Gratefulness gives you that reassurance that you are far more blessed than many people and that should make you happy and satisfied because when you understand that
Allah swt blesses each person in their own way and that He will bless you as well, you won't feel the need to be jealous of what others have.
You won't feel the need to compete with others, you will be content knowing that He Has and will always bless you  just as He blesses many others.
You will even start to love and be happier for what others have because the same Rabb who's blessing you is blessing them.
Nothing is being taken away from you. They're just being blessed by Allah swt just like you are in your own way.
