Part 57 Khushi as a...

"Will you walk or, shall I pick you up in my arms?" Arnav asked teasingly.

Khushi extended her hands, asking him to pick her up, making him speechless. Arnav stood motionless for a few seconds. Khushi smiled at him and tried to walk away. Arnav who managed himself, held her wrist and pulled her towards him. In no time, he wrapped her in his arms, making her bewildered.

"Will you be fine with whatever I asked for?" he asked in a husky tone. She bowed down understanding the meaning of his words.

Arnav's index finger slipped under her chin and raised her head.

"Answer me"

She looked into his eyes where there were expectations.

"You recovered well. Started walking well, getting back to work too..."

Khushi parted her lips perplexed. He came close to her and whispered,

"What about our first night?"

Khushi widened her eyes and leaned her forehead on his shoulder. In no time, Arnav picked her up in his arms, making her shock. She was more shocked when he started walking, taking her in his arms.

"Arnavji, what are you doing?" she asked panicky.

"You asked me to pick you up"

"But, what if anyone sees us?"

"So what if anyone sees us? We are husband and wife and they already saw me picking you up"

"But, at that time, I was injured but now I'm healed. I can walk and do anything..."

"Anything?" he elevated his brows with a smile.

Khushi averted her gaze from his face which had a smirk.

At the same time, Ratna came there with a pooja plate, completing the morning pooja. She was taken aback, seeing Khushi in Arnav's arms. Khushi tried to get out of his arms but Arnav gripped her tight, making her shock. She looked at Ratna perplexed.

"Mmm... got a pleasant sight in the morning. I think my day will be pleasant" Ratna kept vermillion on their foreheads smiling and fed them Prasad.

"Khushi wanted me to pick her up, Mom. How could I deny it?"

Khushi dropped her jaw.

"No, Aunty. He was the one who wanted to pick me up" she said hurriedly.

"Haan, I wanted to... that's why I picked you up" He smiled.

"You picked her up... there is nothing to feel embarrassed. Your office staff will think she is still not able to walk" Ratna teased.

"This is absolutely a good idea, Mom" Arnav laughed.

Khushi widened her eyes and struggled to get off. Arnav put her down smiling.

"I can walk," she said hurriedly. She didn't want Arnav to do it in the office also.

"Khushi, you should understand one thing. Chotte didn't pick you up just because you can't walk... it's because he wanted it"

Khushi looked at Arnav who nodded yes, pressing his lips.

"This is your first day in office after your wedding. Now you are not just a mere staff of A2 but Mrs. ASR..." Ratna smiled.

"Bless me, aunty" Khushi touched her feet, bending down. In no time, Arnav also touched her feet with Khushi.

"You guys are made for each other... stand for each other and hold one another's back" She kissed Khushi's forehead.

They came downstairs and saw Lavanya fully ready.

"Hey, where are you going?" Ratna asked.

"Going to A2"

"A2? Are you going to be helpful to Khushi? But she healed. She doesn't need your help" Ratna said.

"I'm going to A2 to join A2"

"Join?" Arnav wondered.

"Yes... Khushi talked with Aman Bhai too"

"With Aman but me? Why?"

"To see your face all surprised" Lavanya chuckled.

Arnav and Ratna looked at each other frowning, whereas Khushi smiled.

"Is that Khushi who is behind your decision?" Ratna asked.

Lavanya nodded yes.

"When did it happen?"

"Khushi wanted me not to be sitting at home. She insisted on me even before your wedding. Now I understand my value"

"Great... you can come to A2 but should not disturb Khushi," Arnav said strictly.

"When she is alone or when she is with you?" Lavanya asked teasingly.

"You are so smart. Let's go" Arnav walked.

They took Ratna's leave and left RM. Ratna was so glad that Lavanya finally understood her value.

A2

Aman arranged a grand welcome to his partner who was coming with his completely recovered wife. That was also a surprise to Arnav. That was the first time Aman did something without his consent.

"From when did you start doing things without my knowledge? You appointed Lavanya in A2 and now this one..."

"About Lavanya, she wanted it to be a surprise. So, I could not help. And this... I know you. you will definitely have stopped me"

"Who said?"

"Would not have you?"

"No... I may not be interested in this but I'm glad as Khushi deserves it"

Aman nodded yes.

"Any progress, ASR?"

"What are you talking about?"

"About the case... about senior ASR..."

Arnav nodded no.

"The boy was so stubborn. I'm sure he was warned strictly..."

"He is already in jail... then how could he be scared?"

"He is in jail but his mother and sister...! His mother's operation happened properly without any fuss. They settled him the money as they said, even though Khushi is alive... I don't know how I'm going to clear this mess. Till yesterday, Khushi was safe in RM but now, Khushi is out of RM. I'm really nervous Aman. I don't know whether they ended their effort of hurting Khushi or not. I'm really tensed"

That was the first time, Aman saw Arnav being tensed.

"Relax ASR... don't let your mind be disturbed. You can't think anything properly then..."

Arnav nodded yes.

"Is your father alright?"

"I can't conclude that man, Aman. Though he is doing nothing suspicious, I don't know why I can't trust him"

"Why do you doubt him if he doesn't do anything suspicious?"

"Rohan is following him. He is attending parties these days, which is not his character. He doesn't like parties you know"

"He may get new friends... they would have insisted on him for the parties..."

"Exactly... he got new friends but Rohan could not get information about them..."

"This is confusing"

"Yes... and being in the same house, he met Khushi for only one time after her accident."

"Disgusting"

"Highly... he talks like he is so fine with our wedding but I don't feel so"

Aman was supposed to say something, but he stopped seeing Khushi coming.

Taking a file from his table, he forwarded it to Khushi. She took it from him smilingly.

"This is the biggest event we have ever conducted..."

"I think yes... it's an event of one of the Richest families in India. No mistakes should happen. Until the event finishes, we are not going to accept any other contract"

Khushi nodded ok.

"You are going to lead us," Said Aman making Khushi stunned.

"Me?"

"Yeah... though we all are in the team, you are the sole responsible for the total event"

"But, why, Aman?" Arnav asked.

"Because we know she is capable of doing it"

"I and ASR will have to concentrate on our company auditing because we should be careful about it after the IT raid but we will do what you want us to"

Khushi nodded ok.

"Keep the file with you and start working in YOUR STYLE"

Khushi nodded ok with a smile.

She came to her cabin and started collecting ideas regarding the event. They were one of the richest families in India. So, they won't mind about the expense but the RESULT. So, she didn't have to bother about the money and could apply any ideas. She added a few more blank papers in the file and started writing her ideas in that. Of course, sincerely... in that she didn't notice someone entering her cabin. She jerked as Arnav flicked his fingers near her ear.

"It seems you started working in full fledge?"

Khushi nodded yes smiling.

"You may be responsible for the event. At the same time, make sure of something"

"What?"

"As MY PA... you should give your time to me"

"Yes, BOSS" she chuckled.

"And, one more thing too..."

Khushi looked at him, like, what?

"As a WIFE you ought to give your time to your husband. I need your time Mrs. Raizada"

Khushi smiled looking at the file.

"You have not answered my question yet..."

"What question?"

"I asked you something this morning... about our first night..."

"It's not in our hands"

"Why?" He frowned.

"Elders should fix the date... maybe, from today onwards, we will sleep alone"

"Whaaaaat?"

"Yeah... I'm recovered now. So, they won't allow me to be with you until they fix the date I suppose"

Arnav was looking at her horrified who was controlling herself not to smile.
