Chapter 13: Powerpuff Girls

I cannot believe that I am doing this. I don't know how or why this has happened. How could training for a boxing tournament turn into a giant house party with the Powerpuff Girls and Ky's sister. The worst part is my dad is losing his mind.

"How many girls are coming over?" Dad asked.

"Four."

"They are all cool with each other?"

"I am not dating any of them, dad."

My dad couldn't hold in his laughter. "Sorry."

"Look. This was supposed to be a simple sparring match with Ky. I needed Erin to help with the communication barrier and of course Erin doesn't travel without the rest of the Powerpuff Girls. Then she invited Ky's sister who also can communicate with Ky. So, I don't understand why they both need to come." I explained.

"The Powerpuff Girls?"

"You know that cartoon I used to watch" My father's confusion showed all over his face as I tried to explain things to him. "The super hero triplets."

"I'm sorry bud."

"Fighting crime, trying to save the world! Here they come just in time; the Powerpuff Girls." I sang for my dad. Any respect my dad had for me was thrown out the window as he bent over in laughter.

My father immediately lost interest after my performance. Still, my father is good at being a host. When I say good host I mean my dad just hired someone to do it for him.

I wanted to avoid what happened to Ky, I warned everyone that my house was bigger than normal, but I fear I may not have done it justice. I say this because the girls looked shocked while Ky jumped around in excitement. I guess size does matter.

"Do you guys want a tour?" I asked nervously because I never had friends over before.

Ky ran over to the door and let himself in like he owned the place.

I had never seen a group of females so quiet before. They were taking the house in for sure. Besides my mom's room the house had this gray color. Not like a dirty color, but a dark gray floor with off white walls.

"Oh my God, there are two of them." Brooke gasped at the sight of my father.

I understood why Ky was silent, but Erin's silence was surprising. Before I had the chance to tease Erin, my father did the unspeakable.

"Ty, I found the girls theme song!"

To my horror I heard the theme song to the Powerpuff Girls echoing through the home's entertainment system. That basically means that the music was so loud that the whole neighborhood could hear it.

The vibrations change definitely scares Ky as the bass shocks the house. Ky clung onto my arm for safety. I felt bad. He probably thought it was an earthquake or something.

I was trying my best to avoid eye contact with the three girls who were now laughing at me.

"What's wrong with him?" My dad said pointing at Ky.

"He's deaf. The vibrations scared him." Katerina explained. "He can hear some sounds but to Ky they become distorted."

My dad just waved her off. My dad doesn't believe in treating people differently if they have a disability. Normally that is the polite thing to do, but in some cases treating somebody different because of their disability is needed. For example you are not going to yell at someone to stand up if you know they cannot move their legs.

However, trying to explain this to my father is a different story in itself.

"Get the girls some snacks, lose the shirts, and meet me in the gym for the paint drill." My dad ordered as he walked away,

"Okay daddy." Erin whispered to the group of girls.

"You know damn well he wasn't talking to you." I snapped at Erin.

"Ty, quick question." Katerina said, interrupting the current chaos. "What's the paint drill?"

"I have no idea."
