No matter how painful your situation might be it's important to be humble and be kind to others because the essence of being a Muslim is being humble and the word 'Muslim' itself means to submit oneself in ultimate humbleness to Allah swt and we constantly need to remember that Allah swt ordained us to be humble 
And also that Humility, modesty and forbearance are the most virtues in all aspect of our lives that they're essential of who we really are therefore let's try to be humble to please Allah AWJ
