Call Me Wade
After letting Harleen take off his mask, things changed for Wade. He decided to change into the prison outfits usually given to the patients at Arkham. He no longer wore his red and black Deadpool suit. He was more quiet and acted more like a model prisoner. It was a week after the unmasking. Harleen was wearing her glasses, white coat, an aqua blue buttoned down shirt, a gray skirt, and heels to match. She went into the room where she had her usual sessions with Wade. She saw him unmasked, not in his Deadpool suit, wearing the prison uniform, sitting on his usual chair. She almost didn't recognize him, but knew it was him immediately. "Looked unrecognizable, didn't I?" Wade asked with a little humor. "Almost Deadpool," Harleen said, sitting down.
"Please doctor, call me Wade..." he requested. "Alright Wade," she replied, knowing this was unusual for her patient, but, to lighten the mood, "how've you been?"
"A lot better now that my arms don't hurt," joked Wade, "though now that I've tried the food here, makes me hungry for some tacos." This made Harleen smile. She couldn't blame him. She usually brought her own lunch from home. "Can I be serious though?" asked Wade. "Of course you can," said Harleen, "what's on your mind?"
"I've been having these nightmares lately..." Wade said with dread. Harleen got out her notebook and pen, saying, "Tell me about them."
"Where do I begin?" asked Wade as he remembered them, "They consist of the time my mom died from cancer, all the awful things Francis did to me, the people he's killed. I've had nightmares where he's killed the people I love, like Vanessa... I even had one nightmare where he killed you..." Harleen then wrote, "Subject suffers from nightmares of his past, including the loss of loved ones. May suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."
Wade then shed tears. Harleen looked at him sadly. She then stood from her chair, walking to Wade's chair. As if on cue, Wade moved over, allowing her to sit next to him. She then gently hugged him. Wade let her hug him. "Now you know why I'm depressed," Wade said sadly. "Looks like you've had a bad past and it catched up ta you..." she softly said, "But it's going to be okay, I promise..."
