Part 16 Alliance

Ratna's hand stopped, seeing the MOLE that was near Khushi's right ear. She sat next to Khushi and asked, pointing to the mole,

"Do you have this mole from your childhood?"

"Yeah..." Khushi shrugged her shoulders.

"Are you sure?"

"This is one of my identification marks Aunty"

Ratna gazed at her gulping down.

"Where are you from?" Ratna inquired.

"Laxminagar"

"Is Delhi your native?"

"No Aunty, we shifted to Delhi fourteen years ago"

"Before that...?"

"Rudraprayag..." she said.

Ratna was dumbfounded.

"You mean, from the district where Kedarnath is located?"

"Jee..."

"That means, you would have gone to Kedarnath, right?"

"No, Aunty. I never went to Kedarnath."

Ratna was disappointed.

"Oh... your parents would not have faith in God, I suppose,"

"No, Aunty. They visit Kedarnath every year,"

Ratna was stuck.

"Then why don't they take you with them?"

Khushi shrugged her shoulders nodding NO. Ratna became restless. Khushi was from the district of Kedarnath. Her parents used to visit Kedarnath every year but they didn't take Khushi with them. Something seemed suspicious to her.

"Why did you guys emigrate to Delhi?"

"For my studies, Aunty"

"Oh... how many of you are there in your family?"

"I and my parents"

"Don't you have siblings?"

"No, Aunty, I'm the only daughter"

Khushi was perplexed as Ratna asked the same questions Arnav asked her.

"What's your father?"

"He is working in a private company"

"Mother?"

"She is a homemaker"

"Oh..." Ratna became thoughtful.

"By the way, Lavanya, may I ask you something?" Khushi asked.

"Yeah..."

"You have the qualification to be the PA of Mr. Raizada. Then why don't you join A2?" Khushi asked.

"Sorry, dear. Doing a job is not my cup of tea. I'm not interested in business and all. I don't even know what Arnav is doing in the office. it's the biggest stress you know"

"But, Mr. Raizada is not stressed"

"Of course, he is never stressed but I don't have such an attitude. See, I don't even know who is his PA..." Lavanya smiled.

"Don't mistake, me, being a businessman's sister, are you going to be sitting at home for your whole life?"

"As of now, I have no idea about doing a job, Khushi. In case, the future forces me, then, I will think about it"

Khushi finished the lunch and washed her hands.

"Thank you for your lunch, Aunty. You cook so tasty," she smiled pleasantly.

"Thank you, beta, keep coming,"

Khushi smiled and said nothing.

"I have to go, Aunty"

"Khushi, don't you take the file from Arnav?" Lavanya asked.

"Yeah, I have to..."

"Come"

Lavanya was supposed to take her to Arnav's room but Arnav himself came downstairs with the file.

"Chotte, why do you come downstairs? Can't you be resting?" Ratna chided.

Khushi bit her lip haring CHOTTE.

"I came to give this file to Khushi, Mom"

"Lavanya is supposed to come to your room with Khushi to take the file," Ratna said.

"That's ok, mom. I'm alright"

"Why don't you listen to me, Chotte? I was scared when I saw you with a heavy fever this morning because this is the first time you have had a fever but you are not at all minding about anything" She said with disappointment.

"Mom, I had the medicine given by you. then why are you bothering unnecessarily? I'm feeling better now"

"I think Aunty is scared because she thinks you may come to the office if you start roaming" Khushi smiled.

Ratna was amazed, seeing Khushi talking about HIM in front of HIM.

Composing herself,

"He will definitely do that, Beta. You don't know about him" Ratna said and Arnav rolled his eyes.

Khushi smiled at Arnav teasingly, like, 'DON'T I KNOW YOU?'

Ratna who noticed Khushi's FEARLESS approach flabbergasted. She could not believe someone could face her son this way. Were not people usually scared to stand in front of Arnav? She saw his employees standing so politely, bowing down in front of him.

"Have your friend had lunch?" He asked, Lavanya.

"Yup, we had..." Lavanya said, giving a side hug to Khushi.

He extended the file to Khushi. She took it from him.

"You guys don't have to stop the party. Just go ahead with the plan" Arnav said.

"The Party is not going to be held today because we have not even started the preparations of the party," Khushi said.

"But why? You are the one who was assigned to arrange the party, right?" Arnav asked with confusion.

"Yes, I was the one. That's why I didn't start it because I knew you won't come to the office today"

More than Arnav, Ratna, and Lavanya were stunned. She didn't arrange the party because she assumed he would not go to the office? Did she know he would get a fever? But how?

"But, how do you know he would have a fever today?" Lavanya asked before Ratna did.

"He drenched in the FIRST rain yesterday... that's how"

"Haan, I drenched in the rain without listening to you. So?"

WITHOUT LISTENING TO HER? What was happening there?

"Nothing... you just had a fever"

"It happens... ok?"

"Did you tell him not to drench?" Ratna asked unbelievably.

Khushi nodded yes. That was the eighth wonder. How did this girl DARE advise ASR?

"What would you have done if I had come to the office today?" Arnav asked with an ASR attitude.

"I would have arranged the party today itself, simple..."

"But how could you do it today itself?"

"I have planned everything and paid advances to all but didn't give them the EXACT date of the party and asked to be ready to deliver the needed things to the party today too"

Arnav gazed at her unbelievably.

"What's the necessary?" he asked.

"Is not it?"

Arnav blinked his eyes and said nothing.

"You are the BOSS after all..."

"OK, make arrangements for tomorrow"

"Sure..."

She looked at Ratna who was gazing at her and said,

"Bye, Aunty, bye Lavanya," Khushi said.

"I will send you an invitation to my next party and you should attend it" Lavanya demanded.

"I will try" Khushi smiled and walked off.

Ratna looked at Arnav who was gaping at Khushi.

"Mom, I'm hungry," He said.

"I will bring it to your room"

Arnav nodded ok and walked to his room. He turned behind and saw Lavanya dragging Ratna aside. He frowned with confusion. Why did Lavanya drag Ratna with her? He slowly approached them with curiosity. Lavanya looked here and there and asked,

"Mom, what made you question Khushi a lot?"

"I doubt she may be our Khushali"

"Whaaaat?" Lavanya was shocked and Arnav got alert. What made his mother think so?

"Yeah, there is a MOLE near her right ear."

"Did Khusha have it?"

"Yes..."

"But...many people can have the mole..."

"Didn't you hear what she told? Her parents visited Kedarnath every year but they never took Khushi with them"

"So?"

"They didn't want her to know something... or, they are hiding something from her"

"But why?"

"She might not be their own daughter... that's why"

"Do you think so?"

"I doubt so"

Arnav who heard them had mixed feelings. Was there a chance for Khushi to be his WIFE? Yeah, her character matched with Khushali but, he didn't analyze deeply like his mother did. He walked to his room thinking about how to find the truth. He had no choice other than to approach a detective agency. He searched for the best detective agency on Google and found one with a five-star rating. They dealt with more than one hundred fifty cases so far. That gave him satisfaction. He dialed the agency and did what he had to.

The next day

Arnav came to A2 and saw Khushi in haste to arrange the party. She saw him and smirked.

"Good morning Mr. STEEL BODY" she teased.

"Of course, I'm..." he raised his brows.

"Yeah, I saw it yesterday"

"I had a fever... so what? Anyone can..."

"But, no one flaunts like you do" She mocked.

"Stop blabbering and get back to work"

"I'm doing that only..." She left the place.

Arnav headed to his cabin smiling.

Khushi and Akash were in full swing in arranging the party on the terrace. Khushi did that only after going through the weather conditions and confirming that there was no chance of RAIN that day. Yet, she arranged the terrace with a lavender-colored fiber tent.

"Khushi, go and have lunch. I will be here until you come" Akash said.

Khushi nodded ok and came downstairs. That was when a girl entered AR. She saw Khushi and became excited.

"Excuse me..." she said.

"Yeah?"

"You are Khushi, right?"

"Yeah... you?"

"Nirupama... your senior in Holy Cross school..."

"Oh... I'm sorry... I could not remember you"

"But, I can't forget you... We went to the Agra tour remember?"

"Yeah... I do..."

"You were singing and dancing in the bus the whole way to Agra with your friends and cheered up us"

Khushi smiled.

"You became famous in our school after the tour, right?"

Khushi nodded yes.

"I just did that to make the tour interesting"

"Yeah... you sang the Hindi songs translating them in English with funny meanings..."

"With wrong meanings too..." Khushi chuckled.

"You and I are on the BEACH...(Tere mere beech main)" Nirupama laughed and Khushi joined.

"Nice to meet you after a long..." Nirupama said.

"Me too... by the way, why are you here?"

"I came to meet Arnav Singh Raizada"

"Oh..."

"We got his ALLIANCE" Nirupama smiled.

Khushi raised her brows. ALLIANCE? Khushi frowned.

"His father wants me to meet him in person. You know what? He hasn't known about the alliance yet"

*Poor girl, don't know what SIN she had done in the previous birth that she is here with his alliance* Khushi felt bad for the girl inwardly.

"I'm going to give him a surprise," she said excitedly.

"Go ahead..."

Arnav stood up from his seat and saw Khushi talking to a girl who was not his office employee. Who was she?

"Where is his cabin?" Nirupama asked.

Khushi pointed at Arnav's cabin. Arnav frowned when the girl advanced into his cabin. Khushi went to her cabin praying Devi Maiya to save the girl from the Komodo Dragon.
