If you judge People on their past and what they used to do, trust me you will always find something to talk about or criticize about but Rather Look at who they are now, You'll see a person that everyone looks up to and inspires to be, then you hear about their past hence Don't be  surprised because People grow and change No one is born wise that comes with growth, experiences and learning so instead of complimenting positively and encouraging them for who they're right now don't drag them down nor remind them where they used to be
As umar ibn Al khattab (R.A) said "people with the worst past create the best future "

"and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety"
