, she was not sure how would she start a new life with this man. It was really feeling odd.
"Khushi has called me. She wanted to discuss something important." She answered him politely.
Lavanya was not new to this office, although her visits were only on certain occasions.
"Oh. Come, I will take you to her cabin." Aman offered, loosening his tie on the three piece suit.
Aman had also agreed for the marriage, when ASR had talked about it. After all his Amma was too much excited for it.
"It's fine Amanji, I will manage. Please don't bother."
Seeing her already walk ahead, Aman didn't insist, as he saw her retreating back. He needed time to accept, that he will be a Gupta son-in-law soon.

'Where the hell is this NK?' Khushi was tired calling him.
She has got a message from NK's number two hours ago.
"KKG, I am going for some days. Sorry can't meet you now."
After that Khushi had texted him back but there was no answer.
If NK had to go, he should have at least talked to her on phone. He even didn't mention, where he was going.
As she was scribbling something in the file, Lavanya came in.
"What happened Khushi? Is everything fine with the company?" Lavanya thought it must be the business, that prompted her sister to call her in office urgently.
"Lavi! Everything is fine. Can't I call my sister for a lunch and have a sister moment?"
If Lavanya found Khushi too sweet, she didn't express it.
"But we can talk even at home Khushi. We live together, remember?"
Khushi tried to laugh at her sister's pun. She didn't want to turn talks against her so soon.
"I have already ordered your favorite Smoked Turkey Sandwich and Chocolate Truffle. Do you want something else?" Khushi tried to change the topic.
"That's fine sis!" Lavanya was delighted, not getting the real aim of her not-so-sweet sis-ter. They sat at the plush sofa as the order came.
During the delightful lunch, Khushi initiated the subject, "Soon you will be a shareholder of company, Lavi."
Lavanya just nodded in reply, engrossed in her chocolaty dessert.
"Isn't 15% ownership too less for the favourite daughter of Papa?" Khushi added after a minute of silence.
Lavanya frowned, chewing the sweet slowly.
"I mean, the elder daughter of the owner of G&R, that is me, will have the 30% shares of the company, will marry the chairman, who hails 20%. I think it's injustice on you, that I will be the 50% owner of G&R."
"I don't think so, Khushi." Lavanya answered calmly. "You shouldn't feel bad for me. In fact I am happy for you. It was Papa's decision and it can't be wrong."
Khushi gave a fake smile to her sister for her mature words.
She knew Lavanya was never materialistic, so Khushi's talks had no effect on her. But she was also aware of her weaknesses...as she tried to play with her.
"Don't lie Lavi! I know you are not ready for this marriage." Lavanya didn't dare to look at Khushi, who continued, "I have seen a decade of your and Arnav's love."
"No, Khushi. I have understood now, it was just one-sided love. I took Arnavji wrongly. He was just a kind friend, a teenage crush." Lavanya outpoured her emotions.
Khushi took a sharp breath. Her sister was too hard to talk.
"So what if it is one-sided with Arnav, at least it is not what Papa has decided for you. You and Aman, both are not less than strangers...!" Khushi spoke exasperatedly.
While Lavanya's face was showing very well, how much affected she was. Khushi's words were working.
"Papa has gone Lavi! Never to come back. Now it is us who need to spend our lives." Khushi kept her hand on Lavanya's shoulder.
"Lavanya if you want to marry Arnav, I will talk to him. You won't like to ruin 4 lives? Specially of Aman!" Khushi's mind was running at the topmost gear as she threw another card. "You won't be able to love the poor guy, if your heart is broken."
"Khushi please! It can't happen." Lavanya finally answered.
"Why not? Lavanya, marriage is not trial and error. You will be never happy and neither Papa and Mom." Khushi tried her Trump card. Lavanya's eyes were wet now.
"I hope you know about Aman's relationship with Sheetal!" Khushi tried to know, if Lavanya knew about it.
Fully confirmed that Lavi was unaware of Aman's incomplete love story, Khushi threw another lie.
"Aman and Sheetal were deeply in love, planning to get married soon."
Lavanya's face became colorless, "Then what happened? Why did Amanji agree for our proposal if he loves Sheetal?"
"I am not sure though, but I have heard that Arnav and Madhumati Aunty forced him." Khushi said in a low tone...
"If he was not willing to marry then he should have told his mother." Lavanya was hurt by the new revelation.
Khushi rolled his eyes, buttoning up her blazer on her tight business suit. But next words of Lavanya annoyed her.
"Whatever it is Khushi. If Amanji doesn't care of his own life then why should I change Papa's decision for him!"
But Khushi couldn't accept the defeat so easily.
"Lavanya, don't let your ego destroy your life."
That was the most unexpected line from KKG.
'Talking about ego, are we?' But Khushi ignored her conscience now, concentrating back on her sister.
"Aman is just the MD, while Arnav is the chairman of this company. He is more successful and any girl would die to marry that person. And here you love Arnav, Lavi."
"Khushi, since when you have started to believe in love!"
Khushi had no answer for Lavanya's question.
"If Arnavji is so good then why don't you marry him Khushi!"
"Lavanya I am not like other girls."
"Neither am I!" Lavanya has had enough as she pushed her plate aside. "Why am I feeling, that this lunch had some hidden motive? Tell me Khushi."
Khushi moved her eyes away, now being caught.
"Tell me Khushi, do you really want my happiness, or it is a part of one of your revenge plans against Arnavji?"
"Come-on Lavanya, I thought you know me!" Khushi started her emotional drama.
"Yes I know you!" Lavanya said firmly. "I know how manipulative you can be, but I didn't know that you won't spare even your sister!" Her voice was a notch higher.
"What will I get by marrying you off to Arnav?" Khushi tried to dominate. "If you get married to him, you will have the majority shareholding, a company chairmanship and a big Raizada family!" Khushi again tried to persuade Lavanya.
"Now that is also not comprehendible to me Khushi! Tell me what will you get?" Lavanya was serious as she asked with a raised eyebrow.
Khushi was not a fool to display her plan so openly, as she pursed her lips.
"I think it is a waste of time, to make you understand my love for you Lavi!"
That was a hint for Lavanya to leave from there. She took her handbag and went away...without any more word exchange.
While Khushi punched the wall, on her failure to persuade her sister.
But she can't sit peacefully. She knew that Lavanya is a bit affected.
If Sam(talk) and Dam(money power) didn't work, then Dand(punishment) or Bhed(discontent) will surely do.
Khushi was determined to get Lavanya married to Arnav, and that would be the breach of her father's Will.
And as per the Will, Lavanya would not be able to get her share, and Khushi would buy it...
Simple!
She called the event manager of G&R.
"Arrange a grand celebration party tonight! Press should also be there." Her eyes were determined and a vile smirk on her red lips.

Lavanya was driving back to home, but with a heavy heart. 'My own emotions aren't less that I have to even endure the burden of Amanji's!'
Khushi had made her confused.

Up Above The Sky
"Garima, what had you eaten when you were pregnant with Khushi?"
"Same thing that your mother had eaten when she was pregnant with you!" Garima answered back Shashi with a funny smile, while Shashi just made a face in return.
