Silence...

It was the only thing I could hear...

I've dreamed of hearing music, laughter, just noise in genral...

But of course, it's only a dream, for I am deaf.

I was awaken by the touch of my mother's hand, slowly shaking my sleeping body. She smiled with her evenly teeth, and motioned me to wake up and get ready for my first day of high school. I was completely nervous, it wasn't just my first day of highschool, it was also my first day of non-homeschool.

But I wasn't going to let my fear of bullying and teasing get the best of me, I had to stay strong and not care what people think. I told my Mother this before, in writing of course, and she agreed.

I goggily sat up on my bed, rubbing my tried eyes before swinging my legs over to the side of my twin-size bed. The cold sent shivers down my spine once my feet touched the cold wood floor of my bed.

I then stumbled over to my dresser, where my cloths for today were neatly folded. I grabbed my pile of cloths and slowly walked over to my bathroom across the hall. I took my pj's off and started to put on my clothes.

My outfit was causul, nothing special just a blue flannel and black jeans. I ran my brush through my hair. A few strings of hair stuck out but I didn't mind. I walked out as myself not someone I'm not.

I grabbed my galaxy backpack off the chair, I grabbed my spiral notebook of the table and placed a pencil behind my ear.

My Mom was waiting for me at the door, with her car keys in her hand. She opened the door for me as I past her. I walked down our little set of stairs past my Mom's garden and to her Honda. She unlocked the car doors and the opened themeselves.

I placed my backpack on the floor next to my legs. Throughout the drive I started writing sentnces that I would use during the day like, " Hello, I'm Madision, the answer is..., or sorry. " At least that's what I read in teen fictions.

Soon enough we arrived to Garden Grove High School, I saw groups of girls on their phones and a group of jocks kicking soccer balls. Some weren't in groups, some where reading books or on their computers.

My Mom pulled over and gave me a big bear hug, I began to write " Love you Mom, see you after school. " I showed her and she smiled her pretty smile. I hopped out of the car, the gates of Garden Grove High School opened and school was now in session.
